Ight yall, help a brotha out… so I got an Xmaxx and Losi DB pro, plus a few more but those two are my favorites. I’m wanting to add another 8S to the fleet. I’m torn between Kraton/XRT/Outcads and Losi DBLXE. I do moderate bashing, not sure if the DBLXE would hold up or not, plus parts are expensive af for them. My buddies got the XRT so I’d rather not get that one, even tho I’m thinking it’s the best. So I initially thought Kraton exb but now I’m considering the Outcast too. Didn’t like the shorter wheel base at first but been hearing a lot of ppl say they like it over the Kraton 🤷🏻♂️. If the DBXLE was as tough I’d def buy it for sho, the Fox one is my favorite looking RC cars of all time and I love Db Pro fox body I got too. I hear a lot of ppl complaining that the Kraton coats a lot of money to get up to par and the chassis bends, turnbuckles suck, diffs suck, etc. then I others love it lol. Typical for this sort of thing, a lot of fan boys out there. What’s y’all’s favorite? Looking for recommendations lol
Got a Dbxle 2.0 MAX4 560kv 12s It’s just ridiculous. Dangerous rig! Never had an 8s Kraton. Have a red 8s outcast that’s pretty cool. Upgrading it as it breaks (every run lol ). Love my 6s exb tho. This new exb rtr Kraton is just a good looking truck. Will be getting one.
I'm looking to get in to the big boys rc 1/5 scale, which one do you think is the better one to get in the sense of maintaining or get a traxxas xrt?? Im not a brand chaser, so I like all brands. Thanks.
I had the xrt, nice truck but my cost of ownership was about $1500 with esc, battery Tray etc of upgrades. My esc on the xrt blew up after two r Short run in two weeks. I had a few 1/5 8s outcast rtr and with a few changes that cost next to nothing it was a beast. Pinion gear, bump the punch up on esc and solid truck. This Kraton the the video is not mine, my friend just purchased it and I ran my dbxle 2.0 with his but I did purchase one and will do some running of it in a few days. In my opinion I’d would do the Kraton BUT I don’t know how this new Kraton RTR will do. So far it seems to be a beast. He changed the pinion gear and that was it. If it’s a better version from the rtr then it’s a definite winner over the xrt in my opinion.
Yeah bro. It seem to be a good rtr setup. Honestly I got rid of mine a few months ago and I picked this one up 🤦🏾♂️. I began to reduce my fleet and was in the process of buying back one of mine but I think dude did not want to let it go so I bought this guy lol.
@UDRC85 yea I picked up the exb outcast roller. I already upgraded the heck out of my 8s kraton. I cont justify buying a new one when my old one is already upgraded. But I love what they've done. They need to do a Typhon 8s exb...see I'd buy that tomorrow, lol
