I would like to watch more of your videos but don’t want to spend 34 minutes! Please consider making them shorter and more concise…getting to the point more quickly. I think you would have a lot more viewers!!! No offence- I love juicing and nutrition and I know you have a lot of valuable information but the modern busy person does not have all that time!
I have been following him for years. His vids have actually gotten shorter, if you can believe that! I think it would help if he spent time editing out what isn’t absolutely critical to his point. But I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting on that. I don’t know, maybe wash dishes or cook while you listen and watch. 🤣
The modern person isn't busy, just more distracted with a shorter attention span. Fortunately, technology compensates by allowing you to select the video playback speed. You can also press the arrow keys to skip forward by several seconds.
John thank you so much for the depth of your videos..In this day and age most people want the 5 second review..For those of us wanting to learn this information is priceless
After watching many of your videos, I finally settled on the Nama J2 juicer. And I have to say it is AMAZING!! It works perfectly for our family, and my wife couldn't be happier! Thank you for your awesome information!
well stated mike, we got one a little over a year ago and couldn't be more pleased with its quietness and juicing ability. it was a very wise investment. *Happy Sabbath!!!*
You might want to start endorsing the Vitamix countertop composter. I had to stop using my outdoor compost bin due to attracting raccoons and bought the Vitamix. (I also use their blender). The composter works great for me. I use it almost daily. I’m a juicer so have lots of peels and pulp.
So glad I come across you. You are so informative. I would rather listen to someone who has had years of experience. I'm new to juicing. So more information is ace. Don't mind how long you talk about this. Thank you.
Where I am from, everybody eats mango skin. We just bite into the mangoes. Additionally, if I peel the mango for presentation purposes, I juice the skins. I just place it in the blender, add ginger add a sweetener (optional) and you have a refreshing drink.
Some people can be sensitive to the skin due to it having some chemical similar to poison ivy, or whatever, in small amounts. Which can lead to tingling, irritation, or allergic reaction in some folks. I've never had any problem with the skins, personally, though they can sometimes be slightly bitter, especially when unripe {?}...
Hey John, Just ordered the J2 using your discount code. Purchased the omega 843 two years ago...its a great juicer but this J2 looks like a game changer for those of us doing batch juicing. Thanks for your videos!
This is extremely wrong and comes from the ignorance that fructose is the same as other sugars, which it isn’t. Fructose doesn’t start insulin production. It’s also the best form of energy for us humans. Also, we don’t work on nutrition, we work on energy. Vegetables are much lower energy than fruits. Fruits are better to detox (by far), vegetables are better to build.
Fructose goes largely *unused* by the body and simply converts into circulating fat in the liver, and contributes to central adiposity [beer belly]. **Glucose** is the sugar molecule that the body actually knows how to **use** for **nearly everything.** Get a clue, and read Richard Johnson's "The Sugar Fix," among others...
See also McDougall's "The Starch Solution." [Starch simply being highly packaged glucose, which, again, the body knows how to breakdown, and **use** for **nearly everything.** ]
@@MGmirkin I actually do this for a living. I'm a licensed naturopath specialized in regeneration of tissue and iridology. The ignorance you're spouting is what most people do, just repeat what they heard from other people who have no clue how the body works. Again, fructose is the best form of energy for us humans, precisely because it's simpler than glucose. Glucose is the simplest form the body can decompose through digestion, so fructose being an even simpler form, it doesn't need extra decomposing, it's immediately absorbed without much energy spent from digestion, which means the energy balance gain is highly positive. Fructose also does not need insulin to be transported to the blood, which removes all insulin spikes for the equation. I actually have 100% degree of success with people with diabetes, where they reverse it very quickly with just fruit. Now the idiotic liver conversation. Fructose does not cause fatty liver or fat around the liver, that complete nonsense comes from the fact that some studies were made with fructose, using lab made fructose, which is completely different from natural fructose from fruit. Actually nothing from the lab substitutes the substance it imitates from nature, not vitamins, not minerals, nothing. Artificial fructose is not really fructose and is treated by the body as a complex sugar, the ones that actually damage us. In fact, i have treated a couple of fatty liver cases, with just fruit and specially fruit juices. Look at humans that only eat only fruit (fruitarians/frugivores) and see if they have any fat belly. They are all in shape, slim and very defined. So, i would say to stop spreading idiocy, about things you know nothing about, and starting thinking more for yourself.

