At 71 years young my Triumph Trophy was getting to be too top heavy.I thought I was done riding.Well,I was at the dealership getting ready to sell my Triumph and I looked over and saw the scout sitting there, well I sat on it and right away I said this is nice and light!I took it for a test spin,to make a long story short I brought that Scout home with me! We Aint Done Yet!
ME! I went to a dealership the other day and the classic, yet tough look of Indian motorcycles reeled me in. The Scouts were nicer in person. The Rogue and Scout 20 (with apes) actually fit a bigger guy like me. I was shocked.
I picked up my scout Bobber on Jan. 25, 2022, and installed mini apes, new seat, headlight, cafe faring, exhaust, etc, etc etc. …. Feb 1, 2022 Indian announced the rouge…. Story of my life. Haha. Had the rouge been out I would have 1000% bought that instead. But I’m glad it wasn’t, one: I’d still be waiting, two: I actually like the way the faring and mini apes looks with the fat front tire. It’s more the bobbers of old look. The skinny tire and faring makes it look like a sportster that’s trying to be a dyna, styled like sons of anarchy. 😂🤣 just my opinion. Don’t get me wrong. It’s looks sick. I thing wrong with what I just said. Indian will sell thousands of these. Great video, can’t wait for the next. Keep it up. Ride safe!
Would like to see you test ride the new Harley NIghtster and compare it to the Scout bobber. You seem to be fairly objective in your reviews, and I think a lot of people appreciate that.
I'm seventy three years old, and have been riding Harleys most of my adult life! I had to give up my 2017 Harley Street Glide. I had some health problems, and was no longer strong enough to handle the bike! Got rid of the Harley and bought a 2013 Triumph America 900! It was too tall for me! Thinking I could no longer ride a two wheeler, I bought a 2021 Can Am, Spider RT Limited. I've been looking at Indian Scout bobbers on u-tube for awhile now! When I heard about the Rogue, I put money down on one! It's been on order for several months! It came in on Thursday, and I rode it home Friday! The first Rogue sold in the New Braunfels area! I like it better than all three of my Harleys put together! I think I have my Can Am sold!
Dope review brotha! I was between getting a Scout bobber and a HD sportster when I couldn't ride a crotch rocket any more...... I went with the sporty. But now I'm gonna go for Scout Rogue 🤪 I really like the look of the bike. I'm not ready to ride a bagger so a Rogue it is! Awesome video and channel my guy. Respect from San Diego, CA! 👊
Yeah it sure is! Can't wait for it. Well worth the wait. This is my first bike for the street. Did the dirt stuff for a long time. So it's a good change.
Thumbs up I’m new to motorcycles and don’t have one yet. I’m 41 with a wife and four kids so I’m not a dumb kid trying to be cool but I have long been wanting to ride. This is the bike I want for sure. Your videos have helped. Also I subscribed. Thanks man.
I am in the same situation, 40 here but not kids. I would get that motorbike if only I didn't want to buy bigger house lol. . Damn, always something...
Another great one, Ricky! I can't wait to try one out in a couple of weeks. I really like the bar height on the Rogue. Already looking forward to your next vid.
People laughed when I put the mini apes on, then the Scout Bobber Twenty came out with them stock. Then I got flack for “ruining” the bike with the quarter cafe fairing & Rogue comes out and everyone says it’s awesome. 😂
Love this review brotha, just subscribed! ✅👍 I’m definitely now convinced on getting the Rogue for that slimmer front wheel, mini apes & luxury seat. Indian might have Almost perfected the Scout at this point, only things left to do in my opinion would be: 1. Upgraded Shocks 2. Make the Chief touchscreen speedo available to purchase and mod on the Scout. 3. Cruise control would be sweet! PS: Hey Indian, if you’re reading this, definitely keep the sagebrush green lineup rolling, and next year add a maroon red for the Rogue 🙏🏍🤩
Great informative video ricky! The Rogue and Chief are the two bikes I most want to test ride. I know you also love the touring bikes, but cruiser bikes are the ticket for me. Backroads and curvy mountain roads is where I ride, and my Scout shines, rippin' the miles making me smile. I'm just waiting for demo days to come around in my area to try the new models out. Ride and stay safe down in Big Texas!
