@@brodyestes2376 i'm always surprised by the stupidity of the force sensitives, they always think they can take you, at least the common people know they can't win
Never ceases to amaze me how easily npcs forget the pc at this point has defeated the sith emperor (dark side incarnate) like 3-4 times. They are either a slave who through guile, determination, and raw power earned a seat on the dark council or were literally the emperor's wrath (one of two beings ever to hold that title).
That line really brought the core of the original Sith ethos back into focus. They started out as a xenophobic species hellbent on spreading their domain across the stars and building a powerful empire to rule over. Sith like this lunatic are indeed an aberration and stain. You can't rule an empire as a bunch of bloodthirsty maniacs, you need some discipline and pragmatism. Darth Norok had too much Dark Side power and lost focus of what it truly means to be Sith (a Ruler over others) and become little more than a wild beast.
@@StarboyXL9 It also pays into the original doctrines of the Red Sith before they were twisted by the Dark Jedi following the end of the Hundred Year Darkness: where the Red Sith valued Strength, Valor, Integrity, and Honor as Warrior-Poets. The closest analogue for these sorts of Red Sith would have been the Orcs from _Warcraft_
Huge disagree. The memo should specifically state you WON'T get a discount on funerary expenses. After all, at a certain point it stops being simple stupidity and starts being autocide.
"I got captured by some regular old Republic soldiers. Man, that was humiliating." "Oh it's the guy that killed pretty much Satan now three times. I bet I could take him." What's the Star Wars equivalent of the Darwin Award?
in my playthrough I killed Acina. I killed Valkorion/Tenebrae/Vitiate 3 times on seperate occassions. as the emperor's wrath i murdered thousands of jedis, masters and padawans alike. but nah they always try
I love this outcome choice Norok calls himself a Darth only to be captured by the Republic…. How embarrassing only to be delivered a real punishment by a true sith that really broke his chains
1:00 up until that point, I was willing to hear him out because seizing the enemy's assets for yourself is a objectively good strategy. But no more after that. I draw the line at friendly fire and imperial casualties, and no weapon firing non stop in all directions at everyone, including your own, with no means to stop afterwards, is worth keeping
The problem is that there's a very valid chance the weapons will harm the planet's ecosystem and overall stability too, which means that kolto would not be so easily obtained. Since the Empire's strategic goal is to gain Kolto on Selkath, using the weapons would be completely useless to them.
@@curtiswong7280 there's also the fact they still need to leave the station for the time being and wouldn't that put the in the sights of their own hijacked, berserking weapon? It's prettu clear the best decision is to go with 'no one owns this if I can't have it'. Norok really did live up to the phrase "expendable asset".
3:00 "You are a stain, an aberration - a degradation of the Sith. How dare you make demands of me?" Even Darth Sidious isn't as terrifying as an angry Xi'thari.
Norok proudly represents why the Empire never won against the Republic. I mean let's face it. The Sith Empire is far better at war than the Republic and Jedi. The difference is that Sith and Imperials are either plotting against one another or focus on obtaining glory at the expense of the Empire's followers. Imperials and Sith like Korrd are needed for complete victory.
I just finished playing the Agent's storyline for the first time and the comment is made that while Darth Decimus is leading the invasion, Darths Vowron, Baras, and Thanaton are too preoccupied with power plays against each other to bother. Stuff like this is touched on in other Star Wars lore, such as when Darth Bane would create the Rule of Two, because the Sith Brotherhood prior to that destroyed itself with infighting. I mean consider the Sith Warrior and Inquisitor storylines on Korriban and Dromund Kaas. Back-stabbing, in-fighting, plotting, scheming, fighting each other for personal power. The Sith are their own worst enemy but when focused on a common enemy, they're unstoppable. Problem is they can rarely stay focused on that common enemy.
@@Boskov01 The main drawback of the Rule of two was that it was to completely obliterate the Jedi from the face of the galaxy but after that there was no goal, it was destined to stagnate and come tumbling down. The main issue was how the infighting was never kept in check, there was no rules, nothing to reduce the potential damage against the Empire and Order as a whole.
Marr as well. But some level of infighting is needed to keep the Darwinian strength the Sith developed intact. The Brotherhood of Darkness suffered heavily from this problem, as Bane identified during his training with them. They were little more than Dark Jedi playing at being Sith by that point. Bane brought the true Sith philosophy back from the grave. The infighting is necessary, but at the same time obviously not enough emphasis was placed on unity, which resulted in many issues for the Empire. It's all well and good to build an economic bloc and expand your dominion, but if you can't keep enough of the people under your rule on the same page as one another and working towards the same goals, all you've done is create a nice big powder keg and set your throne right on top of it.
