Hey all, i just wanna let you all know that my thoughts or opinions regarding this game as well as the i-frame comment is not coming from a souls enjoyer. Despite having a somewhat decent amount of hours in those games it is not the only thing i did hitless on or dedicated my time on. I'm actually a variety runner, at the point of this comment I have 96 Single segment no hit runs, 1 title each across many genres, difficulties and length so when i speak about i-frames i dont think every game should have it, I actually think in some way it can be a lazy approach depending on the design choice or philosophy, but when a dev chooses not to use it then it means they have to be more creative on how the challenge is presented to the player in a way that feels rewarding to overcome, fair as well as engaging. I do hope this game is successful, fast pace mech along with space cowboy is one of my favorite fantasy themes so im looking forward to it. if you want to do a hitless run tip 1 finish the game first get all parts, ALL PARTS because remember you need to know how to synergize your build with the mission before you, then you start styling remember your aim is to reach the objective in record time the small fries are optional if you need the cash if you want to run arena hitless its easier but to unlock the arena fully you need to defeat everyone in the story first or maybe not there's still some vaguity in the wording and there's also a chance that like the old games they will unlock parts for you as well

Oh not at all, im actually approaching this game with a fresh mind. That said i do think that it’s a good thing that the devs took into account all their past experiences with previous products when approaching this entry of AC. I think there’s something good to be said about the overall gameplay feel of Fromsoft’s latest franchises that other games could learn from while not making it feel souls-like

@@iceman5117 All due respect. What the fuck are you on about? The focus is on fast-paced action with long range combat as the core. There's no dodge roll, there's no static builds. Heck, there's barely anything even resembling stamina. This is Armored Core, not a souls clone. If you're going to get stuck on "BUT FROM SOFT MADE IT AFTER TEN YEARS OF SOULS" then kindly exit the conversation.

I'll say this, if you can pull off even a few missions with no hit runs I will give you the respect you deserve for it. Given there are no I-Frames, and options to negate projectiles with bubble shields are limited, the lack of anti-missile systems shown so far? Yeah I think that and especially the 'shotgun' style bullet sprays on bosses would be the big problem for hitless. Edit: That being said, we haven't seen any hit-scan attacks that aren't telegraphed in any of the footage so far.

No i frames. The number of Dashes you have is based on you customization and what generator and booster you use.

"Going hitless" is nigh-on impossible in the AC games. There will always be something that deals some damage over the course of your missions, and guess what? That is not a problem in and of itself. Dodging exists to _minimize_ damage, rather than prevent it outright with I-Frames. You observe your enemies and dodge when you're at risk of taking a big hit. Your AP is not going to drop to zero dealing with small fries, but you nevertheless want to stay moving to prevent what damage you can. Not every mission will feel like a challenge with bosses and enemy ACs, and that's because the fact is, you're a mercenary. You take the jobs you're given, and you make what money you can so that when a challenge does come, you can be ready for it. The game has checkpoints, loadout swaps mid-mission, and repair kits akin to the Estus Flask (all things that have NEVER been a part of the franchise before), as well as deployable shields and other means of protection. You have more options than ever to keep yourself alive, but this also means they've created more ways for you to die. So long as you pay attention, and don't go in thinking treating this like "Dark Souls with Mechs" as many are tempted to do, you'll be fine. Find your own loadout to solve the problems you face in each mission, and you'll find the success that much more satisfying.

i dont believe a no hit run is possible is an ac game. theres just too much to dodge and most of the ac fights are dog fights where you are trading blows while trying to out maneuver each other. Looking at past ac missions, the zinaida fight, 2 nineballs and nineball seraph fight, and fighting 5 AC units at the same time, seems absolutely impossible.

It... might be possible, for an AI with a *lot* of training time, an exacting build and some luck in terms of attack choices from enemies. In some missions at least.

It is obvious you are not familiar with the Armored Core series or you would already know that all your commenting on is just one of the most elaborate tutorials Armored Core has ever introduced.....as a fan since the earliest games i can safely say you haven't seen anything yet..

yes AC has no i-frames how many times you can boost is dependent on the synergy with your core, your generator and your booster for AC6 your booster has a "reload" time to push a quick boost, the rules are different in 5th gen and its expansion you can boost as long as you stamina can take you, you can rhythm your quick boosts to generate more thrust for the same energy expended, the rules in 4th gen are radically more different you need to "pull" your quick boosts at the "right speed" to do 2nd stage boost likewise you gain more thrust for the same energy expended, you can however chain cancel your boost by boosting to another direction thats not using the same booster. Last Raven and below... you dont even have a proper access to quick boost so good luck running hitless with that not that its impossible some guy ran all 75 missions of last raven hitless each with a different build you want a Miyazaki AC? well look no further AC4 and for Answer were the AC games he debuted as a director entries if you want to go further Last Raven where he was a planner and yes he was involved 25% of the way before he handed the torch he was principal director of AC6 before he gave it to yamamura so.... ueah.... let's just say it was very... different

@@heyblasty8614 At a guess, it is about the size changes AC's have had from generation to generation. The first 3 (So, Armored Core to Last Raven, which covers AC 2 and AC 3) were roughly on scale with the ones in 6. Gen 4 (Armored Core 4 and For Answer) were significantly bigger than that, head and shoulders taller and proportionally bigger. Gen 5 (Armored Core 5 and Verdict Day) were notably smaller than the ones in 6 seem to be. (They'd come up to roughly chest height I think.) But that's just my guess at Op's post.
