There is no age that is too young to teach a proper arm care routine for youth baseball and softball players! Even if you don't use bands, light weights or a body blade... teaching your players to get heated up and warmed up properly is something that needs to be done before a ball is thrown!
Using Jaeger Bands, a Body Blade, Rice Bucket or even 2-5 lb. weights to properly warm up the shoulder are all exercises that can be done both before and after throwing. Some examples of drills to help with shoulder activation are discussed throughout our pitching program and available in the pitching downloads.
