The yellow one is so damn beautiful. My wife is getting mad as hell. She keeps hearing me watching videos about this bike, and she knows I’m about to bust a move. And she’s right. Like it or lump it……..
I rode my 2021 RS to my dealer to ride their demonstrator and back to back the acceleration is much better on the 2023 bike and although the stylemas are much like the M40s the feel is much better, IMO it's a major improvement on an already great bike. my only gripe is that each incarnation of the TFT has gone backwards and I liked the 2017 TFT best but not liking the TFT didn't stop me ordering it in cosmic yellow.
I think the ST R would be more than good enough for street riding especially for the money you have to pay. But if i buy one i probably have to go for the RS. For me it's the colors that make the bike look stunning. The yellow would be my way to go.
7:27 I disagree, as male of 60kg, I don't have much padding if you get what I mean. The Z900, gsx s750 and so on all have hard seats compared to the comfortable seat on the 765rs. The difference is huge if you are skinny.
Thanks for answering my questions! And sorry for the lengthy prose. 😂 (My name is pronounced the way an English speaker would read it. I’m from the Philippines, btw.) “A bit marmite.” Hahaha! 😂
I drove 8000km a Duke 890r and yesterday i drove the rs first time.. I am a little disappointed because the 890r had so much more torque in low and mid rpm. The RS has great torque in high rpm above 8000 rpm. Its such a nice looking bike , Seating position is great but unfortunately not my bike... :/ Also the way when you want to change the gears are to long in my opinion. If triumph put in a strong 3 cylinder like the MT 09 cp3 engine with more torque in low and mid rpm (drove 20 min later the mt09 to compare both) instead, that bike would blow my mind... I was really looking forward to drive the Street Triple and had seen my on this bike this season but now i`m really sad about it.
The Moto2 clip-ons are above the yoke and not attached to the forks like the RR or most sports bikes. 100mm forward and 80 down over the RS. A more aggressive position but a bit of a halfway house. You can buy a similar arrangement for the RS from 3rd party manufacturers.
Where there used to be a clamp, there is now a weld due to emissions and anti-tampering legislation. Yoshimura confirmed to me that they are working on exhausts. The hope is for aftermarket catted exhausts that will satisfy the factory map. Unless the North American exhausts are different…
Thank you for replying to my question. Actually 60-70 miles/hrs is already quite a speed. I would have hoped they had reduced that value, because for the street it is too high. Why don't the reduce the gears up to fith gear and keep the sixth as an overdrive for cruising?
Hi Rob!! Will be in London 4th week of May and have a free day. Was thinking of renting a motorbike. Could you recommend a good day trip? Some nice B roads. Minimal expressways. Thanks!! Don’t mean to make you my tour agent but thought you might give me a recommendation. Thanks! 😊
It's a pretty bike, especially the cosmic yellow. But, realistically how justifiable is it to purchase an RS for a couple thousand more, particularly when the majority of riders are never going to take it on a track. I certainly can't afford track riding. But, then there goes my cosmic yellow paint job. So....
10:35 to 11:20 They should def update it Im very hyped getting mine next week but I do dislike the butterfly effect. Should be like on the 2018 models, that's amazing.
@@nottherealaaron I would like to if possible, to unleash the wonderful exhaust notes of that triple. But I’m still a ways away from making the upgrade. Just monitoring the specs and upgrade potential.
Listened to the newest podcast with Tim, then had a dream that he picked me up to go riding without helmets….it got weirder after that. Think I’ll skip the podcast for a bit. 👍🤪🇨🇦
A lot of the stuff about dash tech does, to me, smack of incremental upgrade mentality by the bike companies. Both the Street triples are, more or less, perfect, for what they do and offer. Next year, there will be a new, updated, R with TFT. Yer man was right, Triumph clocks are quite awful. All they need to do is copy Ducati/BMW a bit more closely, and it will be problem solved. I would buy the new 765 RS because it is utterly beautiful. The MT 09 isn't. However, they're both great bikes. It's a shame that, living around London, insurance becomes a major factor in buying a replacement bike ( for me, a CB650R that I now need to get an MOT cert. for). Thank you for the vid. Interesting.
It sounds to me Triumph need a whole new engine to compete with the likes of MT09, 890 duke R and Ducati monster. I bet the RS would be more expensive than the MT09 SP. You'll be paying more for less performance.
You get more torque with the Yamaha, but that's it. The quality and build of the Triumph is top notch. The old STR was closer to the 890r in performance, this one should make them equal. Ducati, well the SP is now much more expensive than the STR.
No Commie bikes for me! Cheap Chinese bikes can stay in China! As for the Mean Mr. Mustard color on the RS. I like it and that would be my color choice.
