Great content. Your 7.28 1/8 time is actually quicker than my best 100% stock Model 3 Performance time(7.30). I have 18” wheels and weight reductions now so I have run 7.12 in the 1/8. If you can get 18” wheels that will help considerably. Also taking seats out will get you another 10th in most cases. Keep up the great work. I enjoy your videos. You could definitely get the record with weight reductions.

Thanks for watching!! If this was a track only car I would definitely consider it’s also my daily so unfortunately taking seats would be a lot of hassle for me. I also really like the look of the uberturbines so I don’t wanna get rid of em, even for a tenth of a second advantage which is pretty big in the 8th.

@@RichOnTrack taking the seats out is actually really easy. It is a couple of bolts. Takes about 8 minutes to take everything out if you have the wrenches ready to go. It takes longer to preheat the car than take the seats out.

This is where the 3-motor Plaid shines - videos show S & X Plaid still pulling hard at higher speeds. Not sure if there’s enough room for a third motor in a M3, but if Tesla manages to build a Plaid M3, I’m buying one. Until then, the M3P is still pretty damn quick. I currently drive a Performance Model S and absolutely love it, but have been eagerly waiting for the Plaid 3 to drop. If a Plaid version doesn’t appear within a year (now that the new 3 is official), I’ll likely get an S Plaid and call it a day.

Hi I’m usually 50-50 unless the track calls for it. For instance I did a 60-40 with more power to fronts but that was a badly prepped track. I’d say 50-50 is best for 98% of the time

Track mode power distribution is irrelevant in a straight line. The setting only applies when turning the wheel. You can set 100% front and you’ll have the same ET.

I love the look of bmw X m40! I traded my 2020 BMW m40i for 2022 MYP and never once stopped smiling! I absolutely loved all my other cars with the m40i being my ice favorite but it’s just incredible feeling in my everyday driving knowing it’s like ice car on steroids ! Like you have the car on a yo yo string! QUICK AND FAST and will pull back instantly when driving in traffic. One pedal driving is so under rated in my opinion of course🤷‍♂️ Oh I can’t see you beating my myp because I dragy timed both my m40i and myp. His m3p is faster yet!✌️

2 things to help here. Your decimals. Im not sure why you say them weird because your English sounds perfect. But its not 6, 1 thousandths. Its just 6 thousandths. In trades we say thou. But whatever. Also instead of the 1 second headstart give the hit or have a tease. What i do in mine all the time is just stay a nose ahead. They always feel like they can do it 😅. The benefits of being able to flutter your power so effectively. Also your channel is amazing. Im binging it all 😂

I have some videos of me at the 1/4. Problem is the closest 1/4 mile track is 3 hours away and not open regularly(usually once every month I believe) and it’s like $150-200 each day compared to the $40 it is at my local 1/8

since he recently supercharged, i believe turning on track mode turns on the cooling for the battery, and since he wants the battery warm, keeping track mode off is the better option.

Driving YP at the moment and I must say I do miss the 3P accelleration. I hope the refreshed Model 3 wont be too good, or I will have to start making up excuses to go back to 3P... He he.. Really though, in seriouslyness, the 3P I think is the best car size wise.. But since the 3P cant have hitch and its a sedan, its the main reasons I bought YP.. But I miss the gokart feel of the 3P and the accelleration... I just wish they would do a refresh with Y rear hatch and the hitch on 3P... But if the refresh is very much quicker, I may have to figure something smart out. Maybe I could have a new 3P and also a second car for hitch/ebike rides.

I know! For me the model 3 was a much better financial choice being cheaper and having no maintenance as well as the cheap cost of fueling it with electricity. That and autopilot made it the clear winner but I still love the c8 so much

I was in the same boat. I wanted a fast daily though instead of daily + sports. I picked the 22 MP3 and sold my Camry. I do regret it a little because I want a V8, especially the C8, but it’s not daily capable in the Midwest. If you have a daily already, then get the C8 hands down. The car is faster than the MP3 and way cooler. I may try to get the Hybrid C8 next, but we’ll see.

People don’t realize the dig isn’t even the teslas fastest pull. If you look at the dyno of the model 3 you can see the Tesla puts out the most power from a roll around 30 or 40 roll. Car pulls like a lambo 30-130.

Impressive! It really is hard to beat a performance EV. They ROCK. I also disagree that noise and shifting is required for enjoyment, it's not. Even so, it's good to remember that a true GT car is faster than any EV, on a high speed "touring" trip. As high travel speeds, long range and quick fill ups are the name of the game for a GT car.

I own a Tesla 3P and a c8 Z51. The Tesla is consistently faster accelerating because no launch control or other shenanigans. Why does the Vette have to go through that process each time? Can’t it just be there? 4:32 The really surprising thing is that they are equal on a road course. The Vette, of course, looks better and sounds great as it should for double the price!

Great races there but I personally think asking if you should give the other car a head start is pretty arrogant and condescending. Just race straight up every time and show the true gap. Besides your method of counting isn’t accurate every time so there are way too many variables.

Really liking your channel. I do believe in the saying that if you don't occasionally redlight, you're not trying hard enough. BUT, I submit you're cutting it a little too close. You've got some of the best RTs I've seen but if you lose 10-15% of your races at the tree due to a red light, IMO it's not worth the gamble. Sure, it feels bad when just a tad faster RT could have gotten you a win in a close race but that happens less often than you redlight. Just my opinion.

@@RichOnTrack those Uber turbines are heavy! I changed to 19 inch Gemini wheels on my 21 y performance that had heavy 21 inch Uber turbine wheels and back tires( 500 a piece) that would only last 20,000 miles ( 9 months). There is a guy getting 11.79 quarter mile times with his Y performance with 19 inch Gemini wheels all season Michelin tires. I’ve seen 3 performances hitting 11.27 to 11.4 on 18 inch wheels. I guess the 8th mile wouldn’t make much a difference. Looking forward to seeing you do more races 🙂

Ys it may be fast in a straight line , go to the road race track and see how fast the chevy dissapears. And in 10 years the vette will be worth more than it cost new while the Tesla will depreciate like any other car.

Not even a quarter mile race? 99% of the time EV will win cuz of instant torque. Not hating on Tesla specifically, but it’s obvious that majority of the EV vs ICE; the EV will win in the shortest distance.

takes about 1/3 of a second or .350 seconds to blink a human eye. .0006 is much faster than that.

M3P is pointless without taking it to the track IMO, may as well just get the Long Range with acceleration boost. Better, more practical package for everyday driving, cheaper, more range.

My mate of mine had a 2022 C8 carbon edition and he told me it claimed 0-100kmh in 3 seconds so we raced. I smoked his ass on the road from the lights and from a roll..... over and over and over. So he sold it a couple of months later.
