Superb video; loved to see the details of the cut-out car and the in-town night shots. Also nice to see a different place to Sintra for the street part of the test (I reckon Aston is more responsible for that than Carfection is). Henry is, as usual, flawless. I hadn't even noticed the camper van before it was pointed out, must have been distracted with the review.

Upon arrival here in Calgary you've convinced me I need to make time to pop by the museum ... er ... dealership ... for a viewing. Reading before, betwixt and beyond your words I perceive a work of art wherein the whole exceeds the sum. Ok - lime green notwithstanding. BTW, there's a typo in the last sentence of your description; "Find out ... IF ... that AMG engine is worth all of the controversy". tn

Great review - awesome car. In the right colour combination this is a stunning car. Not a fan of the bright coloured lip and rear diffuser for example, but that’s all optional. Personally I think it looks brilliant. I wish AM all the best. They deserve it, their products have arguably never been better and they have such a broad range of cars now for such a small company from the continuation cars, amazing modern road cars and right up to the Vulcan and Valkyrie. Pretty damn impressive.

I woke up early and I am not disappointed. Henry pulled it off again.

Carfection is the pinnacle of car reviews. Really enjoyed this review. Not sure of that Miata looking front end; definitely looking forward to the face lift. It’s kind of lost that Aston prestige look and feel with those chav design colours and blacked out roof.

My favourite car reviewer (escapee from Evo) who's writings caused me to dig deep for a previous V8 Vantage last year may have just bludgeoned by wallet again! Wow - am I glad that the new Vantage was pulled off so intelligently by AM. Congratulations to AM for a great new lease of life to the Vantage name, and to Henry for another wonderful review.

The grill and headlights really ruin the look of the car for me. Such a shame as the last gen looked so good. Great video as always though.

Looks like a Corvette or front end of an MX5/Miata or a flattened front of 90's Supra. Doesn't look enough like an Aston. IMO.

The new Vantage is so beautiful that when I went to view one it took only a second to say I want you. Love at first sight. I bought it in Onyx Black.

Great review/film, Henry et al! As for the car, I’m sure I’d love driving it, but it’s just not hitting the mark in terms of Aston desirability for me. Perhaps their previous design language was around too long, making the change more difficult to accept?

If I have to be brutally honest I'd have the older Aston over this. Not sure exactly what it is, I'm sure this is better in about every aspect, but the old is, just a lovely thing!

Great review as always, Henry! I am just curious what are the direct competitors of this Vantage. It's funny how the MB 63 AMG S with basically the same engine and better looks (in my opinion) is almost twice as cheaper. I would think the Vantage is more of an AMG GT, Porsche GT3, Audi R8 competitor but it seems to me that all of them are slightly more interesting and make more sense than the V8 Vantage. I think the V12 version (if there is one) would make more sense and would sell more than the V8.

I thought the button on 4:18 was just a cover for a 12V socket. Maybe red so you can find it, since they tend to be lost on old cars.

I can't stop noticing the panel gaps after it being pointed out in another video. Guess I'll have to get it in black 😉.

The duck tail deck lid with the tail light integrated is incredible. It’s such a shame the front end looks so bland. The grill is fine but as you move up the car the body lines are too flat and blurred looking. It doesn’t really match the rear of the car at all. I hope this isn’t the over all design language for Aston Martin’s front ends across the line for the next 15 years like the last model lol.

Why are the headlights so damn small?
