I wear this on the daily. As I creep further into my 30s my skin becomes drier. Makeup doesn't seem to sit right on my skin the way I want it to, and this tinted moisturizer works well for me. I don't mind that it's sheer. Gives me some extra moisture, SPF and something for blush, bronzer and highlight to stick to!

I really love it! ... I have the sheer tan 30 shade and use it all year long. It does it's job adapting to any tone after a few minutes... I would recommend to use a setting powder on the eyes area just because of the sunscreen, after some hours if you happen to touch your eyes or sweat the product will make you cry 💦

It's wild!! It's very close to the CYO 101 (which I'm now out of and of course is discontinued), just a smidge darker. Lots of people describe them both as a gray undertone and I guess it is but for some reason it totally vibes with my coloring!

I’d think Fair would be the lightest and then Ivory if I didn’t pay attention to the numbering. This looks nice for what it is. I’m not really into tinted moisturizers, but if I was I’d try it.

Ooooh your house extension's got cladding!!! Well that's exciting. I love the shirt and necklace by the way. This stuff doesn't look too bad, I love Neutrogena skin care so I hope we get this tinted moisturiser stuff - as a rule we don't get their makeup products over here in Oz, just the skin care and shampoo/conditioner stuff.

I just went onto the Neutrogena website to see what the 3 shades looked like. I'm honestly appalled! I thought they were making progress with regard to their shade ranges. I even recommended their healthy radiant foundation to several people. I MIGHT be able to use the deepest shade in this line, and that's a big might (I've got a serious garden tan going on 👩🏽‍🌾). Even for a tinted moisturizer, they can do better. This range is telling me that they simply don't want to. So disappointing...😔

@@Asachara don’t think anyone here is “butthurt” by Neutrogena‘s decision to have such a shoddy shade range. It’s 2021, brands are waking up & creating shades from the get go that work for people of ALL skin tones as they should & as we should expect them to, Neutrogena just clearly hasn’t gotten there. People expressing the fact that they will no longer or still not be purchasing from Neutrogena is how Neutrogena is going to get the message that they need to do better.

@@Asachara I am not "butthurt", just voicing my opinion about the topic in the video. Shelly did a wonderful and thorough review, as usual. And as a loyal subscriber, I am commenting my thoughts. Which is what the comments section is for. It goes without saying that I won't buy this product. But if no one gives companies feedback, how will they change? Yes, they may see that sales are down, but how do they know what to attribute that to? If they see that there are people that historically like and buy their products, and would buy their products if available, I think that's valuable. It's the same as talking about the formula, lasting ability, price point etc. The shade range in a complexion product is one of the most important aspects. You are obviously entitled to your own opinion about the product, but it's not appropriate (or nice) to police others opinions.

It looks so pretty on you girl. Have you tried the new Artist Couture multi use beauty powder? Omg Shell it's So gorgeous!! It's not like a powder at all I mean it sets like one all day wear but no powder look stunning satin finish and just looks like your skin.😍😁 I used it in my last video if you're curious. Hehe no need to feel bad :) Like Julie said - any interaction or engagement on a video is a positive in terms of the RU-vid algorithm, so every click (whether it's like or dislike) and every comment helps! And I've found that a lot of people do use "dislike" when they dislike something about the product rather than something about the video, like Gina said. It's really a fairly useless thing to measure since viewers can't provide any context to their opinion (so creators can't act on any information to improve, if there's something to improve on). I'm just glad for the engagement boost :)

Thanks, Christine! I'll get an update into an upcoming video! In the meantime, this is probably the weirdest weight loss approach I've taken so far 😂 It started by accident. The first month of the pandemic I went off the rails with anxiety and just bought all of the childhood comfort food I hadn't eaten in years (pop tarts, cookie crisp cereal, etc) and gained 15 pounds, which put me at my heaviest ever. Then to calm myself down I started studying sourdough baking in earnest (took an online class and everything). So I was making a LOT of 3-day long-fermented sourdough. I would have scrambled eggs on sourdough for breakfast, avocado mash on sourdough for lunch, marinara and mozzarella on sourdough for dinner... basically, my meals revolved around sourdough and a side of veggies (air fried broccoli or green beans most of the time). Next thing I knew, I lost those 15 pounds by accident. So I kept doing that for a few months and was losing slowly but surely. Then I plateaued for a few months, so I went back to what I do every couple of years to kick-start things... Nutrisystem. I can tolerate it for 3 months or so but then the vegetarian plan gets dreadfully boring and repetitive and I can't take it any more. But I always lose weight on it (even if I'd call it convenience-junk-food... calorie controlled but I'm sure not super healthy). So that broke my plateau, and got me to where I am now (which has been fluctuating the same 5 pounds on and off for a few months... though I haven't been "trying" to lose weight lately..... just aiming for maintenance for the moment). I've lost 35 pounds. I'd love to lose 20 more (I long ago accepted that I'll never NOT be overweight, so I just aim to keep my blood pressure in check and keep myself feeling good and my doctor happy with my blood work). But I'd be equally happy to at least maintain where I'm at long-term.

