I'm not even subbed to the other one. I mean it's got great stuff don't get me wrong. The whole renting a raccoon effort, absolutely incredible. But this channel is where the real action is.
cows or horses would even do a better job, cows eat a lot of the big rougher grass that goats and sheep don't. Downside is the sloppy shit pies they leave everywhere.
You need 3 goats and sheep to form a herm of them, and you need to pen them into a specific area, to force them to eat all the grass in that area before moving on.
As a rangeland agrologist, I can approve, more than likely they are grazing the areas they've already grazed because it's more palatable and they don't have to crawl through the tall grass
@@urbanaerials5614 He's still doing wacky projects ? He's just not making a polished video about them. He's documenting the process of many different projects at the same time instead.
don't wanna ruin your fun... but definitely fence them into an area you want to clear the grass from so they graze it. then move it in like a few days once they finish that area. Kinda wild you're letting them go anywhere lol
I actually love the edit of taking the heavy tint off the van windows as you cross the screen at 8:54 to subtly hide that you’re not in the car until you’re on screen.
@@Junitunes yeah like for the 20 million subscriber award they gave to marvel or something people on youtube kept asking where their 20m award is. basically if you give something to someone you have to give it to everyone.
With only 2 animals and that much area with that much dense grass. It will take them months to see any real impact on it. If you want faster results, you'll need far more goats and sheep than 2. But since you have 2, for better results, pen them in to a smaller area of the grass. That will lead to them grazing heavily in that section, and thus you'll see results quicker.
I watched the first goat video yesterday and didn't realize that it's a week old now. I thought that he just put the goat video out so seeing this one immediately after is quite comedic.
Speak to your local college ecology department about having students come do ecology projects on your property. Research useful local plants like fruiting trees and bushes, local flowers that attract bees, dig swales etc
Dude, you have to make the sheep and goat eat your lawn not just let them do it because they will just eat what they like lol. Grab some things that are really heavy you can barely move, get some rope and tie them to it, and periodically check on them and move them around the yard. "Its heavy and I can barely move it" you have a forklift to move the object, and a Kevin to grab the rope and walk them along side you.
Get more, make a movable pen with chain link fence panels. Make sure there is fresh water...also thats not a meat goat. We make soap out of the milk because you can't sell unpasteurized milk in Canada
I use litime batteries before you got this plug . They power my entire camper van . Really really good batteries !! Even when you screw up and pop your solar fuse and don’t charge them for days on accident .. they pop alive after the protection , very good smart bms
I had a pet goat in highschool for the exact same reason. He wasn't able to eat all the full sized plants but after winter he was completely able to keep up with the new plants.
Goats 🐐 are in the functional group of herbivores called “Browsers” or “Selectors”, their narrow muzzle allows them to be “picky” eaters that as a result are able to eat only the plants with highest nutritional value, which in your lawn is likely to be small herbs, young leaves on trees and even bark ☘️🌱 What you need is a “Grazer”, large, animals with wide muzzles that enables them to consume large quantities of food, but doesn’t allow them to distinguish between herbs and grass. Due to their size they need more food, and due to their more advanced gastrointestinal system can process lower quality food. Sheep are more grazing animals than goats, but for better results you may consider cattle or horses! 🐄 🐴
Last video I noticed Katamari music, that was an amazing throwback. To go to this one and hear music from Fable 1, oh my gosh. That was pretty much my first big game
My dad used to work for health and safety in the UK which is based on top of a hill that used to be a ww2 radar station, apparently there's a few unexploded mines still there and the sheep that roam the area occasionally set them off.
That makes me think of the 30 Rock character who was the head of NBC's censorship and standards; just aggressively cursing everyone out with every sentence because no one has the power to stop him. (30 Rock clip, character appears at about 2m46s: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XTXU-BiHaDk.htmlsi=V3PDG1DJF3z464BJ&t=166)
"I've only ever had dogs and cats. I know nothing about goats and sheep. I bought some and expected them to do things that I had absolutely no good reason to expect of them. Obviously it's the animal's fault! Fuckin goat!" -William Osmond