Impossible to be disappointed Ricky! You put out great content. Got my Rouge black smoke midnight ordered a few weeks back and can’t wait get her on the road. Just hoping it’s sooner than later 🤞
Great video, I'm new to your channel, I've watched all your videos already and some of them 2 to 3 times haha! I ordered a Rogue and probably won't get it till June or July :( I've been riding for 8 years now on a 2003 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 so I can't wait, keep up the great work!!!
The scout is the 3rd fastest indian. The FTR is first, then the Challenger, then the scout. The ftr does 0 to 60 in 3.3 seconds, the Challenger in 3.9 and 1/4 mile in 12.2 or less, the scout does a 4 second and 12.5 1/4
Super late comment- I bought a 22 rogue 60 I added pipes, and stage 1 tune- I must say that it has plenty of power, plenty- it hauls- I felt the reg scout was good too, just price and I’m still under with the mods to my 60- I love my bike - my wife gives me the eyes, so I told her to get a bike and she will understand- well, she is now- yeah! Thanks for the review- it actually aided in my purchase decision
6'6 riding a 2020 indian scout bobber! I'm enjoying every mile I put on her. Definitely going to upgrade the seat then looking towards suspension or fairing since I'm on the freeway frequently
I've been looking into my first bike and I'm super keen on a bobber, I'm 6'4 and I'm worried about getting exhausted on long rides due fighting the wind, how are you finding it?
I liked this video because your not a seasoned motorcycle veteran with a million miles of riding time and you kinda hit all the right notes with this video. 👍 Great to have your opinions on this bike, I currently ride a Ducati monster with almost 40,000 miles on it and am looking for a second bike which doesn't require a second job to pay for maintenance 😀...just want a great looking and sounding bike and thanks to you and this video and Indian of course narrows my decision between triumph and honda...✌️👌
Great review 👏 answered most of my questions I was thinking about the Dark horse, never pulled the trigger because I like the style of the Bobber more I think the Scout is the middle ground between the two minus the technology of the Dark Horse.
At 1:42 that’s crazy to me seeing 70mph in 2nd gear at just under 7k rpm. I have a scout bobber not the 60 the main one and I’ve never ran the rpm that high in the 3k miles I’ve ridden on it. Growing up riding dirt bikes even though I had no idea what rpm I was running i know it was always near redline since i only rode 2 strokes but on street bikes I’ve never owned a sport bike I know I would lose my license or die since i can’t control myself on them since they remind me of the good old two strokes with the insane top end power that is addictive as hell it scares you but puts the biggest smile on your face so my first bike in high school was a shadow 750 then a 2004 victory Vegas with the 92 ci motor I absolutely love that bike besides the only problem I had with it being a older model it only had a 5 speed transmission so on the highway around 90mph where I’d like to cruise around usually I always felt the rpm sounded too high for my comfort even although I know victory’s in general do better at higher rpms than standard Harley motors do but on my Scout around 90mph I’m usually always in 6th at around 4500rpm or so I believe so I’m perfectly comfortable with that but I’ve never ran it past 6000 at the most I almost never even go past 5500 I just feel like it will help the engine life but I could be wrong. I’m curios now what it feels like to go past 7000rpm i will try it just once when I go out tomorrow just to see but I generally never feel the need to. I do wish it was more powerful though I wish I could magically get the sportster s’s 1200 in there instead with the 120hp and higher torque as well and I like that the sportster is lighter too it must be more fun I’ve never ridden one but i like the way the scout bobber looks far more than the sportster still. I do wish I could have like a Ktm super duke or a Ducati streetfighter but I’d probably have the same result on those that I’d have from a sports bike. Safety wise the scout is plenty fast enough. I’d really love to try the newest Yamaha vmax ive never ridden any of them but they seem like excellent bikes as well. I am curious about the 1300 big bore kit apparently out now from Indian for the scout I didn’t do much at all to my Bobber I have the matte black one and keeping the paint in good condition is a major pain in my behind and very very difficult. I just changed the exhaust simply put the Vance and Hines cutoffs they sound amazing but apparently they don’t do much for power and i just changed the air filter simply not the box I put a K&N filter in it instead I don’t know if just those two are worth upgrading the ecu or whatever your supposed to do flash or whatever I don’t know about