In my opinion there are some rules that should be applied when making juices. 1. Do not put fruit seeds into the machine, because a seed is meant to be a plant, and if you destroy it nature will not encourage you to destroy it, you will get negative side effects. Therefore, cucumbers are not suitable for eating. Exceptions are nuts and corn that have an easily separable shell, which is the body of the fruit because it contains the fruit, then if you return the body of the fruit as fertilizer to its root then it is absorbed by the root and becomes a fruit again. 2. Do not eat spicy food, if you apply spicy food to your skin it will hurt, because spicy food is pain, not taste. It is not suitable for us to eat and there are all kinds of creatures in the intestines that spicy simply kills them and it is harmful to digestion. 4. Sour is not suitable for our nature to eat, if you let the baby taste a lemon he will be disgusted by it. Therefore, in my opinion, harif and lemon are fruits that are suitable for the earth, it is also alive and needs food to produce better quality fruits. So lemon is sprinkled on stones that are placed above the root of the tree and then when it rains the dissolved minerals that were dissolved because of the lemon, these minerals can seep into the root and nourish the soil and the tree.
Soluble Fiber Percentage in fruits and Veggies PDF: John - I cannot find this PDF either on your site and the link in this video doesn't work. Where can i get the chart?
You rock brother! I love your content. I would ask, is there a juice that replaces taking collagen? I'm almost reaching my silver and I have found collagen great for bringing back my resilience to destruction. Getting cut or punctured.
I love you just the way you are. Listening while preparing my salad. Thank you 😊. I like the jicama idea. Growing some jicama next year's garden in zone 7. ✨️ 💚🌿🌱🍓🌶🍋🥕🥭🍍🍐🍐💚
The goal is to up our level of health. Then since you said the Sana 727 makes a superior juice it makes sense to use the Sana juicer. Unless convenience comes before health.
On one level you are totally correct. The Sana 727 DOES make a more nutritious juice than the Nama J2 for sure. That being said, the screen gets filled with pulp after 1 quart of juice on many recipes and the 727 wont juice fruit as well. On the plus site, the Sana 727 is easier to clean. But I prefer the convivence and ease of use of the Nama J2 when I bulk juice.
I learned from you a long time ago that the way to make a great juices is to use a 80/20 or maybe a 75/25 vegetables to fruit ratio. Otherwise it’s just too much sugar and too sweet. Plus more greens equals more and faster healing to our bodies. The juice is still delicious even with much more green. And thank you very much for all the hard work you put into making your videos…💜
Yeah.. I bought the omega 15 years ago based on John's recommendation... it is still going strong so no way I am spending $550 on a new juicer (crazy prices!!) - I spent $300 on the Omega back in the day and THAT was a lot of money... $550 - must have GOLD in it!
Don't do it! Daikon contains allyl isothiocyanate, which is a derivative of glucosinolate, the component that gives horse radish it's spicy flavor. It is released when the root is grated or juiced. It's spicy and pungent, and there's really no juice recipe that will taste better with daikon unless you have very unique preferences...
Love your videos! Thank you… I was told that Cantalope rind should not be juiced unless you scrub it and wash it with soap as it can hold salmonella. What are your thoughts on this?
Ignore the haters in the comments I am a long time viewer and a customer and I bought the omega vsj right before the pandemic from your website... I also own the bio chef vacuum because of your very in depth informative videos. You are appreciated..and the information and long videos you provide are life saving.
