Never lose your authenticity. You’re going to boom soon and I hope you don’t fall down that path of appeasement that other RU-vid fragrance channels go down.
Somehow the tonka and cedar makes it smell like leather to me. I'm not sure how to describe it but yeah it is almost like leather, musky cedar, and iris. It smells like a corporate 40 something, it's extremely professional, upright, straight spined, and distinguished. It smells very versatile too, like I can see this working for a wedding, a corporate boardroom meeting, and a date. Some people might call it like a very basic but distinguished designer, well blended but just the usual kind of thing you can expect from YSL, Armani, Prada, Dolce and Gabbana, Dior. I definitely don't see it as effervescent and romantic as much as I imagine a man standing straight as a board, waiting for a flight, two hours later he's in a hotel room unpacking his clothes and neatly folding them and putting them in the hotel room drawers for the weekend, maybe in his underwear at 11:30pm as he's seeing if there's anything to watch before falling asleep when he's finished getting ready for the presentation. That's just my mental image though, very hotel room to me, very dark and heavy. Actually you know what it smells like and compliments to me, is Man in Black by Bulgari. This smells like the professional day wear at work to the romantic night of MIB. It is so good. Iris is definitely an underrated and very mmm eccentric we'll call it type of note for a man. Mixed in woods and leather, ambery and spicy notes adds a sort of classiness I adore.
Incredible content as always. Picked this one up recently and it's my favourite designer already. I think it's beautiful, masculine and refreshingly long lasting for a designer!
Fantastic review. I sniffed this at the airport a month ago and yeah it is addictive and mass appealing. Its more edp than parfum concentration to me, and an average edp at that
Aaron is the only RU-vidr where I have no Idea the terms he's using but I understand completely. Looking forward to pick up some stuff off your site. Save me a bottle.
Hey Aaron! I absolutely love and enjoy your style of reviews. Could you please do a review on valentino’s yellow dream for him sometime? I’m conteplanting on buying it. Thanks!
I would like to smell it and test it and see if I like it and if I do then I'll probably end up buy me a bottle but at this moment I don't want to buy it without trying it first, great video Aaron and my scent of the day is Viktor and Rolf spice bomb infrared
Keep it up Aaron, your video are like many said calm 👍which are entertaining for watching and at the same times learning more about perfume’s jungles in the whole world ! And one more thing’s to you remind you. You suit more with a short hair 🥳
Hey Aaron I'm 48 years old and I love this fragrance I just wore it the other day but I don't wear it a lot because I have a huge collection But it is one of the fragrances that I like to just grab and spray and go
I love Code Parfum. It’s sneaky amazing. It seems basic and linear at first… but get a whiff at night outdoors… ANY season… it gets more intoxicating with heavier applications. I just wish it was 10% darker… it has Luna Rossa Black vibes I wish were played up a bit more… Refillable is almost useless. I usually get a couple years out of a 4.2oz
This parfum-version is definitely a parfum version! The quality of the drydown is outstanding when asking ability to it's longevity, projection and staying alive! Super, staying More than two days!😊😊. Your positive critics for this is delightful and justified compared to Sebastians, he said in his review this is not a Parfum-consentration, just because this Armani has not the "umph" coming, like Dior Homme Parfum has while sniffing it in the beginning!😊????
Hi Aaron, thanks for proffesional reviews,I watched many of them and they are very helpfull for me. Can you give me any advice please? I have very low projection with Armani Code. I have ginger hair and bright skin, is there anything what could help my skin to project Armani Code better please?
As always, a great review. I bought Armani Code Absolu based on your 10/10 review and I think it's absolutely wonderful. Since I already have Absolu, I don't feel I need to purchase this but am very happy with Absolu!
