On this episode of “Neve Have I Ever…” today the food came to me…and all in ONE bag! We’re doing something different and trying an M.R.E. !! A “Meal, Ready-To-Eat” consists of a main dish, sides, dessert, utensils, gum, and more! I was so excited to try this and PARTS of it did not disappoint! Enjoy!

Okay, hear me out on a Never Have I Ever idea… You have your friends bring you different cuisines or iconic dishes you’ve never had, and then blind taste them, so you can’t know what’s in them. For example: say you’ve never had pad Thai before, one of your friends brings it, you blindfold yourself, taste and react to it. You can try to guess what it is too if you want!

If you wanna skip the Fun Facts start at @7:28 Extra Fun Facts : I looked up the date on my M.R.E. - it was packed September 14, 2020 - In old ration packs they used to give them cigarettes - The packages used to be brown but were changed to tan - When sold to the government each M.R.E cost $7.25

My sister was in the Navy and that jalapeño cheese spread was BIG currency 🤣 all the extras are for trading which is why you probably didn’t find many reviews on them. A lot of them will save them up to swap for preferred entrees.

Girl we used to make all sorts of wonky things out of them. The hot chocolate packet was the most desired. Because we would make a brownie out of it in the field! We did all kinds of stuff like that lol. And we are eating literally sitting in the dirt and sand with no shower for days so we didn’t care if a little dirt got on the packets. We are one with the dirt LMAO

I remember first trying these with my Dad who was a Vietnam Vet, He said the ones we had these days were wayyy different than the ones back then but tasted a million times better lol..I really liked the Alfredo it was one of my favorites.Thank you for sharing tho I love ur reactions lol 😂❤*air horn gang!*

Hands down my favorite food review you’ve EVER done. I am DYING😂😂😂 I grew up eating MREs for fun🥴 when dad brought them home, my brother and I would fight over the dried apples and drink mixes. They are flavors embedded in my memory and this just was so entertaining. Thank you!!

My husband got out of the Army almost 2 years ago now, he actually likes the maple sausage meal, he’d dig for that one. He brought one home one time from the field. It looks nasty but he insisted I try it. The muffin top thing that comes with it is amazing though. It’s Basically sugar covered cake, can’t go wrong lol

The best MRE was Chili Mac. Hands down it was the best in my opinion. There were others that were pretty good and had good stuff inside like M&M's, cheese, and stuff. They were like currency at times. The shakes we used crackers or bread and peanut butter to make brownies and stuff. Comparatively speaking you could be a near chef based on what you got. The sleeve is to hold the heating bag. Those heaters we used in plastic water bottles with Tabasco or other hot sauce to make like makeshift tear gas bombs.

@@ChristinesSnaps Always happy to help when I saw this video I was like, "Which one is she eating? Please don't be Veggie omlette." A small sigh of relief came over me when it wasn't that one, but the one you had is definately under the newer selection they have at least from my time in service. Love the videos though you make my wife's day better every time. Although I haven't seen many the ones I have seen are great. Keep up the good work and making light to those that need it.

My husband brings me back the cookies and such or whatever he doesn’t eat. I had a whole cabinet full of mres. He just rips those open like crazy and I’m like how. You were opening it right by peeling it apart. Don’t eat the gum it’ll cause diarrhea lol 😂

We live in a 100 year old building converted into 2 apartments, and down in the scariest basement you could think of, up in the rafters were a ton of boxes with MREs from ww2. So moldy and disgusting, but you could tell what they were. And these packages said there were cigarettes in them, but the word was crossed out in sharpie. Must have been right after they stopped sending cigs in them but used the same packaging and just crossed out the word😂

The chili and cornbread was my favorite!! So good!! I’ve had that one you ate in the video and it was one of my favorites as well! When I was in the Air Force back in 2016 sometimes they would have candy in them like sour skittles! Pretty awesome!

My grandparents owned an army surplus store when I was young. I'd go with them to a base close to us, and they'd buy MREs at auction. Chicken and Rice was my favorite!! They used to come with tiny Tabasco bottles.

It’s been over 20 years since I’ve had an MRE. Dad served in the Coast Guard and we had some in our pantry. My sister and I would eat one or two every summer break 😂

Okay so my husband is a disabled airborne army veteran who did 2 tours over seas and he said the chicken loaf actually isn't that bad, as he was cracking up with a shit eating grin😂, and his favorite is frankfurter with beans is his favorite. Also, ham slice is pretty good😂😂😂😂 I can not with this man! Thank you for the laugh. Also, he said yes, they cause constipation😂😂😂😂

As a Marine, I find all of this, hilarious. Also, the vomlette is... horrific. I hate the pork ribs and loved the lemon poppy seed cake. Haha. They have recipes to mix things together and make it amazing. And... the gum is a laxative and you will need it. 🤣🤣

You said the MRE was made in Evansville, IN. I drive by that MRE factory every day…it’s called AmeriQual. They make MREs and other shelf stable foods like baby food!

Of course they discontinued the omelet one AFTER I got out. I had the displeasure of getting that one and yes it's just as gross as it sounds. And omg the smell when you opened was the worst. Needless to say I took one bite and it was a nope for me. I rather stave that day lol

There was a hurricane in my town last year so we were given MREs. I'm a vegan and I was surprised that they had vegan ones for us. Mine were rice and tvp, lentil stew, and black eyed peas with tomato sauce (this one was good!), sides were peanut butter and jelly packs. I actually thought they were ok. The (nonvegan) people who got meat ones didn't like those very much. So if you ever have the choice take the vegan ones! Canned meat is ick.