You definetly are the next juice man leaving a legacey. Ur wisdom is pricless i wish you would write a hard cover book like the juice man did with ur tips and tricks
Thank you so much for this video packed with great info! I didn’t even know my Nama came with a different strainer for fruits! Learned a lot, thank you!
Great video, I wasn’t aware of the different screens! That’s my problem with the Omega Nc800. Thank you for for the chart! I will definitely print that out and use it.
Yeah... East Coast... Jicama are either rotten in the store or $3 for a tiny one... sadly not able to buy a case of Jicama for $5 like you can in LA so no juicing it here.
All sounds good, however, there are many enzymes that are not fully developed when you use fruits & veggies before they are ripe. The babylonian system knows this, and this is why you now get GREEN pineapple, etc., b/c they don't want us healthy/well. Not only does unripe fruit/veggies have lower levels of enzymes & vitamins, etc.; but they also do not have the full flavor that Father God created them to have. Personally, I prefer full flavor over unripened fruit/veg juices.
I also save the pulp from juicing veggies and use it in my homemade soups. The pulp has so much fiber both in veggies and in fruit. I do not like wasting any food that can be reused in other ways. I dehydrate some and grind up into powder also.
Oh no! I love pineapple and I just bought 2 of them. I guess I’ll have to mix other things with them. Ooops I see this was a year old. Oh well, I’m late to the party.
Why don't you go straight to the point by demonstrating. You waste a lot of time. One is just fed up with all the narratives. It can be very frustrating listening to the theory. Thank you.
Hi Michelle. I do not have a payment plan, but the Nama J2 that I recommend in this video does. You may be able to buy interest-free depending on which option you select. To see the payment details order at www.bit.ly/j2juicer Use coupon code HALFFRUIT for a $55 savings and select the "Pay with AFFIRM" option to get your payment plan.
I encourage you to purchase fruit without waxes. Next best would be to wash it off or remove it. However edible waxes "should be edible" and juicing them is not a problem. You will get LESS edible wax if you juice an apple vs eating it whole.
I am DYING to find a juicer that removes nearly all juice and leaves only pulp behind that I would actually eat after washing with water gently. I would THROW THE JUICE AWAY as I do not like liquid calories. I just want the skin and fiber nutrition from the fruits. WHAT juicer can I buy for this??? I tried many times to find something and wasted so much money
I would use a dynapro vacuum blender and alexas nut milk bag that will get all the juice out and only leave pulp. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CSyS8QJfMNs.html You can also use the Pure Juicer ($2500)that makes saw dust dry pulp. Just give the juice to someone who appreciates it! They will love you. I may make a video on the future regarding this topic "reverse juicing"
So, you just want to throw away all the vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients you get in the juice, and only eat the gross dry stringy bits? Sounds like a fecking terrible plan. Also, if you don't like "calories" [fat/sugar, basically], just buy things that aren't sweet. Then you won't be getting basically any "calories" [sugar] in your juice. Not all "juice" is "high-calorie." If there's basically no **sugar** in it, there's basically no **calories** in it [presuming it has no fat and probably not much protein, either]. It's basically just water and vitamins/minerals, which are non-caloric [the body doesn't burn them for energy, or store them as fat, it just uses them or pees them out]. Your premise seems ... silly/flawed.
nama describes the coarse screen as the "smoothie screen", which I personally disagree with calling it that. Its really a coarse hole screen, and YES, I recommend it for juicing fruits. You can also use it for juicing vegetables if you would like MORE pulp in your juice.
I have not, and it is not likely, the Nama J2 is light years ahead of the Mod Cold Press, which is an older manual-feed design that is made in China, the Nama J2 is made in the factory that makes the BEST juicers in the world in South Korea.
