@@sword9497 Well hey, they do have the same voice actress, were added to the PBE of LoL and VALORANT, and look oddly similar to eachother. Oh and they do have similar abilities
Fun Fact: "Lintik kayo" was originally "malintikan kayo" which meant "Get hit by lightning" since Lintik means "Lightning". It's a literal curse phrase but can also be used towards friends in a jokingly manner depending on the context.
THE WAY THAT HER LINES ALSO INTERGRATE WITH HER BACKSTORY "My lola would be proud" or something along those lines, IS PROBABLY THE BIGGEST HINT OF LORE IN HER LINES
That's the equivalent of saying that sovas voice line "My babushka told me not to brag. But for this I make an exception" is deep and provides insight into sovas lore

The voice direction's great. They gave her an accent enough to switch between Filipino and English naturally, but not too strong to the point of being stereotypical. In the Philippines, we have an english accent that sorta developed a stigma similar to the valley girl accent. They managed to avoid it with Neon, so good job from the voice director and actress~
I agree. Though personally I think that a few of the lines feel too thick. Not of the accent, but it feels monotone and the emotion just feels both empty and aggressive at the same time. Not a big deal of course but just something I noticed.
@@kasukiii8848 i think that’s a bit of her character in a way. she seems to avoid being emotional based on some her lines commending the other agents and saying things like “i don’t want to make new friends.” so that’s probably what they were trying to go for with the lines
@@glorifiedtoasterwithlegs2294 in separate voicelines tho she addresses her grandma as “lola” so i think in this case it could really be her nanay (unless she calls her both)
@@Endokuu it depends on preference for ex if you grew up with your grandma you would either call her "lola" or Nanay/nay then if that happens you would call your mother "mama" ,"mommy" or ma to differentiate them
When she asked Astra how she could travel to other worlds in theory you cant help but see that there is SOME link between Neon and Zeri, and not just bc of the lightning
Also hope we could get something like Yoru's "kuso" while clutch-defusing spike. Maybe she'd say something like "Punyeta!" (Shit!) or maybe just like "Konti na lang -- please!" [Just a little bit more (time) -- please!] seems in line with her character

the question marks in around 3:34 is actually "Tabla tayo," which means "We're tied." So it should be her voice line if both teams have the same score.
2:37 do you guys know which Viper's voiceline is she replying to? There's this internationally published novel called "Arsenic and Adobo" that I've read recently which was written by a Filipino author. I thought its a good coincidence since Neon mentioned the dish "Adobo" to Viper, who happen to have poison related abilities (arsenic is known for being in pesticides and rat poison).

Honestly, the voice lines pretty okay. But you know what would make it great? Instead of "Alis" which means get out it should be, "Tabi/Tabe" which is short for tumabi ka or move to the side. And "That was their best, diba? Not impressed" should be replaced with, "yun na yun? Not impressed" which basically implies the same meaning, but more toxic.. Filipino style.

@3:28 "lintik kayo" is not "you assholes." Lintik means lightning and it's roughly used as "I hope you get struck by lightning". which in the context of Neon makes a lot of sense.
I don't play valorant but I find this amazing. I think this is the first time I don't feel cringey for a character speaking tagalog on a video game. The voice lines are very "legitimate" and seems not forced just to inject some Filipino elements on the game. Lupet nito haha.

I like how the devs gave her little details in her voice. Like when she says jett is all speed I can relate becoz in lower elo they just use the updraft and dash. While neon gonna take skills man

OK so from what I have heard Neon and Zeri (from League of Legend) are likely the same, dunno if they are the same but she manage to travel from valorant to runeterra or if it's another double. Anyway they both have the same look same VA same abilities and even some same voiceline (I belong here f.i. which can be a hint btw), I'm super hyped if they're going to do an event with the world of valorant and runeterra (which can happen as ruination extended to valorant)
League of Legends exists as a game in the world of Valorant. Meaning that Runeterra exists as a FICTIONAL world in the Valorant Universe. As proof of KJ showing off her setup, and literally recording herself being hyped for Arcane. A crossover sounds good for an event, but it will ruin the whole thing. The Ruination skin bundle in Valorant only exists as skins because of The Ruination event. A big *EVENT* for all of Riot's online competitive games. Zeri & Neon look very similar, share the same VA, and has electric powers. *BUT* it does not mean that they're both the same person jumping from universe to universe.
The fact that LoL exists in Valorant means nothing.The only thing it would mean is that if Zeri and Neon are the same person then LoL is officially an Isekai.
