Rebecca, when you do things like choose the most “unsafe” filling for ur burrito or get the larger size option, or the full cream milk and not low fat, it is literally SO empowering to watch. Everyday i struggle with those tiny little decisions, and even though I know the difference is so minor, it still gets to me. So thank you, for empowering me and making me feel like it’s possible to actually ignore my disordered thoughts and to choose what I actually WANT to eat. YOU ARE MY INSPIRATION.

As much as I agree with everyone here saying how amazing Tyler's support is, I want to stress how it is Rebecca's openness and acceptance of her vulnerability to even make this possible. I think it's one thing to challenge yourself and face your anxiety and an entirely other thing to film it and document it. That is so inspirational. This is SO wonderful! So many things I’ve seen in this video remind me of my former self when I had an ED, and you are FAR braver than I ever was with fear foods. Now I am healthy, but I don’t let my mind control what I do and do not allow myself to eat. If someone as stubborn and as far gone as myself can recover, I know you and any other viewer can as well! You are a wonderful human being and I’m so thankful you’ve decided to share your journey. Keep up the good fight, and GREAT job on your challenges! :)

You can try it right now, and if it doesnt work you know what you can do then? try again, you deserve to give yourself the opportunity to live life the why you want to, and nobody can ever steal you the chance of trying it at least once more, and once more again, lots of love from Colombia ♥
@maisie4841
@maisie4841 5 лет назад
There is literally never going to be a "right time" to start recovering, you will never feel good about choosing to do it but it is something which 100% needs to happen. You want to recover at some point and need to so why not do it as soon as you can and get to live more of your life free. Life with anorexia is not living, it is slowly dying, missing out on memories you will never get back, wasting your only life. The quicker you recover, the more life you gift yourself and a life lived freely is honestly the best present i think anyone could ever receive. You owe it to yourself. You do not want to be 80 and looking back on your life regretting those things you didn't do, regretting not choosing to recover. When you are 80 you will not remember that time you deprived yourself of happiness by not going out to eat or saying no to that biscuit and be happy, you will regret wasting time you could of spent making once in a lifetime memories on worrying about a fucking man made unit of energy. but if you choose recovery now i promise you you will never regret it. Dive headfirst. It will feel so wrong but the more wrong it feels, i can assure you, the more good you are doing.
@hanna445
@hanna445 5 лет назад
The right time to recover is now. You deserve living and being happy so much! I know it's hard but you can do it. Don't let youself be beaten down by setbacks. Try until it works. Much strength and love to you.
@laurarobertson2825
@laurarobertson2825 5 лет назад
Hi. I understand what you feel. I’ve had anorexia and extremely low weight for 11 years. I am slowly gaining some weight back without really deciding to consciously but my body is sort of making me give into hunger. I can’t tell you how much it’s a mixture of fear and joy. I never felt that I would be ready to recover and I still not sure. I don’t feel physically better because I have a lot of physical problems due to long term malnutrition so my body will take a while to recover. But please try and take each day as it comes. If you can’t challenge fear foods at the moment try eating more of your safe foods. Tell a family member or friend to keep you accountable and set times for meals and snacks. But most importantly take care.
@SP-kk5nj
@SP-kk5nj 4 года назад
MartyALWAYS I’m late to this thread but these challenges are for people who are fully recovered, and doing ‘full recovery’ rather than quasi recovery. They’re way too challenging and unrealistic for someone just at the start of that process. If you’ve been in treatment before then you know what you need to do. Try starting there.

So thank you thank you thank you!!! Your such a great and creative person!! That's wonderful!! And I really like your videos with your community! How you involve your followers!! About your question: one year ago I had this never have I ever thing with sushi and then I tried it and since that moment I just love it. And also same story with burritos. I had to eat my first one in treatment and it was awful, but a few months later I decided on my own to try it again and since then one of my favorite meals is burrito with guacamole, spicy tomato salsa, cheddar cheese and something like soured cream. I can definitely recommend this to you! Greats from Germany, Lea

Tyler is so great! you are so lucky to have such a strong support system in him! he is so encouraging and motivating! I wish I had that but no offence to my bf but he is not really supportive, he doesn't know how to deal with it and really struggles to understand the mental side of it and what I'm going through, but I do understand that it is impossible for someone to truely understand it unless you go through it yourself! but sadly i feel like he doesn't even want to try to :/ I feel like he is angry at me for getting myself in this deep in to it again and blames me like yea ofcourse its no ones fault but my own but he doesn't understand how quickly it can just grab you and take complete control over you, its such a slippery slope and so easy to get caught up in again :( I try to explain it and talk to him about it but he just doesn't understand and I feel like he is just so closed off to even trying to understand it! :/ its like he thinks its something you can magically snap yourself out of which sadly is so not true :/ anyway sorry for the slight rant! you're just so lucky to have that support and i am so happy you do! but ofcourse you are doing most of it on your own and are so so strong and doing absolutely amazing by yourself! keep up the fantastic work, I love to see you challenging your fears and going from strength to strength! so inspiring! 😊👏🙌🙏💕

Your hair looks stunning-lol and this was a wonderful challenge! I may have to try this myself too since I did bar a lot of foods from my diet about four to five years ago when I was in high school. Now I’ll be compensating for lost times every now and then! P.S. Tyler needs a TED talk-he’s incredible!

This is amazing! I struggle with disordered thinking (not around food but just as hard!) and you motivate me to step out of my comfort zone and be a healthier person! (:
