Welcome to Hearthstone! In this video I go over tips and info aimed at returning or beginner players to help get them into the swing of things. This video presumes basic knowledge of how to play, and instead goes over some of the features and changes the game has had in recent years. First, I discuss new social and quality of life features like changes to packs, crafting cards, and sharing decks. Then I go over what gameplay looks like now with the current card pool, new class and card types, and what a card in today's meta looks like. Lastly, I dive into the progression systems and rewards, detailing class rewards, achievements, and earning gold and packs.

Some minor corrections/additions: * With the addition of the new game modes, the main menu was revamped. All "traditional" hearthstone modes (ranked, wild, casual... except Arena), are in the "Hearthstone" option. There is an icon in the top right where you can check/change mode * Commons and rares also have duplicate protection, so you get all the commons in around 30 packs, and all rares in about 60 packs * The mini-set usually releases about 2 months after the set (not 1 month) * The rewards path is the "rewards track", the premium one is the "tavern pass"

After returning from a long break (damn near a 4 year break) it’s so nice to see how far this game has come. I can have so much fun and actually get rewarded well for my play time now. I wonder if it’s because Ben Brode left. I dunno. But been having a blast past week since returning and picking up BG again. Can’t wait to jump back into ladder. Thank you for this video！

A good video, specially for returning players, not so much for new. The "what's good right now" might age bad, but the rest will be useful info during a long time for them. Very well edited. Hope it will have more visibility.

Thanks! Yeah I think it can be helpful for new players but only ones who already have a good understanding of the game. I may make a true new players guide at some point, maybe after next rotation.

Thanks. I returned today to see I missed like 7 expansions. Getting like 50 free cards after logging in was new to me. Definitely more free to play friendly for sure. The card shop still confuses me

It's not new, they've always had big returning player rewards, usually designed in a way to try to keep you hooked, It's not really worth trying to farm the returning player rewards though

@@selfactualizer2099 I returned plenty of times and never got that many free cards before. Usually it's like 4 packs. I got over 50 free cards and 10 packs

@@sadduck12 arena has a better interface but worse economy and less formats, mtg online has better economy and all the formats. By economy I mean in mtgo you pay real money for the cards and you keep them, also you can sell them. In arena you have an in-game currency that gets you any card of the same rarity for the same price, which many times is unfair.

To my knowledge to finish apprenticeship, you just need to keep playing until you progress out of those ranks and hit level 25 on your account. I've seen some people have issues still being stuck in it, and if that's the case, you should reach out to Blizzard support.
