I struggle to think of how Keita Hoshi's music would sound anywhere near as good on any other platform but 5-bit wavetable. One other strange thing about this particular soundtrack: the first overworld theme doesn't sound like a first level theme, but the final overworld theme does sound like a final level theme, even though the reverse is the norm in Japanese soundtracks like this one.