Do you currently have or will you be doing anything similar to notorious with your new rebrand, bought one bottle and simply not enough for how much I want to wear it
Hello Aaron. I have question about longetivity or performance of short lasting perfumes like Acqua di Gio edt or The One edt. Is it only because of price, or they can just put 2x more perfume into it, or you have to change "of perfume reciept" because it doesn't work "just put 2x more of every ingredient of perfume" and have double of longetivity.
I’ve used the Armani code for her for years, until it was discontinued. I noticed this line doesn’t have any female version of this perfume line. Anyone knows why? 🧐
These refillable bottles I’m unsure they’re all that much better for the environment. I don’t know how many bother and the refill bottles are just another thing to throw away. I like the way Louis Vuitton fragrances are refillable in-store with a perfume fountain. I’ve seen Mugler perfume fountains in stores like Nordstrom. Kind of inconvenient in that you can’t do it yourself, but better in the long run because the waste from the perfume fountain has to be really minimal because of the bulk containers they use. Kilian sells refills too, and a lot of people buy refills instead of the regular presentation because it’s cheaper. No atomizer, though.
Loved the opening in the edt. But longvity was poor. When I tried the parfum I hoped it would be similar, but it’s not. And I found it quite boring because of the lack of depth. It might be a safe choice, but I expected more.
Aaron love your content! Apart from fragrance topics, I think I am not the only person who would love to hear more about your skin care routine - I think you mentioned you have been preparing your own cosmetics for a long time, would love to hear more about that! What ingredients and formulations are worth spending money on etc.
I learned lot of things about british English. Chemistry. Parfums. I got also therapy while watching your review's . I also do the hand gestures when i smell something i love 👋🤌👉🙏👍😊
To me I'd rate it at least at 8.5 I guess it is maybe "boring" in a way that many mainstream designer scents are with very well blended and not super complicated nor its own symphony of accords, it just does its thing with one top note level settling into the bottom notes as a gentle glide and without demanding too much refinement of the nose. Idk I'm not a professional at this, I just think that it is a very elegant, classy, and almost, hmm like a heavily embossed minimalism, complexity in minimalism almost. It is very heavy bodied and just makes a serious statement to me but without being overbearing or pretentious the way many other colognes can be. I find it similar to Man in Black, which is maybe my favourite cologne right now, so there's that. Kinda like MIB but without all the nuances and complexities or spiciness of MIB, it's like the straight shooter corporate guy version of the deeply mysterious rainy night of MIB. Of course listening to what Aaron has to say first, since there's a thing to be said for a critic's review who's actually the composer, as opposed to someone who's merely the consumer, so Aaron is picking up on things only a perfumer would.
Aaron just got smoulder not to long ago and I loved it from first wearing it is awesome I know it's not official notes but I am picking up honey, cinnamon and cade off of my skin plus that delicious tabbaco, you need to try memo Iberian leather I think you'll be suprised
@@James7995 smoulder is actually very close only a few differences the dry down is pretty much spot on like a creamy nuttiness coming from that signature musk
I did not test this fragrance yet, but black code was my signature scent back in 2008-2012, I remember rocking that smell. I wonder, is it sharing a similar DNA to 2000s black code, if anyone remembers?
I think this might be the best airplane travel fragrance on the market. If you need to travel on a plane nothing is better. It won’t bother the person sitting next to you, it smells fresh. Perfect for airplane travel.
Very very disappointed and sad that Armani discontinued Armani Code Profumo, IMO it was the best release from the house 👌i know ADG line is their best selling line, but still i have no idea why they discontinued Code Profumo 💡🤔🥺
You can still get profumo I feel you I was so disappointed when they discontinued profumo and absolu. I just ordered me a bottle of absolu and I'm getting ready to order profumo
Aaron when will your website be up an running ,iam wanting to buy your oud for quite some time now ,i already have oxitocin daddy an luna,i just need oud now,an then il leave you alone for a while
People who get offended at the term oriental need to get over themselves. The orient is a part of the world, and oriental fragrances are meant to smell like that area. They need to stop finding reasons to be offended for others who could care less.