So, I have the Neutrogena Healthy Skin Perfector something and other. It should be great for a little evenness, but... I haven't had 100% success. I am still trying to figure out what all I do when it works, and what's going on when it doesn't. And as far as under my eyes, yuck... primer helped BUT then why am I paying for the moisturizer to have retinol? I hope I can figure it all out now that it's 105 degrees outside. Meesh!

First of all, you look so pretty with your hair up. I love your top and the necklace is stunning. As for the product, I'm still not sure how I feel about all these tinted moisturizers all the brands are coming out with. I'm a "full face of makeup", or no makeup look using just concealer. Or, I mix a foundation with my moisturizer. It did look really nice on you, but I don't know if I'd spend $15 for that little coverage. I guess I need to get with the trend!

@@goow Shelly, I am really frustrated trying to find a foundation for my mature skin. I thought the Nars Soft Matte would work for me.. but after about two hours, it starts to dry out my skin terribly. The CYO Lifeproof is just a tad bit too dewy, needing more powder than I'm comfortable with. Also, the color 101 is to dark for me. Any suggestion would be so helpful. PS We will have guests for most of June, so I will send you the CYO foundations when I get a free moment, but it may be a few weeks!🥰

I don't think this took anything away from beautiful you,and yet at best " it moisturizes" so yea, I get the A for moisture & hydration and doing what it says it will do...but I honestly don't see you grabbing 4 this one on a regular basis. My interest here,4 this product would be as an intro to makeup for non makeup lovers..maybe like for our young teen intros or the other end of the spectrum for our more mature, I dont wear makeup want something peeps Love 💋❤ u ❤elanie

Any engagement is good for the RU-vid algorithm =D and some people will thumbs down for dislike of the product. It's really a fairly useless metric because viewers can't express why they're downvoting, and creators have no information to go on for improvement. But any clicks are good for the algorithm so I'm happy!

Is it normal for a 'light' shade to show up quite dark on the swatch, but appear lighter after blending it out? If store testers were usable (as pre-Covid) that first impression of the shade would put me off. I usually have a light tan for 1 month out of 12 and am ghost-pale the rest of the time, lol.

Sometimes swatches do that mainly because it's thicker in a swatch than what you'd have on your face fully applied. I do them that way in the hopes that people might know their shade in one of the other foundations, and from looking at the opaque colors can tell if the new foundation is lighter, darker, cooler, warmer, etc than the one they already know their shade in. :)

I would call this moisturizing. My skin dehydrates very easily throughout the day so anything that can keep up with my dehydration is probably more hydrating than an "average" dry person would need.

This is not a foundation. It's a tinted moisturizer. If folks want a bigger shade range, get a foundation.

It's not unheard of for tinted moisturizers to have an inclusive shade range. ColourPop's Pretty Fresh tinted moisturizer comes in 24 shades, for example.

This product is a huge pass for me simply for the fact that they are not inclusive and only have 3 shades available. Makes zero sense to put something out like this when brands are being more and more inclusive of all skin tones. Hard pass.

Its just a tint..... Tints are rather forgiving... This was a pass for me bc of the undertone!!! So orange and smells like sunscreen!😝😝😝 Gross!!!

🤔hi, I'm just curious about what u didn't like. The reason I ask is because I work in the beauty industry and I find all points of view interesting not just the complimentary responses. I myself found that, Shelly, she just looked like Shelly, but more hydrated with an out the door look. I don't think it added anything wonderful, yet it certainly didn't take anything away from her lovely skin..so for me it's simply a moisturizer... so was it that it simply didn't add anything to her loveliness or you felt it took something away from her loveliness.. Lmk thanks, that way when I'm serving guests I can be well rounded on feedback for questions my clients may have. ❤elanie...yup thats me melanie 😍

@@808statelady I am in the beauty industry too. 3:24 I don't like how it sits on her skin, especially on her nose and forehead. About coverage I know you cannot expect many things from a tinted moisturizer but still I was expecting a little bit more ..

I might give this one a try. I like how the Purito CC feels on my skin, but the tone of 21 is definitely not for neutral to pink under tones like me and sometimes I’m not looking to go more or less full face with blending in my Age Perfect Radiant Serum foundation to get a better match. Since I’m still not going out much where I want to be dolled up (and definitely hiding since our temps are in the high 90s until about Thursday), I don’t really want full foundation. This might be the ticket and I need to spend my Extra Bucks before they expire.