electronics at all yet I could clean a carb but don’t know much about fuel injection yet one thing I hated about the scout was changing the air filter it was unnecessarily difficult having to remove the tank and everything it was a pain to get done on my other bikes it was incredibly easy to change air filters I think they only did that on purpose maybe so incompetent people would have to take their bikes to the dealer for a simple air filter change. My fellow millennial all seem incompetent at mechanical things not just with vehicles but basic home things I manage properties and these millennial tenants will want an electrician because a fuse needs to be simply switched for example they don’t know how to change the air filter on the ACs just the most basic things
Awesome video 👌🏻 great review on honest opinion🙏🏻 i love the looks of the Rogue. I do alot of long rides so being more comfort is awesome even though my favorite is the Bobber twenty. But again im a huge fan of the Thunderstroke 116ci and if i need to pick between the Rogue and the 2022 Chief my choise will be the Chief😁 i really enjoy your video's and your Bobber is one of the best looking Bobbers ive seen👌🏻
Great review! Heavily considering this bike over the much more expensive fxlrst. That bike is what I really want but it’s around 10k more and harder to find. Would definitely like to see what people do to raise the height. Coming from sport bikes I need to be able to get more lean angle than the rogue has stock.
fxlrst is one badass bike, comes with that badass pricing too though lol. Honestly, if you really want to you could get a bike like the rogue to fit the same purpose. Throw some bags on and maybe a sissy bar and you could take this thing on a tour just like low rider st. If the rogue had cruise control or at least a cruise control addition option I'd be sold, but the fact that it doesn't makes me want to just go to the Chief
Another great one sir. Video, sound, quality and editing on point. I heard you mention swapping out your stock rear suspension. Do you know what you would go with. Also I have heard other people mention the spots left by the seat. Indian needs to remedy this. It is all about the fit and the finish. Until next time. ✌️
Not sure yet... I've heard Progressives are really good. I also want to test out the new piggy back shocks Indian Motorcycle came out with. Thanks for watching and for your kind words PharmDawgg! I appreciate it!
I've been riding for over 30 years never thought I'd have an Indian in my stable but I'm trading my HD in on one. All from your video you should get a kick back or a commission Make sure I tell them
Nice review, I might be looking to add a Scout 20/Scout Rouge or Chief to the ol' stable. Choices, choices great info here and I think I might be leaning more towards that front wheel on the Rouge....it really looks good!!!
I like the look of the scout, but at the same time. I wish they offered an option for mid-controls like the original scout, taller suspension, and reengineering the gas tank for more fuel-it's double hulled, some people were able to get up to 4-5 gallons in the tank if they drilled through and moved the fuel pump. I know people will say "get the FTR" but I really truly dislike that flat tracker tail, I like the classic style rear fender much more.
Exactly what I was thinking about rogue... Tire at the front compliment the ape bar ... somehow I made my bobber comfortable with bar riser and mini foot rest...
i own a 2022 FTR Carbon but i fell in love with the Rogue too. dont want to sell the FTR and a second bike is not an option at the moment. but they did exactly to the scout what i was imagining to be the perfect scout for me ... as they did to the challenger by releasing the pursuit ... damnit Indian :D
Hey, means you can put the seat of a rouge on the bobber? I’m in love with that mate wine color, if Indian put a cruise control I will put that wine color in a rouge Ill be willing to upgrade my rebel 1100 or at least keep both, the riding position is crucial to me! By the way nice review brother!
A while back, I got the chance to sit on one. Just sitting on it, me and the bike felt like one. Like the bike was an extension of me, rather than just sitting ON a bike.
Great Video, nice quality! I‘m searching a bike , i fell in love with the scout 2 or three years ago but last weekend i went to the Indian Store ( we don‘t have that many in germany) i just loved the badass looking Springfield Dark Horse. Do have any advise with witch bike i should go. It‘s my first bike eben if i‘m allready 37 years old. Love your Channel and your viedo‘s!
I love that Springfield man! Such a beautiful bike and Im a big fan of the Thunderstoke engine and how it sounds. The weight is going to make it a little trickier when learning how to ride but It's definitely doable. The good thing about going with the Springfield is that it will work for long distance and for around town.
