I’ve been using this as one of my main office fragrances due to its durability, longevity and inoffensiveness. It’s a fresh, powdery scent with a silage that comes and goes based on my skin temp. It’s extra mild and never overbearing. Perfect for when you want people to think you’re clean, but not specifically remember the scent. I will occasionally layer it w/a variety other fragrances when I want to add some funk.
I have it. Anything more than 1 spray yields an overwhelming Tonka bean mid that takes over any additional nuance. The opening while great is very short-lived. The dry down is really good once the Tonka bean subsides showing the mild spice you speak of, but at that point it’s essentially a skin scent. I like it, but am disappointed at the same time.
Dont be a sissy sprayer, why are you disappointed, what were you expecting ? Its what Armani Code OG used to smell like yrs back before they reformulated it 10 times. Its nothing ground breaking a d never was going to be, but its a head turner from the women and gives you a clean quality scent for the day.
My new favorite fragrance. This is interesting. At first it seems weak. As it grows on you you realize how beast mode it is. It projects great, and lasts insanely long. At first I thought it was weak and didn't last long, but quickly learned that's not the case.
Parfums people think will be these massive projecting beasts, not always the case and actually very rarely is, i always go the edp in 99% of frags I own, but this is a great classy scent Armani always are, i tried it last week and could still smell it in my clothes the next day and sat on skin for over 8hrs, depending on what you are doing, it always drops a wiff here and there, so got a 75ml bottle yest and in Australia nothing in the big hitters , is ever really any cheaper, so 75ml it was $185 AUD so not cheap but its a great frag its how Code used to smell with a bit of a twist, but Parfums are not always the big projecting hence for me petsonally the Edps in most lines are the better option, i have the Code edp and they are very similar, but the edp hss more vanilla, which is nice, so all in al imo i think this is very good but just on the pricey side, but its more of a say 30yrs and older scent, younger go with the edt etc, but this is a quality scent.
It's a classic Armani Code has prob been in everyone's collection at some point, I have about 10ml left from a bottle of the OG that's about 14 yrs old, which the OG now is just a shell of what it used too be, so when they brang the EDP out had to get it and too me that was what the OG used to be like until Armani added WATER to the EDT and made it Lolly Water but when this came out had to get it and compared with the EDP they are much the same the difference being the Parfum has Iris in it which I love anything with IRIS I love that note, I've also learnt over the past 3 yrs since I got back into Collecting that the Iris note can be done in so many ways, the best Iris line for me is the Givenchy Gentleman Line, very under rated line but my first Iris frag was the Boise and I was hooked, then DHI which is a masterpiece, today my SOTD today is Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Prive mmmm can't get enough. But if all the Armani Code flankers I like the Profumo the best I actually just sprayed a bit on top and smells great
Hello Steven I hope you're having a good day. I just ordered a bottle of this and I'm very interested in how the notes of this fragrance play out. Thanks for the review as always!
I've got this a month or so now, I love the scent, it's beautiful, however it is a very mellow, light scent, really mild projection... It is a very smooth, powdery scent.... Certainly not a powerhouse, it's a subtle skin scent type fragrance! I really like it but I wish it was stronger
the bottle is different. I had the 1st Code (known at that time Black Code) superb frag with incredible longevity & sillage, was a compliment getter, then bought the same frag but this time renamed Code in the 2000s, a bit watered down. Then i bought Profumo, which is a fantastic frag. will definitely try this one once it hit the shelf in my Country
Hello from Bucharest, Romania! Nice review, I have just ordered this new Armani Code Parfum, I have already smelled it in a perfumery shop, it smells so nice, definetely it is a cologne for spring time, evenings, cold weather, less for the summer time, today, I have decided to buy it. Do you think it could also be worn for clubbing?
Armani has the EDP half-off this weekend. Hard to justify the Parfum when EDP is so inexpensive. I don't see much difference to warrant the high cost of Parfum.
I agree. The only major difference I noticed is that the parfum doesn't have as much of an alcohol smell when it's first sprayed unlike the 2020 release of the EDP. The parfum is much smoother early on but by the time you get to the mids and dry down I don't see much of a difference.
Great review, Steven! Hope you are doing well. Love watching your content! Should I get a good price on the original, or branch out, and get the Parfum? Jesus loves you, my friend!!!
Dont buy the modern edt its lolly water, go with the Edp if anything, also you have Absolu but hard to find as will be discounted or Perfumo which is great aswell. But this is a great scent , tried it last week and bought a bottle yest its on the pricey side especially in Aust a 75ml bottle cost me $185 AUD. So not cheap but its worth the money, its classy its not a room choker gives a good 2 hrs of projection then dials back but sits on skin for 8hrs plus but spray on clothes thats the best carrier for really any fragrance.
I’ve had this a few months. The opening is amazing, but fades within an hour. It’s very close to the skin thereafter. I love this, but wish the performance was better.
Prob waiting to see if Chanel does Bleu De Chanel Elixir, but nothing will beat Dior Sauvage Elixir, thats its own frag, they didnt even need to use the Sauvage name, they could have just called it Dior Elixir as if you have smelt Sauvage tge Elixir is in a totally different ball park.
Just smelled it last Saturday. First reaction: Is that it? Nothing in the Code line beats Ultimate. If you are looking for a fresher kind of Iris, Narciso Rodriguez Bleu Noir Parfum is amazing. Not this.
