Great vid, I actually just got my pair and I immediately switched out the soles cause boy these fuelcell soles are not comfortable, I put in some dr.sholls sore soles and these are amazing shoes, super light like I'm wearing a pair of outdoor socks, definitely recommend

Just received my pair of these but in the granite colourway and I was shocked at how light these are. Also these are so comfy, I work in retail so these will be perfect for me with me being up on my feet all day. I normally wear the NB fresh foam x more v4 and I think these are on another level even though the more V4,s are amazing. Would you do a comparison video between these 2. Love all your content and keep up the good work

Great vid! These look sick. I was hoping you could help me decide though. Between the 1080v13 and Rebel V4 - which would you pick if you were going to put in 20-30,00 steps or head to an amusement park? Looking for the best walking experience with the least amount of foot fatigue.

@@arifandahernawan2642 I actually have them both and both of them are very comfortable. Rebel v4 is more responsive making it a bit firmer. 1080v13 is more squishy. The upper mesh and tongue in 1080v13 is way better and more comfortable than rebel v4. 1080v13 is the best overall and most comfortable shoes in 2024 yet. Else, wait for SC trainer v3 and More v5 and then decide which one to choose but I can assure you that if you buy 1080v13 you won’t be disappointed.

And tbh what makes 1080v13 better the most is the insoles. I tried to swap the 1080v13 insoles to rebel v4 and it made the whole experience the same. But in general 1080v13 is more practical and comfortable for day to day usage.

Next level comfortable without being so soft i can't walk long distances. Softer and more comfortable than my UB, but i can also wear them for 4 mile walks without my feet getting tired or having them bottom out, they're amazing. Once they go on sale i'm grabbing another pair.

I have had mine for a bit, and I have 70 miles in mine now on my 10-mile walks plus I wear them casually as well, so they still feel like they are the same when I broke them out the box. I also bought the SC Elite v4 in this color, but I do not casual it because the squish is so much it makes my lower back hurt a bit but on my walks it's okay, I do like the Rebel v4s better in every way though for casual and my 10 mile walks, I will be buying another pair when I wear them out, and I am very, very excited for the SCT v3 to drop as well as the Balos and more v5 in August 2024, and praying they move the drop back lol. I just can't wait!!! I don't think I'll be buying the pacer as it doesn't have a thick enough midsole for my liking, but I may change my mind, the looks of this year's shoe are simply stunning!!!!!!!

I did try the elites next to the rebel v3 and imo and imo only I found the v3 rebel fuel cell compound to be ever so slightly softer underfoot. Haven’t tried the rebel v4 though.

A friend from NB sent these to me to run in recently and provide some feedback. And man…a Nike running shoe guy with love and respect to New Balance, but these rebel V4 here??? 😮‍💨Been running in these every day this past week and can’t take them off. Great Rebel update. NB’s been killing the competition lately with Lifestyle line and in their performance line.

@@Plant_Traced no not exactly! The Nike invincible Run has more of a stack and cushioning as a whole to the Rebel V4. Which doesn’t necessarily make it better or more cushioned than NB. But I think it’s more in the versatility, build, offset and responsiveness of the foam NB is using which gives this shoe a great snappier feel over the Invincible Run but also a good everyday runner up to the Nike invincible run.

Thanks for your reply…I’m a huge Invincible run 3 fan and have also always ran and been a fan of NB while in the Marines. I’m older and enjoy the stack the max cushion shoes have like Asics Gel-Nimbus. I’ve been waiting for the NB SC trainer to drop later in the year, but if you and Hes think the Rebel is a better lifestyle shoe I’ll give it a shot! ✌🏻

Extremely soft, but it bottoms out. And I feel like the heel sinks to where there's a rocker stride. Last version was the same. New version feels better nonetheless.

I'm a massive UB fan, they kinda made all other shoes obsolete as they were so comfortable. How does the rebel v4 compare to say the solebox ub? I've ordered some v4 in all black for dog walking after your recommendation, will get back to you with my thoughts just curious if they're more comfy than ub.. .

I had the v3s and didn't get on with them. The staxk height of the v4's are just too high. Hopefully Nike will release the pegasus turbo 3's soon as the 2's were perfection!

These have a great mid sole however I think the upper is uncomfortable. I had a lot of heal slip and it was rubbing the back of my ankles so I returned them. I’m sticking with the rebel v3

I had this problem in the SC Elite v4s and went to fleet feet got running socks thick with padding and instantly fixed them loving both as I now have them both and I like the rebel v4 more. I even wear it as an everyday casual shoe!

I bought these exact pair and wore them for 8hrs. My experience was anything but good. The way the shoe points upward at the front on the shoe caused my right big toe to flex unnaturally. I started to get pain at my joint on my big toe. When i sat down i had to take the shoes off to rest my toes from the upward position inside the shoes. The next day my right foot near the ball of my big toe was tender and sore to walk on. I went back to my regular zero drop shoes to give my right toe and foot a rest. Long story short. This shoe did not work for me. I returned them to new balance the following day.

For those who like to walk in bouncy running shoes it is painfully difficult to chose running shoes based on description. Usually reviewers focus on running but many running shoes aren’t good for walking. Adidas Ultraboost running shoes were more popular as casual shoes for walking around rather than for running. Rebel v4 with its thin transparent upper doesn’t appeal to me as a casual shoe. While 1080 v13 looks more casual.

I didn't like the lack of outsole rubber coverage between the midfoot and the heel. NB REALLY skimped on the Rubber outsole, to save a few bucks, I suppose. The heel is too thinly padded and thus you hear a number of complaints about heel rubbing (some was severe enough that the guy had to stop in the middle of his run and limp back home). I noticed major instability in the heel, when just wearing the shoe around casually. Leaning back on your heels even a little bit and you feel like you are about to fall backwards. You can see this in your video exactly at the 6:38 min mark. That is a serious safety concern. Where most running shoes have a bit of an outward flare or bevel, to ensure stability, this shoe trims the foam away with an INWARD angle...which is a bad design. Go ahead and test it for yourself. Put the pair on and with your feet about shoulder width, lean back onto your heels (to one side, then the other) just a little bit. It's very unstable and could literally cause you to stumble and fall. During a run, this may not be noticeable, but in a casual wear setting, you will definitely encounter this instability issue.

With the V3 on sale right now for only $50 each (for a pair) at Joe's, it's a no-brainer of an alternative to the V4, which is nowhere near 3X better than the V3 and will likely be liquidated this time next yr. I tend to wait for hype to die down and they go on sale, since being late to the party while I enjoy what I own drastically reduces the impact on my bank account. Keeping up with the Jones' (e.g., YT reviewers) is a money pit for those of us who aren't subsidized.
