What do you think of the LED headlights and new ambient lights?! Here's the full review: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--uUwo22F4HY.html
As a long-time Lexus owner, I'm really happy to see that their engineers and designers have finally caught up with the rest of the upscale auto market in the use and functionality of the lighting systems.
Good to see, Lexus is finally stepping up their game in terms of great interior and exterior lighting to keep up with the competition. Great review as always. Thanks man
Thank you for this review. I think you’re the only auto journalist that does nighttime lighting reviews and it’s much appreciated. It’s the second most important feature to me when buying a vehicle.
I had very high expectations for the NX’s lights. Those expectations have been met. The only exception is the adaptive headlight feature. There is no side to side rotation… but they illuminate such a wide path that it might not be missed. I am not sure I understand the auto leveling feature. Is that only when towing? Because when going over small hills in the road, the light did not seem to stay at the horizon line. The new NX looks like a good choice for me if I can afford it. Thanks. Keep up the good work.
I know that's crazy to me that there is no side to side AFS system. My wife's 18' NX has active curve AFS triple beam head lights so as you turn the steering wheel the headlights turn left and right. It really is nice. I'm really surprized they took this feature OUT of the new NX after all the upgrade they've done to it. Really is kinda ming boggling why they would do that when other Lexus models still have and use active curve.
my 2014 prius has auto leveling headlights but then only adjust the up and down beam when weight is added to the back seats or trunk. To test this I started the car, headlights on and pointed at the garage door and then I had 2 family members sit on the trunk. When turned the headlights off then back on the beam lowered. This auto leveling system appears to be used just to reduce glare and improve visibility with added cargo and passengers.
I am glad you did the 2022 nx night time drive. It gave me a great view of what it looks like. I may get the BI Led light and wonder if it performs as as well as the triple LED here
Does it have lights in the door, which shine on the street, when you open the door? Like those lights some cars have with a manufacturer’s logo? I really like the car. Only downside is still the not fully digital dashboard screen. All cars of this price range should have a full digital dashboard, I think. The new Toyota’s do.
I like the ambient lighting in LEXUS LS 500H than from other models of LEXUS.....It is so close to the Japanese Culture and Takumi Craftmanship......That Warm illumination is a feel good factor.....✨️✨️❤️❤️This is also good.......❤️❤️
Great video! btw does it have the blindspot detection thing? like if a car comes beside you and you accidentally want to switch lanes, are there any alerts or signals?
I was going to lease a 2022 LS500AWD but after seeing the new technology in the NX , I'll wait for the next generation LS. I'm sure it'll like this times 10. Good to have something to look forward to in 2023.
Great vid! I appreciate you showcasing all the details @night. Can you adjust the brightness of the touchscreen independently of the rest of the illuminated controls? I currently have ‘20 NX and it’s a complete snore compared to this “mostly all new” model.
Did the ambient light dim when you put it into drive? If so are you able to change that in the settings so that the ambient light stays bright? Lexus ambient lights on other cars always dim in drive. Gets so dim you can’t even see it. I hope this car isn’t the same
I had an IS350 with the headlights that would swivel when I turned the car. The normal beam is much wider on this NX, I don't see the need to have the headlights swivel. Lexus probably felt the same way.
Hy. Interesting Test, but What about de Adaptative Function? I expected You to Show how develops the New Design and feature Lexus With Leds lights in this Nx. It seems like are Disconnected or Dissabled during yout test. Only changing Low Beams to High Beams... aren't them Matrix or Adaptative in that Nx versión? Thanks vert Much.
I bought NX 450 + Prestige TOP line , or exactly I ordered, cos here in Czech republic from Japan is taken 8 month´s at least, 71 700 Euro, I think that in USA in cheaper, good job , nice video
@@PrimeAutotainment if it’s a limited or platinum trim you should compare it to the Lexus RX L, because the sienna in high end trims offer more luxury features than the RX L does
Why does lexus lack in interior ambient lighting? I love lexus but come on, just a dim strip of light in the door? A little bit disappointing. The exterior is gorgeous though.
Tanya can you change the screen to a darker screen with light letters in the day time? I see Nolan can do this at night. Or does it change automatically?
probs a stupid question but whats the light for (refering to 9:26) when you turn the blinker on? the 21 nx has it too not sure what its useful for though?
You need to cover the Lincoln Corsair & Nautilus’ ambient lighting bc they have great interior ambient lighting as well. Same thing with the the now discontinued Continental, the 2017 onwards MKZ, & even the 2016-2018 MKX (before it got its first refresh & got renamed to Nautilus)
A huge ......huge Lexus ES 300h fan from India...... my dream car..... I don't know when I am drive my dream car, Only my wish once I need to be drive my dream, I have no money to buy my dream car....... Lexus ES 300 h 💕💕💕💕💕💘💘
This new NX is really good, but don’t know what Lexus’s been doing, took them so long to deliver, so far no one has received the car, so sad about this.
Traded 2018 f3 for 2021 Tesla m3. While fit and finish is excellent, Lexus IS in big trouble. ICE and all hybrid configurations are soon to be obsolete.
Just took delivery of a LX600 luxury trim. The ambient lights are a joke. Brightness is OK if you want to sit in your car in park and stare at them. Shift it to drive and the ambient lights basically disappear completely. I even have them set to max brightness. Anyone looking at Lexus ambient lighting, make sure to lower your expectations….
it looks good but i cannot understand why Lexus dont go with the whole new design. this simply looks Mazda CX series SUV's from most angles. They should look at what BMW and Merc have done to thier X and GL series. Lexus need to make more stylish and beefy SUV in the compact segment.
@@naveenthemachine lexus is always the slowest to have new update. Honestly, a lot of lexus clients including me are thinking of switching to something else.
@@GuuiYae tbh Toyota is updating their models faster than Lexus. So I’d suggest getting a Toyota in its top end trim. If you’re looking for a CUV the venza is more luxurious inside than the nx lol
@@naveenthemachine that’s what i have been thinking too. Same technology same comfort, why pay more for brand name. I have 3 lexus rx including my current one 450h 2020, always disappointed. I think i’ll go for highlander.