I love your video, I'm subscribed to You, can you please give me the list of fruits and vegetables to juice? I'm new at this in a wanna. Start properly. What can I do? Thank you for responding to my text. Thank you for your video can't wait
It is simply untrue and unknowledgeable to say mango skins are not eaten! All people from tropical countries where these fruits are native or proliferate will tell you we grew up eating mango skins. There are varieties where the skin is think but that wouldn’t stop juicing although as a child we could not bite through or the mango was just toooooo big! Please check those who know rather than telling people something that not correct! Thank you for your videos and great experience and knowledge
Wow that’s good to know. Mango trees abound where I grew up, and I never knew any one who ate the skin. It’s good to know it’s edible. I will be adding to my juices next time.
Thank you for your response and I am happy that it’s been an eye opener for someone. As to you point, I would say it depends on the type you grew up around or the size or whether (nowadays) it is sprayed with pesticides like most fruits. I grew up in the country we were not wealthy but my grandfather was a farmer. He farmed acres of different varieties of fruits, vegetables, coffee, cashew, peanut, yams, etc! He didn’t use fertilisers and I grew up where our land had a mango grove, Orange grove, bananas, melons! Avocados! Coconuts! Etc! Most fruits the skin can be eaten and is where a lot of the vitamins and goodness resides! If the skin cannot be eaten there’s another wholistic use for it somewhere! Our country abounds with many varieties of mangoes and perhaps unless you’re wealthy and was given your mangoes peeled …. I don’t know! As children we had freedom to roam about, getting up to mischief all children that I knew ate all the mangoes, sucked the seed until it was dry! If you study most trees you will find that there’s a use for all parts. My point to the blogger was it’s unwise to make a blanket statement about a fruit that has perhaps a thousand different varieties . The trouble is Europeans and many city based folks are sent mangoes that are often not ‘fit’ meaning they’re young. They’re picked early to not ripen on the journey to stores or market then chemically ripened as opposed to being left to become properly fit or ripen on the trees. That’s why the skin is not nice. There are varieties so sweet that when you smell the skin there’s no way you will not eat the skin! The skin just melts in the mouth! Then the leaves can be boiled. The bark of the tree can be used as medication! My point may not be highlighted however, it is nonetheless important. My point I hope will be taken by the man posting the video- please Don’t make blanket statements,if you do not know a quick google nowadays can tell you. I’m a fruit bat and it grieves me to hear so many Europeans talking about fruits and spices etc that they have little knowledge about without a quick google! If they just did that, their followers would get even greater value! I love his content so I’m not here to pull-down
@discountjuicers you mention to use the coarse screen for juicing fruits, but what screen would you use if you are juicing roughly 50% fruit and 50% vegetables?
Now that's a *juicy* video.. haha I will buy it, but here in Europe i cant get the Nama, but Hurom.. same manufacturer. you should work with europe too.. $$$
You can juice whole lemons and limes and kumquats with skin on, those oils are digestible and can be healthy. Oils from skin of grapefruits, oranges and tangerines should be removed.
John, mention that fruits should be organic, if using their skin. Also, be advised, all tropical fruits are fumigated in order to enter the US, even the organically grown. So, I don’t think it will be a good idea to juice their skin!
I learned recently I have an issue with oxalate where I get involved with kidney stones which is drag. I had to swear off spinach due to the oscillate. I just looked it up and apparently jicama is also high in oxalate. have you run across any hacks where where if I add a certain other vegetable fruit or yogurt etc to high oxalate items it would reduce that situation? I'm looking for a workaround where I can continue consuming those kinds of vegetables without consequence. ideas?
HEY JOHN ! WHAT DID YOU ALMOST LOSE YOUR LIFE FROM ? IM ON THE SAME PATH BRO LIVING OH TOO THE MAX ..CHEM FREE ! YOUR KNOWLEDGE IS ON ANOTHER LEVEL 😢 KEEP CRUSHING! BILL FROM PENNSYLVANIA
the J2 can juice these items, that being said, if you juice it with jicama it will be more effective. First tip is select the MOST hard and firm berries & grapes for the best results. The softer the fruit, the more wet the pulp will be when your done. Please watch ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Sbd8iHZYLBM.html where I share why you should never juice berries. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Sbd8iHZYLBM.html
