The evolution of the HPI Trophy Flux truggy has arrived and I think I'm gunna like it😯
This is the NEW 2022 introduction from the HPI family.
The HPI Vorza S 6s truggy!
It features some new parts and a great new look but HPI did stick with some older, but proven parts that you may recognise from the older HPI models.
This car does come in 3 different RTR versions, the S version that boasts some strong 7075 parts, a Basic version and a Nitro version.
The S version is around $1100aus, the other 2 a little less I would imagine but but keep an eye out for price drops in the coming months.
If your a fan of HPI this will hopefully put a smile on your face🙂
Please let me know if I missed any crucial information, I will make sure to mention it in the next video🤞

Hey guy✌ It's a little embarrassing but has to be pointed out for anyone new to the hobby or motor KVs. I stated the motor KVs are 220kv, that's not right! It's a 2200kv 6s motor. I definitely had a brain fade😅 And I forgot to mention the stock pinion size witch is 15 tooth mod1. Just incase you needed to know👍
@francescolettiero9137
@francescolettiero9137 2 года назад
2200kv on 6s with a 15t pinion looks a bit unbalanced. What's your opinion on that? I guess its hard to keep the front wheels on the ground. Do you think a 1650/1700kv motor would be a better match? Or maybe just a 17/18t pinion? Or both? I love to upgrade everything 😁
@rccrazy
@rccrazy 2 года назад
I'm not quite sure what you mean by unbalanced, sorry. I thought it seemed fine but didn't really test it properly, it is super lightweight Personally I do prefer lower kv motors and higher gearing though, yes. I'll do a few vids with it all stock then I'll try and get another Rocket 4082 1720kv motor with like 18t pinion👌

Another nice vid. I liked the idea to point out little quirks or things that catch out potential buyers like the left hand thread screws. Good job.

Actually moving the mounting points closer to the chassis will make the suspension effectively even softer because the arms will have more mechanical advantage on the springs. You'll need to move the suspension out as far as possible to make the effective spring rate stiffer. That being said I don't think it's going to make enough of a difference to make up for how soft those springs are
@rccrazy
@rccrazy 2 года назад
Yeah I kinda knew that moving out will stiffens the spring rate but I knew the springs were well, useless, so I went for hight instead. Got some new springs on it now anyway. Thank you though👌👍

With my Vorza buggy, the main thing I’ve noticed is the clasp with the fan mount can snap under heavy landings, not sure why it only seems to be that one for me, I had it happen to two mounts, then I just combined the two front clasps on one motor mount and it’s been fine since. Also the way they have all the screws spread out on the Vorza’s mount prevents it from weakening the chassis like the Sledge. (Also helps that it uses a thicker chassis)
@rccrazy
@rccrazy 2 года назад
Oh that's no good😬 I did notice the fan part was much thinner than the one without the fan mount, thanks for the heads up. Thanks for watching👍

Center braces upgrades will probs come along in time. I think it makes more sense to give ppl the option to install it as not everyone is hard on theyre rigs and so won't need it. Thats probs true for a lot of upgrades
@rccrazy
@rccrazy 2 года назад
I really don't think a centre brace will be designed by HPI but it definitely needs one, it may be 7075 but it's still quite flexible. It effects the diffs and everything if the chassis flexes.

Im after a bit of advice. I’ve just brought one of these and it’s the first rc I’ve got that takes two batteries. I have a couple 2s packs which fit okay but I can’t fit two 3s packs in it. The straps aren’t long enough and yeah I could get some longer straps however the body doesn’t fit. Would you recommend converting it to take one pack and getting a 6s pack? Or is there something els I can do? Cheers.
@rccrazy
@rccrazy 7 месяцев назад
Hey mate, I personally prefer and only run a single 6s pack in my 6s cars and it's much neater with less wires. I just cut the plugs off and solder on my preferred 5.5mm bullet connectors. In these HPI 1/8 truggies I find 4000mah 6s to fit nicely and it keeps the weight down and may prevent some damage, I'm happy to sacrifice 2-3 minutes run time for a nice organised and under weight car😅 But as you said you can run longer straps aswell if you really needed to. Hope that helps🤞
