After having surgery last Saturday i realised it is not good to compare yourself with videos. Because everyone is different and you cant predict how the recovery will go for you. I have good flexion, 6th day it was 90° but my quad is terrible, cant squezze it as i should. First couple of days after hospital i could sleep whole night, now it is a problem, waking uo dozens of times during the night and then around 3:30 go to living room and start gaming to take my mind of pain.
@@ramachandravamsi-pp3qs after 6 days my phisio started bending my leg and he went until i feel the pain. I felt the pain at 90th degree and he didnt want to push anymore after pain, sou ypu should go with bending untill you feel it is stiff and slight pain. It is normal. I am now 4th month post op, have absolutely normal run but still not runni g and changing directions. Stay strong!
@@ramachandravamsi-pp3qs can you bend your knee fully like before the surgery? If so, you should see a therapist and a doctor. If You cant fully bend your knee its ok
Just had my surgery 6 days ago (ACL and Meniscus repair. So far I'm at -3 to 97 degrees..minimal pain and I'm only on Ibuprofen 800s. Keep up on your exercises and you'll be fine
@nessa90 I've been doing great..I have full range of motion, been going to the gym to regain the strength from being non-weight bearing for 6 weeks..slowly making progress but I've had zero issues with movement, pain, or anything else like that. My surgeon and physical therapist are incredible at what they do
Guys don’t feel bad continue your therapy it will take time with sone people I covered 180 in 9 month but it stiff again and again just try to seat in floor. Now it’s 2 years but still 100% loose will take time.
Guys never compare your progress with videos. Its completely different from person to person and dont try any new exercises looking at RU-vid videos. Your doctor is the right point of contact to help you in clearing all your queries.
@@shyamreddy6597 I didn't get any pain and I can easily able to bend the knee, so I am worrying that whether my graft got loose or something happen because every one saying there is pain while bending after surgery
@@shyamreddy6597 Actually I am getting no pain while bending and I can able to bend easily so I am thinking my graft become loose or something wrong because every one are saying they feeling pain while bending please tell me
I don't even get how this is possible! They gotta be loaded up on pain meds. I'm at a week and a half and can hardly bend it. I had acl reconstruction and a meniscus repair. I've made some progress but not very much
How are you doing right now? I am 7 weeks in after surgery and can bend my knee at around 95 degrees. The first 6 weeks I did not train my leg because I had no Physiotherapy. I am like waaaaaay behind than the usual.
3. Day after acl reconstruction. Cant bend over 30 deegres and i im practicing 3-4 times a day… it seems like some people get it faster. Even tho im my whole life physicaly very fit..
Hello, here is my case: It has been almost 4 weeks since I got a surgical suture for my patella (yep, my patella is stitched up because it broke into small pieces) At this moment, I take 30 minute walks daily without any type of support and do bending and stretching exercises throughout the day I can bend my knee 40 degrees actively and 85 degrees passively My process seems pretty good and it is going to take me a lot of time, and the rehab process is painful af, but I keep going So my fellas, don't be afraid of pain and physical therapists, they are going to be your best friends in this process!
Meniscus repair was worst thing i have ever done . Now i have clicking/popping in left knee and can't find a doc to help me. Also a drop down and pulling feeling after i run.
It’s 7 days post surgery for me (single hamstring tendon graft). I can’t even bend my knee 10% of what this guy is doing, this is due to the pain on the side of my thigh from where the tendon was harvested, every time I try to bend my knee I feel like I can but the excruciating pain in the side of my thigh is stopping me and it feels so weird. I have the exact same bandages/incision bandaid as this guy in the video does, exact same spots too. Any help much appreciated.
@@Weorweirdos nah not really just typically tightness and soreness, but i could feel my acl attached to my tibia. it was weird but i can tell everything was put back together
@@bryanb1839 i mean im an athlete and because of that my muscles and ligaments were extremely strong. I didn't get surgery right away. I did prehab accidentally tbh. I did not know i tore my acl so i just did knee exercises to strength my leg and eventually i got an MRI, i wasn't able to afford one at first. the results came back saying i had tore my acl and the right part of my meniscus. The first hour after surgery, when i went home i was able to bring my knee close to my chest and extend out. I guess I'm built different idk
Watched live ACL reconstruction surgery 2 days ago in the orthopaedic department. It was ACL reconstruction surgery with lateral meniscus repair. The graft used was Peroneus brevis.
Yeah, I don't get how people can do it so quickly. I'm in a leg brace and can't bend passed 90 degrees even though I'm no wear near there. But i got a meniscus repair and acl reconstruction.
I was got the same Sergery and a week after started to walk but before I got Sergery I walked around with a torn ACL man I hope you didn't get tore on a trampoline
I had Arthroscopic pcl avulsion fixation with bone button and i can't bend knee slightly.. pain is too much ... Good day, sir. Do you have a full program for knee flexion? I experienced accident 3 months ago and it caused tibial plateau fracture of my left knee/leg. Been in cast for 2 months and knee immobilizer for 1 month. In short, my leg was placed in just straight position. Now, my doctor allowed me to gradually bend my knee. But how would I do that? What should I do first to be able to bend my knee? Thank you in advance 😇
I'm a sports player my problem acl tear ( high grade partial thickness tear ) pls comment your genuine reply surgery is better for life or strengthening is better then surgery for sports players pls reply your comments
It’s all about how unstable you are without a repair and the sports you play. Sorry can’t comment on what you should do in this regard with you being a patient as I don’t give surgical advice over social media
Doctor, can you please tell me I’m a football player and almost one year now I got hit by the opponent from the back of my right knee while falling off I heard some strange noise😢 now my leg isn’t swollen and no pain but popping something when warming up so the doctor recommended me to have surgery in order to not get worse in the future. Now I’m very worried and confused I need help pls 🙏
I feel you my friend. My acl got torn I completely shredded one side of my meniscus and slightly tore the other side and I tore my cartilage up playin rugby and I’m now where near this and my knee is twice the size of this patient. Hope you have a speedy recovery g
This is so frustrating. I had ACL repair as well as Meniscus ,and bending my leg in this position is damn near impossible and I am three weeks post op. I can let my leg bend if im sitting on the end of a bed of table and let gravity push it, PT got it to 80-85 degrees so far. Is it scar tissue?
Enteresan. Yarın 3. Haftam olacak. Dizimi 180 derece bükebiliyorum. Ayrıca ağrı yok. Nasıl bu kadar hızlı esneklik kazandı bilemiyorum. İnşallah problem yoktur. Ayrıca değneksiz rahatlıkla yürüyorum. İstedikleri için süs gibi değnek taşıyorum.
7 days after ACL/Meniscus surgery using the patella. My knee is so tight and I’m now burning and tingly numb everywhere on my shin through to my calf and it feels like needles or burning stressed muscles and it’s so hard to bend. I can keep it straight it just seems unbearable and so abnormal. Anyone having these same symptoms? This seems like it’s gonna be a long road. I’m so numb and tingly and it’s like there’s no feeling but yet it all burns and super uncomfortable in there.
Your not the only one going through it mate same here. It’s probably due to the meniscus. Your ACL will heal faster then your MCL so take it easy get your meds and keep doing the physio exercises 👍
Flexion is definitely tougher and will take longer with a patella Tendon graft and meniscal repair, but you will get there with consistency. If you all get stuck have a look at my rehab program and physiorehab.com
