I scored 2 of these when they very first came out around covid actually. Really nobody knew they existed in the u.s. so its good to see them actually get the attention they deserve. They were on airgundepot for $180 each so I got one in each caliber. Absolutely great guns. You don't need to modify anything on it internally. The .22 is a tack driving hammer with just about any ammo ive used and on high power has no problem shooting slugs well over 900 fps. I was amazed. And the .177 breaks the sound barrier with anything under an 8 grain pellet. Nuff Said 😆 I did knock off the stock suppressors and put on some actual 8 baffle ones as well
This are some great guns, and very affordable. I have an original single shot chief in 22 . It’s unreal how accurate these guns are. Thank you for the honest reviews, JC !
Its GREAT to see this rifle FINALLY get a proper us review and some of the attention it deserves. I have one in .177 and one in .22 that I got when they just FIRST came out around 2020 or 2021, I picked them up for $180 then because nobody knew about them yet And that was the dropping price on airgundepot. But they are absolute hammers. GREAT GUNS, With just turning the hammer spring the .177 will break the sound barrier with lighter pellets. And at a price point like that, they both keep up with my $1000+ armada build. I did knock off the stock suppressors and put on my own suppressors and muzzlebrakes
Appreciate your channel JC great job on this review. Thanks to you this Beeman qb 2 may be my first into the pcp world of fun. Cheers from Georgia former Cali resident Rancho Cucamonga, miss Inn & Out and the beach days so bad. God bless
Ola JC, excellent review as always. A really good economic solution for those who want to enter the world of pcp. Regulated PR900 GN2s are also interesting for this price range. Have a good weekend. Cheers
I’m not a real PCP guy, I’m mostly a break barrel person. However I recently purchased the Gamo Arrow and now the Beeman QB Chief 2 synthetic. Because they’re the simplest to operate for a neophyte like me. I bought the QB Chief because it has more power than the Arrow but I enjoy both of them and they’re a lot easier to use and charge with a hand pump. Also more fun to shoot than my Gamo Magnum Gen2. That thing is literally a pain to cock lol 😅. I purchased both of the PCP’s on the strength of your videos !
Peter, I appreciate you watching, and thank you for leaving your comments. I caution you! The airgun hobby can be very addictive. One day you you wake up, and you have 100 plus airguns 🤣👍🏻 Enjoy, it is great fun and we only live once!
I have the same tank. Great deal for a very safe, solid, and dependable carbon fiber tank. I bought a 3ltr also for on the quad and a 100 cubic inch for my Camel Back backpack. Hard to beat for the money compared to what some airgun shops charge for a tank most likely made in the same place…maybe not but still good enough.
Awesome video! For 200 bucks that is amazing! Can't go wrong with that.👍🏻 Nice to get the tank also featured in the video. Way too easy airgun filling..😁😁👍🏻
I remembered your comments on this Beeman Chief II. These Beeman Chief II's are so sweet. I hope Peter has sent you one of the New Beeman 1341 air rifle. The 1341 now has a beautiful wood stock, is regulated like you wanted and has 3500 PSI fill. It is available at a great price. Or you can get the NEW must higher priced Crosman Prospect (shipping soon) which has the same basics as the NEW Chief II that you seen at Shot a few weeks ago. I hope both make an appearance soon!
Wow JC, great performing rifle! Groups very well and has plenty of power. For $200.00 dollars, it seems i will have to add it to my collection. Merry Christmas to me! Lol😊
I’m sold. I love the gratification of break barrels but for the price (plus a good hand pump) it’s cheaper than many spring/piston airguns and still offers the physical interaction aspect. likely easier to shoot accurately at least at distances so may extend my squirrel range past 45 yds
QUESTION: I believe the H&N Field Target Trophy pellets come in different diameters as well as weights. Which did you find to be the most accurate in the gun? Can't tell from the video, but maybe I missed it....thx!
I really enjoy your channel and your reviews. I asked on another one of your reviews whether you’d recommend the Barra 1100z or the Gamo Arrow to which you replied the 1100z. Now that I’ve seen this review and how well the Chief II performed I would like to know if you’d recommend the Chief II or the 1100z as a first PCP for backyard target shooting, plinking and pest control. Thanks again.
Hey do you think at least by spring you could start looking at some more co2 stuff specifically the Umerex legends line. You could start with the makarov which is at the cheaper end.
*Definitely not a bad rifle overall!* I had the well known probe o-ring issue and one of my mags decided to give up already but other than this yet I can't find much more negatives to say about it _I would appreciate diagrams or spare parts avaibility/ better customer service from Beeman tho_ [How many turns in this tune was at? Looks about out of the box ~7 turns]
I had one of those two years ago it was a pretty good shooter I just wish the moderator would come off so you could add your own on there instead of that fixed one
Great review JC! The NEW REGULATED version of this air rifle has been available in limited quantities since September 2023! The "Beeman Chief II 3500" is a wood stock version of this rifle! The Model 1340 (.177) and the 1341 (.22) both have a 3500 PSI fill with the regulator. Your new compressor will easily fill this rifle! Maybe something new to review before Shot Show 2024? If the original Beeman Chief is accurate at 75 - 100 yards, I cant wait to see this one stretched out! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Actually, the only thing the 1100z shares is the trigger. The 1100z's trigger also provides a unique pivot point with the blade. It resembles a 2-stag trigger. Happy Shooting!😉👍🏻
They do work! I already tested them. The Beeman magazines are actually better. They load easier and can be topped off. Our friends at Maple Custom Products. Check them out on eBay. They have great mags for this!
Hi! Great video, i love your channel, bought a chief II plus also, but i haven't a chrony, could you share how many turns has the hammer in your rifle?
Hey J.C. , how are you ? i hope life is treating you good ..... Wow just WOW ? for $200 you get a pcp that shoot`s like that ! ... I love the rifle , it has so much to offer to shooter`s new and old ! ... Greeting`s from England ... Cheer`s Si 😃
That is a toss-up! Watch both the videos again and decide which one appeals to you more. Either one are great entry-level PCP's. The 1100 is now offering a regulator, which is always a bonus 👍🏻
Good afternoon, Nice review. Probably a stupid question, but a assume you use one of your electric air compressors to fill the carbon fiber tank, and best estimate how many times could you fill an average PCP rifle with the Carbon Fiber tank. Thank you.
That all depends on the size of the air cylinder/bottle on the PCP and it’s fill pressure/how far down you shoot your gun/how full do you fill your tank…a lot of variables.
@@heathhalfhill6401 yes, off course I understand that. But most of the time you don’t run them to empty when you shooting, and yes I understand the different size cylinders on rifles, just looking for a rough estimate, example a JTS aircuda, how many time could you refill the rifle, best estimate, 5 times, 10 times. Thanks
If by electric compressor, you mean a regular workshop compressor, they can't fill to the high pressures required (3000 to 4500 psi). A specialized high pressure compressor is required. As far as how many fills from the tank in this video, as the other commenter states, it's a wild guess with so many variables. My own gun has a 280cc air tube with a 3100 psi max fill. I shoot down to 1500 psi and refill, which gives me approx. 25 fills from my tank.
Okay now tell everyone how you can't get parts for them and the cases of leaky air. Hard to trust a reviewer that just 'happens' to leave important information out.
