Indeed, this Brass version is much nicer (in terms of quality, sound and performance) than the previous ROTS SkinnyFlex you reviewed. However, I am fairly certain that both will pale in comparison to the 89 Sabers version. I am looking forward to seeing that 89 Sabers review when you receive it in the post. Thank you for sending me the link to this (updated) video here so I can draw informative comparisons. Take care, mate. Cheers! 👋 Giovanni Marino, M.D.🇬🇧🇮🇹
Been watching your videos for the past 2 months or so and they are by far my favorite reviews and inputs on Lightsabers, as well as your passion for the franchise. Thank you and keep up the good work!
Great review, dude. You've been getting better with each one you do. From the intro to the cameras and everything in between. I can tell you really like doing these.
@@TheCollectorsOutpostHey John, I wanted to ask you a question about Proffie boards. Do you know how to load sound fonts onto Proffie?? I watched absolutesabers video on it because he seems to be the primary source to go to. The issue is that I've never coded or did any kind of computer programming. There may be certain nuances about it that he doesn't discuss. Plus, and according to what I've read, you can ruin your computer and your saber if you don't know what your doing. If I may ask you, if you wanted to load sounds on a Proffie board, so you know of any good sources that would do it for a commission?? Of course, what I would like, is that someone create a STEP-BY-STEP guide on how to do it, then publish it! This way, I could buy it and essentially teach myself how to do it. Anyway, I was just curious about your experience with Proffie boards. Thanks man.
Just received this saber from Vader’s Sabers with the GHv3 yesterday. I’m extremely impressed. You’re not lying this has some weight (er..I mean quality) to it. This is my first lightsaber. And it’s exactly how I imagined a lightsaber would feel in the hand. However It comes with very generic fonts. And I found after I ordered it that it will void the warranty to add more on a Golden harvest. It doesn’t appear to be an issue with the other sound boards though. Kinda bummed about that. I guess I’ll tolerate it until it lapses because everything else is just so fantastic. Also it shipped to my door from China in 6 days from the date of order. Only took a little over 24 hours shipping. Great job Vader’s sabers!
@@nicksouthwell9393 they must have only a few left in stock cuz that manufacturer don’t ship Ghv3 any more. My favorite board! But yea the GHv3 comes with its own unique pack of fonts. I always delete them and install my own fonts tho.
You don't slide the SD Card out! The way you get the SD card out is that the metal panel on it slides up towards the top of the SD card just a little bit & then it folds open. Then you can just take the SD Card out without having to slide it. You only have to slide it about a millimeter or two to get the metal panel lock place or unlock. The SD Card just lays on the board, so it can be kinda hard to get the panel to slide back over it with everything so small. Hope this helps!
I’m glad I found this video out of the many on RU-vid. I successfully snagged this beautiful lightsaber and it completes my Anakin Skywalker cosplay just in time for Halloween. That extra weight definitely gives it that oomph. Been showing my friends your vid before my lightsaber came in the pure excitement for it. Keep up the good work my guy!
They have in fact upgraded their removable chassis design already since this video. I got a hilt with an removable SNv4 chassis about a month ago, and there's a nice little cutout big enough to fit a whole fingertip in if needed (although I just use tweezers). There was indeed also a firmware update in mid-October that fixed accent swings, as well as enabling some post-sounds (i.e. endlock, enddrag, etc.) if your font has them. They also released a new Force Park V2 on iOS, and a new app entirely on Android (just shows up as "Lightsaber" on my phone). I hear the new iOS version is a major downgrade, but I'm on Android, and the Android one definitely improved my connection issues compared to the original Force Park app. Not nearly as flexible as a Proffieboard, but I genuinely think that with the ability to blend and combine blade effects to emulate complex Proffie bladestyles (albeit, not as well as Proffie), it's definitely a really solid choice if you don't want to learn how to use Arduino and write a config and all that jazz.
07:45 You can simply remove the battery then push the board gently from the bottom upwards so the sd card can be easier removed. Works for all my SN-Pixel Sabers with this chassies design.
Ngl I would love a heavy saber! Like in the clone wars Padme literally said "It's heavier than I expected." When Anakin gave Padme his lightsaber. I want to feel like I'm actually holding a lightsaber, not some toy.
Brightness mostly comes down the the type of blade not the core. Show blades are thin walls so they are brighter. 7/8 blades are thinner so they are brighter. KR blade have brighter LEDS over all and then you have much higher end blades like tri star and quad star blade that have more stripes of LEDS inside but come with a have price tag.
Great review! This will probably be my next saber. Could you confirm whether or not the SNV4 has the multi blast feature? Both my Proffie and GHV3 have multi blast. This is a deal breaker for me. I want to get the SNV4 to save some money but if it doesn't have multi blast I'm going to go with the GHV3. I'd appreciate any feedback. Keep up the great work!
