What a reversal from early season kenji refusing to touch green

Reminds me of one of my favourite drafts I had this season where I had double Neva and Grave Pact in my deck. Won one of my games by playing Neva getting back Neva over and over again until my opponent had to sac all their creatures. Seomtimes those grindy games can be real satisfying.

I'd be interested to hear what other people think, but I suspect that the reason Kenji had success with this and yesterday's multi-colored decks is because they have so much land-fetch/mana fixing in them. The #1 complaint I see in this format is that even in 2-color 17-land decks, people getting mana screwed (so much so that people continue to suggest the hand-smoother algorithm has been changed). Certainly my experience has been that I need to mulligan half the time and often I still get stuck at 3 lands or with only 1 color. But a 3-4 color deck is resilient to this specific issue (in addition to having stronger-than-average card quality), so it performs more consistently.

I think agree with old Kenji (10:48), not new Kenji (10:51). Games 1(18:06), 2(20:10), 5(51:30), 6(54:44), 7(55:45) all showed how weak Neva is/was.

41:41 .. the correct way for affinity to play would have been playing the Feral Encounter first... You don't need to have the punching creature on board when you play it but can try to get a creature from it and punch with that.. It's a unique type of card. Still they would have needed to play the FE and two creatures .. oh and the token fairy cannot block on ground anyway - so 3 creatures.. so maybe they did not have any change even with that.
