Well yea. Youll most likely always like the original more because its a style you enjoy and you heard it first. But thats the beauty. Imagine someone who prefers this style hearing this version first. You both connected over the same lyrics even tho you both have different tastes :P
Don't listen to the haters, your music speaks to people and has the depth that so many artists lack in our generation. Keep doing what you do, I'll always say Never Shout Never is my favorite band.
Literally growing up and hearing every song from when he started to now.. and it just shows a symbol..of growing up. And it just blows my mind how things change and how mature his music changes each year..
This recycled youth album was definitely a much needed breath of fresh air. I know personally, I grow out of music quickly, and I found NSN so many years ago. I'd try listening to the songs, because I do love them, but I just wasn't feeling them. I couldn't channel into them anymore. But this. This brings a new sound to old songs. I love it. Amazing work, Christofer. 💜
He's probably getting vocal training and is probably lowering his larynx. Most Tenors (i.e. Dallas Green) who are masters of the passaggio know how to lower their larynx to sound like Chris is now in this song. Anyways, this is a GREAT version of the original song. The harmonies are superb and they blend so well with Chris's Lower Larynx singing. (BTW, everyone's vocal cords are different. His are probably just thicker, so he gets that resonant lowered larynx sound)
Or maybe they just don't like the album? I'm not saying I don't like it. I honestly love the album, but all people have different opinions and maybe some people just don't like the album.

The original of this was my favourite never shout song and it's so exciting that the band still value it enough to re record it, I'm so excited right now, I love it!
Wow I remember listening to this song on Tap Tap Revolution and I was obsessed with this guy at 18. I'm 25 now and I stopped listening after he released Time Travel. I can't believe this album was released a year ago and I missed out. These are my favorite songs revisited. I'm so buying this ASAP!
I never really gave this album a chance but after looking listening to this (which the original version of was my favourite song for legitimately 2 years when I was 13/14) I actually really enjoy this revival of it :) sometimes Chris's sound just needs to grow on you I guess

Yeah, it's just a lower octave. I think he was just trying something new, because he doesn't sound like this live or in the parts of Black Cat that I've heard so far.

I miss the old Chris. I feel like this album is a little half assed. I don't think this is his best. I mean, we've been waiting and got hyped up and it's a bit of a let down. .-.
so in love with this album!!! you guys did such an amazing job. i love this so much because when i was younger, i was TOTALLY into yalls music and your sound, but i kinda grew up a bit and wasn't listening to it as much. but now with this release, all of my favorite songs fit into my new music taste. basically, the music grew up with me. it's honestly awesome. :) forever a fan of NSN! nice work boys :)

guys, if you're reading this. I'm so sorry that a snake like Bryan stars ruined you guys careers. you never deserved that. I hope a whole new crowd comes to know your genius. I never stopped believing or listening. Peace
He fucked over a bunch of people. A few of the people that Bryan fucked over had quite a lot going for them. But they lost a lot of that because of him.
Also, their career may not be like it was. But they are doing well off. Christofer, many times, has mentioned emotionally and mentally he is in a much better state than when he was younger. He, and the band, along with many other people have done a lot of growing up.
Golemstorm Also take into consideration that 2015-2016 has been much different years than those times. Things are tense for everyone right now. 2000-2011 was a year of discovery for so many. Simpler times.
I don't think that he is singing lower. Even though he has already gone through puberty doesn't mean that his voice stays the same. His voice could of got a little deeper.