@@RickyNotSoMartin thx 🙏 for your oppinion. I like that blacked out Style of the dark horse Springfield. At first i justed wanted this bad evil look of the bobber scout but when i saw that Springfield in Stores i was like „wow, wtf this is Realy good looking „
I like how all the Indian Scouts look, and this Rogue looks nice too. I found the Scout feeling too small when sitting on one though and ended up getting a Raider instead. I would still like to get an Indian one day, perhaps a Chief.
I just picked up the FTR 1200 Carbon R about 3 weeks ago, and I am already looking at possibly adding in another Indian in the garage. This is on the short list.
I noticed in one of your photos of you with your scoot that the louvres on the radiator seemed to be upside down. To collect the full flow of cooling air they should be angled down not up. Are they adjustable?
Not taking a jab at you. Most new riders miss the fact that every bike is built for a certain type of riding. You gotta know what you plan on doing before you buy. Also there's the fun of customizing and making the bike exactly what you want! Power? Style? Comfort? Attention grabber? Its all good as long as its what you want
Great review... I really like the combat exhaust you are running on your scout. Do you think it should fit the new Rogue? I have a Rogue on order and looking at exhaust systems
Hi Ricky , I wanna buy an Indian scout and I need some advices if it’s possible 1- a scout rogue or a scout bobber ? 2- what’s type of exhaust you have on your scout bobber ? It’s sounds crazy 3- what can you tell me about scraping pegs when you took an angle and lean with the bike? This worries me a lot. Thank you. Vous avez envoyé Is it possible to put two sides saddlebags and a sit passenger all together?
Hey dude! Love the videos. Congrats on all your hard work being noticed by Indian. Did fuel motor ever get a custom tune for the freedom 2/1 exhaust for the pv3?
I was on the fence between an Indian scout bobber and Harley sportster s. But sportster s has reliability problems. Then just heard of a rogue. Thank you for making this video. What helmet are you using with goggles?
Nice vid. Was on a testride today. Now i wanna have one! J&h and a New tail is already ordered 😎 One question: what helmet do you wear? Thanks and greeetings from germany
Amazing video!! Thanks for all the info. I would like to know your thoughts on this one. I am a beginner, I am thinking on getting my first bike (the Scout Rogue) for weekend trips (4-5hrs), do you think its a good option if I am planning to ride it with a companion (copilot) adding the extra seat? Thanks bro!
at 6:35 you can see a Scout Rogue with the quick release fairings. Know where I can find more pics of this bike? I would love to see all the mods they did to it
the rogue looks like they are trying to get the victory octane guys that didn't get one to get into the rogue... I have the octane and Polaris used the octane concept to build the scout around that and put the scout into production before the octane still love the bike but that's an octane ur buying of course my opinion, to each their own...
I rode the scout rogue on a demo day last Friday. I was impressed to say the least. I would buy one for a daily commuter. You can have looks and comfort if you add a memphis shades road warrior or gauntlet fairing to your bike.
Bro, for what you paid, or might pay, you should check out the Honda CMX1100. It's way less expensive AND it has things your current bike doesn't. peace.
Good review mate, Im from a sportsbike/supernaked background. But over the last year or so Ive been tempted to move to a cruiser, but want something with a little go in it. I nearly bought a scout bobber, but ended up getting myself an old triumph speed triple, just to get me by until I made my mind up. Im looking forward to seeing this when it comes to the UK. I think it could be my first cruiser. :) My only concern is that im 6ft 2 and wondering if I may be too tall.
Not at all. I'm 5'7" with my boots on and am stretched with my 30" inseam. You can get forward controls. Indian has ride events all the time, go check one out and ride it.
Whats the reliability on indian motorcycles? I just sold my zx6r. Looking for a zx10r or a scout. I rode my cousins bolt 900cc and that thing was slow as hell. Going over bumps it was painful on my back to.
Esa Rogue se ve bienn, esosss arossss uufff!!! Yo le cambiaría de una ese muffler!!! Muy largo para mi gusto!! Pero sigo inclinado más en la Bobber pq se ve más ruda! Tremendo video como siempre!
