I have seen and met David several times and he is the nicest, most humble person. This video was taped at "The Barn", where, every year, he and his wife, Lori, host a 2 day concert called the Labor Day Barn Bash, where they have good food, a gift shop (several items made by David and other family members), and, of course, 2 great concerts. There's no alcohol and, to my knowledge, no smoking, which was for me, a wonderful change from concerts i've been to done by other performers. Incidentally, the lady playing the trumpet is his sister, Kari, two of the singers to his left are his 2 daughters, and one of the musician is his wife's cousin.

David earned a music and vocal performance degree from Baylor University. This performance was videoed in his barn at his farm in Culleoka, Tennessee, where he has lived for over 20 years. Labor Day Barn Bash is a blast. I have been blessed to attend the last three. Tickets for this event go on sale February 14 at noon CST. Thank you for reacting to Mr. Phelps! God bless you both.

That Barn is the greatest place on Earth to attend, there's nothing like it. We've been going to the Labor Day Barn Bash every year since 2012, and thankfully this was the last concert in it before air conditioning, it gets very hot in the Barn. Seeing David live is an outer body experience. David is a wonderful man and is a great mentor and friend to our son.

His older sister Karrie plays that horn and it was a hot day and everyone was sweating big time, but it was a great concert! Since then David has put AC in the barn where he does these concerts.

Dc talk was the best i loved listening to them when i was a little kid. I still listen to them to this day and I’m 39 years old. Dc talk-red letters chokes me up every time i listen to it.

Yes! I remember Carmen, and still have a CD of his! (And yes, I still have a few cassette tapes of singers not available any more). I saw a performance of this album in person. David came to North Carolina right after Hurricane Mathew devastated the east coast. The church where the team performed was holding a Red Cross fund raiser. I recommend 'Rain' from that performance also! I'm grateful for your sharing and recognizing David's, and his team's, God given talents!! 👍👍👏👏👏👏

David, also has a concert at The Barn on his property in April during one of the local festivals and also a Christmas concert. The man in the back from David's left shoulder with the white derby hat on is Todd Suttles, whom David sang with when he toured with the Gaither Vocal Band. Great bass singer.

Loving your reaction to this❤. Just to let you know, David will be playing Adam in New York Feb. 18th at the Lincoln Center 1 night only. A Broadway-type christian musical called Children of Eden. The music was written by the man who did the Broadway play "Wicked" that was so popular, Stephen Swartz. So excited for these opportunities for David.

You are so right, David is definitely a showman but not a show off, believes every word he sings and definitely knows how to communicate a song. So glad you have hopped on to the David Phelps wagon, keep them coming. For Christmas I recommend a more recent version of oh Holy night at the holiday celebration. Completely different from the first, I think you will love it😊

you guys are great.....I have been a fan of David's since he was with the Gaither Vocal Band....Such a Man of God!....if you want to react to a song he wrote a long time ago, and ad I hear it...kept it til he could find the right person to sing it, which was his daughter Maggie Beth...its called He's still My Child, from the perspective of Mary as a mother about her son Jesus.....let me tell ya David's daughter is just like her papa, absolutely beautiful song, and bring the tissues on this one
