I do like the clean look of the Road King with no lowers,,,,but,,,,you got me hooked on the soft lowers and I do just leave them on most of the time, especially on a long trip to keep bugs and rain off me. I really don't notice any extra heat at all. I like those hard lowers on your bike more than I initially thought. But my 2021 Road King is maroon and white, think I would need them color matched. Great video, and you seem to attract the rain buddy,,,ha ha. Joe Zednick Panama city beach FL
Hey there Joe! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It's funny how our preferences can evolve, right? I was initially hesitant about hard lowers too, but they've really grown on me. Color-matching sounds like a great idea for your Road King. And yeah, it seems rain follows me around lately! As always, I appreciate your support and happy you enjoyed the video. Ride safe!
Based on this video and the fact I have the same exact bike, I ordered mine today. Thanks for the excellent video with discount code. Saved me a few dollars which I appreciate. Hoping I like them once installed. I'm thinking of getting the extra long hard saddlebags from the same site. They have them in vivid black at such a great price. I think they would look really good wrapped around my 4.5in Rinehearts. Keep up the awesome videos Brother.
I did not want them because I like the classic look of the Road King, I just took a ride from San Diego to San Francisco and when crossing the Mojave dessert i felt them cut through the wind. I am SOLD on hard lowers :)
EZ, bike looks amazing with those lowers! If one didn’t know about the Road King, they would believe they came with the bike when you bought it. I’ve always been a big fan of hard lower fairings. They provide protection as well as keep the rain off you and warm in the cold. You also have extra cubbyholes now to carry more items if you need to and mine also get rid of the buffeting winds on my pant legs. Looking forward to seeing another video showing how they hold up in the future! 🙌🏼 As always, it was great meeting up with you for some coffee brother. Take care!
You and Tricky convinced me on this and coincidentally TCMT offered them within in 24 hours of our conversation. And now I am sold on them... and noticed how they cut through the wind as I rode to NorCal through the Mojave Desert. Should add the the video peaked when you popped on screen... they like you! Look forward to having on another video buddy. Stay safe and see you in a few weeks.
I put the exact ones on my Road King Special. It’s Billiard red but the black looks good with the blackout front end. I haven’t experienced the heat and cold yet. But shouldn’t be an issue since the airflow is needed over the heads, not necessarily the fins. Opening the vents should be adequate. Chief CVMA 13-5
I bounce back and forth from Southern California to Northern California and I am interested if any effect on long rides on a warm day with vents open. I just rode from San Diego to San Francisco with vents closed and was fine. Also about 2 hours in pouring rain... of course... I have been catching a lot of rain lately. Will keep you all updates on how they perform but in the rain they helped a lot :) Take care and stay safe!
@@CageFreeMoto Thanks for the quick reply. I only asked because apparently there is another brand that will touch and turn signals have to be moved or even removed.