@@combinecommando001 Yeah, the Rule of Two worked when it needed to but it never actually solved the problem of Sith constantly fighting each other, it was just damage control. Even with only two Sith they still betrayed and plotted against each other.
Lana: So you ended up killing another Sith. So much for the New Empire being free of backstabbers and selfish idiots. Commander: This is where natural selection comes in. Lana: Natural selection? Commander: It's simple. I kill all the stupid, selfish, and backstabbing Siths, and make sure all the good ones live and are successful. That way we can give birth to a more prosperous Empire. Lana: So you're the predator in this scenario? Commander: Lana, I was always the predator. Pity so few realize this.
The better thing to do is simply act to balance out the element of luck. Is a more stable Sith falling into a bit of misfortune? Correct the situation for them. Is a bad Sith on a streak of good luck covering for their bad judgements and decisions? End the streak. Best not to interfere directly with natural selection but make it a fairer system.
2:50 "You are a stain, an aberration--a degradation of the Sith. How dare you make demands of me?" That has to be one of the most badass and chilling lines that the SW can give and Mark Bazeley, the VA for the SW, knock it off the park. EDIT: Okay, I saw another clip where you don't destroy the guns and bring Darth Norok to Korrd. If you support Korrd when Darth Krovos comes up and throw Norok under the bus and chooses to kill him, the SW easily defeats Norok in a cutscene and Mark Bazeley delivers another outstanding line.
How dare you make demands of me? I LOVE THIS PART AS WELL! Really, Norok sound like Vowrawn on Mek-Sha trying to gain control above that asteriod! you made the right choice.
You know you've done messed up when the Sith who tends to be nice and reasonable with everyone is calling you a piece of crap. Like I know in universe this is an RPG and a Sith character will always have some arguably evil tendencies, but taking this in the context of this line coming from a rare example of a light side leaning sith, who earlier in their quest line implies they have always been a light side wielding force user, this line feels like it hits a lot harder, like this guy trying to pull this is one of the few things to make the SW well and truly mad. Is that just me?
its still killing me inside how every possible character in this game is like meeting or hearing about us first time like "who is this random i will just kill him" and we fucking killed immortal emperor 4324 times take control of the eternal fleet rule the galaxy as the new emperor ofcourse defeat eternal empire but noooooo we are just another random character
"Just a simple man trying to make my way in this universe." - a Sith Warrior who accidentally got switched someones shuttle pass and confused how he got to Korriban in the first place.
"You will both learn, what happens when you defy a sith " to the literal emperors wrath and the killer of the emperor and his children, including his wife who was also powerful.
-Xi’thari: “I’m going to enjoy destroying that eyesore of a Lightsaber while I’m at it, too.” -Norok: “I’ll have you know this Lightsaber looks absolutely awesome! And it was really difficult getting it just right, mind you!” -Anri: “Yeah as about as difficult as when I tried to sack your mum-“ -Norok: “AARGGGHH!!!”
The thought of Vette, the fact that she’s dead, makes me sad and makes me scared to do Knights of the Fallen Empire. (That’s right, I haven’t gotten through the first expansion.) 😭😭😭
I thought Vette is still alive and that we lost the ichigo’s mandalorian incarnation due to empress Vaylin. Unless I missed something and Vette is dead/is going to die.
@@lametrieousp right, we saw the event for both but, I think the mandalorian with Ichigo’s voice was the one that Xi’thari chose not to go to first in favor of rescuing Vette. Again, the comment made it seem like Vette is dead again for some reason.
Funny how he is like trying to order you and saying you go against the sith while you were the emperor's wrath and the most powerful person alive at this time lol
Darth Noroks stats Strength 10 Pride 10 Intelligence 4 Wisdom 0 C'mon he killed the former emperor and his children that pretty much crippled both republic and empire and you making demands lol
Handsome sith:your the reason why the sith was given a bad name, your no better then the Jedi that slaughtered the sith, my race as a whole. For you to call yourself sith is an insult to my ancestors as a whole. Dumbass fake sith:that is the wrong answer. Handsome sith:to think your that blinded by your own pride proves to me how blind you are.i usually take prisoners, but for you, I might make an exception considering your track record at getting captured for your own incompetence. The handsome sith gain light side points. Handsome sith:………..I’m starting to question this game’s moral choices.
I know that voice of the dude that threatens you that’s the Voice actor of astarion from Baldurs gate 3 and in another video I have heard the voice of Mimir from God of war it’s cool to hear those voice actors in other games
Hmm, maybe I should resubscribe. It's been a while since I've caught up on the SWTOR story, I guess. Kinda got bored of the expansion with Arcann's empire in it and just never came back (plus they took forever to get the content out. I resubbed some time after and only like 3 episodes came out for it, I just couldn't be bothered anymore), but dialogue like this does remind me of how good the original content was.
