I totally agree with this. I made a planner a year ago on a niche topic and didn't sell a single copy until a year later when someone bought a hardback copy of it. I'm so glad I left it up and who knows it might creep up the search rankings and start to make more sales over time.

uh oh. i accidentally published a book under the wrong author name and it wouldn't let me edit it. so i unpublished and republished under the right now....i hope that doesn't go against their guidelines since they are SUPER Strict.

Hi there I have searched and found out a lot of common words are trademarked under 016. For example, gratitude is trademarked. I have searched this word and found out it is trademarked. A second example would be Logbook, which is also trademarked. I am confused, could you please help me out and explain how we can use those words and I want to ask if a phrase is already trademarked, can we add more words and would it be ok for example, if intermittent fasting is trademarked, then making an intermittent fasting log book would also be trademarked. ugh, I am so confused. I also heard the word "fashion" is trademarked.

Great question! First off, don't get hung up on this. It's far too frustrating, and you're going to rip all your hair out if you keep looking at it this way. Long story short, nearly EVERY word is already trademarked. BUT, the majority of these words are still okay for you to use in KDP book titles. For example, looking up "gratitude" in the trademark database (tmsearch.uspto.gov/) shows us that, yes, it is trademarked. But we need to look at goods and services to see what class it's registered under. Here's what I see for it: "IC 033. US 047 049. G & S: Whiskey spirits." So no alcohol. Got it. As long as a term isn't registered under class IC 016, you're good to go! Hopefully that's not too confusing. Now I feel like I should create a video about this, so if you want more in-depth info, stick around, and you'll probably see a video on this topic pop up soon. :)

Can you republish a book you've previously published? I published a low content book but feel the title is off and want to republish because I'm unable to edit it.

You can't it will be a little duplicate content and Amazon kdp can suspend or terminate your account for it

If there's some sort of error in your title, try contacting KDP support to see if they can change it for you (sometimes they can). If not, I'd recommend just unpublishing your old book and publishing a new one with your desired update! It would likely be seen as too identical/spammy if you republished the same exact book with a slight title change, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you've already taken down your old book. Hope that helps!
