I'm dealing with a diag that is kicking my ass 07 Xterra-4x4 offroad 220k diag time needed second guessing myself. Customer states: Vehicle shuts off coming to a stop, cycle key restarts no issue. Took to other shop and said they diag as bad throttle body, had 4 TB now lasts 3-4mo. Goes in limp mode, CEL+ I assume because of the code called "TB" lol Bench tested one of the prior TB and tested good. Nah, I think he's on the right track... A poor connection will in fact generate heat, sometimes a lot of heat. I've seen it discolor the bolts from excessive heat, no joke. Hopefully he's resolved it by now...