I want the Anakin lightsaber like this so bad, but they’re so expensive everywhere but there is one on Damiensaber that’s $285 with a discount code you can redeem that’s $24 off so $261!! that’s the cheapest I’m ever gonna see that lightsaber, sadly I don’t have money for it.. the only Anakin saber I have is the 2005 master replicas Force FX Saber that’s taken apart to convert into a neopixel or baselit or both 🤷🏻♂️ but that’s still gonna be expensive plus I don’t know how to do it 😅 soooo I’m basically useless 😂
Would you be interested in selling the previous version? I’d really like to get my hands on that hilt style but I’m not a huge fan of the brass heaviness
I have a question, I have this light saber and it’s awesome, but I’m trying to remove the battery from the slot but it is so stubborn and I don’t wanna break anything, I have the Golden harvest v3 board.. do you know how to remove the battery safely? I’m trying to add new fonts to the SD card and was told that the battery should be removed first.
@@TheCollectorsOutpost yeah it is lol, is there a specific spot on the other side that I should aim for for better success of getting it out? Sorry if that sounds like a dumb question lol
Have you noticed the ignitions are a little slower than how a lightsaber should be? Do you know if there is any way to adjust the speed of the ignition?
I’m thinking of getting either this Anakin lightsaber or 89 light saber but the 89 Labers almost double the price is the 89 saber worth it or just stick with this one?
I truly dont think the 89 version. Will be any better than this. I have a bunch of 89 sabers and some a better but this is such a simple design that I haven’t seen any other version look any better. It’s basically a tube with grips and a control box.
@@TheCollectorsOutpostthey look amazing! The lighting is the perfect brightness/color and elevates them perfectly. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply.
Hey John! So I got this in the proffie version was wondering from a professional if I could take out the battery itself and put it in one of those charger holder boxes you can get at a smoke shop ?
I always hate how to covertec never seems to line up correctly. You would think with as much as we are spending on these sabers empty or not, they would put more attention to that...
You need timing shims. Threading, if just a hair off can throw everything off. I have Lightsabers that cost two or three times this price that you have to put timing shims in. Really not a big deal but I totally get it. Kind of crappy when you pay so much for something and it’s just a little off but many items with Threads besides light sabers have to use timing shims. It’s a bummer.
Does it have a one or two button system ? Like can u turn it off with one klick or do you have to hold the button for multiple seconds like the LGT version ? Thanks for your help 😁
@@TheCollectorsOutpost thank you for the fast reply, this is gonna be my first lightsaber. And thank you for making great content like this, i follow you on youtube for a while now and i love your work! 🔥🔥
What kind of core does it have? Also I already have a custom xenopixel lightsaber from imperial workshop, does that app work with any lightsaber or does it have to be compatible?
Hello There, i do run into some issues. I can't make the App (iOS) work properly. There are just some of the Funktions are working. The Volume, the Color throu the Palette. Every Thing else isn't working. Power On/Off for Example. But i have seen it in all the Videos it's working but how. Do i have to upgrade the Firmware off the Saber? The App does have the latest version. Where do i get the latest SN v4 Firmware? Any Help would be Great Thanks 🙂
@@TheCollectorsOutpost Hey Thanks Mate, i just had some Conntact with the guys over at Vaders Sabers. It Seems like the Bluetooth is acting up. Im using an iPhone 12 and it ist not Connecting Properly. Restarting the Phone and removing the Battery from the Saber did not help . If im Using my Old iPad Air 2 it's Working just fine. May i ask what iPhone you are using?
I'm liking this upgrade/revision of the RotS Anakin hilt. I'm not a fan of the phone app, but the way the effects work for this is very nice. The Ahsoka series is to me, really quite good. This is how Disney should have started off with, instead of the sequel movies. I really was overjoyed to see Clone Wars era Anakin and Ahsoka. They did a fine job of it to me.
Side note: Vaders Sabers finally shipped my Sabine Wren hilt - - from China. I'm guessing it had to be built and shipped direct. Can't wait to get it next week and compare it to my UW Ezra hilt. I'm thinking the removable parts will swap between the 2 hilts, although to VS hilt is 7/8 while the UW uses 1 inch diameter blades.
@@TheCollectorsOutpost I hear ya. My tracking is showing probable tomorrow delivery. I really need to do some reviews again, because I've received some really nice lightsabers in the last couple years.
@@TheCollectorsOutpost I was gonna go with the GHv3 cause it seems easier but I want a real good blade flicker so I might just go with proffie now and learn how to code then
@@Deadweird626 so FYI one thing I have noticed recently with Proffie that come from these manufacturers is that they don’t come with the config files or the Arduino files that are needed for coding. From what I understand these files are really needed to code it so I’m guessing a full new custom one would have to be made. At least that’s what I understand. I’m not a Proffie guy tho so that would have to be confirmed.
@@TheCollectorsOutpost okay good to know I mean there’s videos out there somewhere on how to do it right ? lol but also it comes loaded with the anakin sound fonts and what not already off drop right ?
