The light filtering shades have various degrees of room darkening based on the color you select. The lightest colored fabrics allow quite a bit of light into the room. Whereas the darkest colored fabrics block almost all of it. The line also offers room darkening fabrics which allow no light through the fabric, but a little comes around the edge of the panels. @@PaulKempler It does pose a problem when it is a 2 inch gap and it can been seen. I was told in the buying process that there would be no gap.

@@VegasSlotsVP Helen, I’m sorry you didn’t have the full details from whomever you purchased the product from. The gap is there when the shade is in the sheer position, but when you rotate the vanes the gap disappears. I would contact the company that you bought the SmartDrape from and allow them to try to find a solution. I’ve shot multiple videos showing the gap and I’m sorry for you that the dealer didn’t fully explain it. I am not the manufacturer. @@PaulKempler Thank you for responding! She is trying to find a 'fix'. I am hoping that she and someone at Norman figures this out. I cannot be the only consumer that was shocked by a 2 inch gap. Norman needs to redesign the rail to not do this. Otherwise I love the Smart Blinds.
