Just found your channel yesterday. Really like your progression through intro, pellet choice, velocities, decibels, trigger pulls, accuracy, targeting, and follow-up thoughts, including velocity graphing. I am proud of the fact that the Crosman/Benjamin company is USA based in Bloomfield, NY, just a few miles from me, and has been since I began shooting Crosman guns in the 70s. The quality of Benjamin products is well known as is their excellent customer service. The accuracy of this .22 semi-auto, along with your marksmanship skills, was astonishing; a dime size group at 40 yards?! 50 to 60 regulated shots per fill?! Sold! Thank you also for the GX pump demonstration. Looks like a very capable yet portable pump; 2 minutes and 15 seconds to bump from 2,000 psi to 3,000 psi is plenty fast, especially at such a fair price. Looking forward to future videos from you and Airgun Detectives. Thanks again for your efforts and successful, IMO, process of presenting airguns to viewers.

I have one of the GX pumps, and use it to fill the several PCP rifles I own. It has worked flawlessly from day one, and makes filling and maintaining pressure a piece of cake. Great product, and the Benjamin is amazing as well. I just wish it had a bit more power. My Stoeger Bullshark fires .22 pellets at 975 fps, and is a "tack driver" as well. Perfect for taking down the large Iguanas in my So. Florida neighborhood.

Great review JC! Love that Marauder Semi Auto! Holy cow! 1 hole groups at 40 yards easily! A few months back I switched over from a 88 cu in SCBA tank and a Yong Heng to the GX compressor. It is so much less of a hassle than lugging around that tank. It's also a lot safer. Some of my guns are 300 Bar fill. You can't get that with the tank. These smaller compressors like this are the only way to go. That tank is going to collect dust from now on.

I wish you would do at least one video where you take your most accurate rifles to the range and show us the accuracy at 100 yds. Anyone considering competing would really appreciate it. My favorite real gun is my RPR .308. I can hit anything at 500 yds or more. We won't talk about how much I spent on the optic lol. It was far from cheap.

My friend used the Marauder SAM at the Pyramyd Air Cup Speed Silhouette Competition and did quite well. It’s a really nice gun, and you got great accuracy. I have a higher end GX pump and it is awesome. Great air compressors. I have an Edgun Leshly 2 in .25 caliber and the biggest con about it is the trigger. Wish I could do something about that. Nice video.

Fantastic! Some other reviews have not had quite that degree of accuracy, but it is what it is. Yours is certainly about as accurate as anything on the market, even though it is semi-auto. I have an Origin 22, which has been great over all, and very accurate, and which has ended a certain pest infestation for my neighborhood. But my main concern going forward is ability to get repaired once warranty is out, and speed of follow up shots, and maintaining accuracy. This SAM might be the one. Oh, I forgot a big one: American made! I think.

WOW to accuracy not bad for Crossman/Benjamin barrel. I have 2000 Daystate Huntsman .22 with Lothar Walther barrel. At 62yrd at 940fps with Barracuda Match I get the same accuracy as the Marauder. I was surprise how accurate the Crossman/Benjamin barrel.

Man, what a tackdriver! I wish I had a rimfire that shot so well! I think I know what I'll be taking squirrel hunting next fall. Accurate? Check. Quiet? Check. Can reload with minimal movement? Check. Can practice in the backyard without upsetting the neighbors? Check. What else could a person ask for? I used to have the Benjamin Marauder Sam myself and I only had it for 3 days for those 3 days it was awesome and then the third day the charging handle started locked up within a few magazines and I could not pull it out anymore I was super bummed but instead of doing a warranty with Benjamin I actually just did a refund Utah airguns for a different airgun. I've been thinking about getting another one I heard there were some flaws in the beginning I'm may get another one in the future.

The charging handle has not been an issue. It has been a bit stiff at times but totally manageable. I have about 1500 rounds through mine, and it has been flawless. I really like this one! Happy Shooting Buddy! 👍🏻

I have a synthetic gen 2 marauder. It's super accurate and awesome. The best part is the crisp, light trigger. The semi auto Marauder trigger is awful. Squishy, no predictable break. It's why I didn't buy it. I'll take the bolt action and amazing trigger.

Nice review. I'm curious how that pump compares to the cs4 model. Why do you prefer 3000 to 4500psi gins? I absolutely HATE the safety being inside the trigger guard. Its a lazy and cheap place to put it and the absolute worst place. Your finger should be nowhere near the trigger guard until ready to fire. Pyramid air dismissed it when I mentioned this on a review of theirs as " many manufacturers put the safety there" I don't care how many do that, it doenst make it right or safe. Wish this was available in 25 cal and that benjamin would up the power of their air guns.

This is common with many semi-autos. They look that they are more accurate. You did not change the position of your head which means the parallax remained exactly the same and your body did not change position so the net forces on the airgun and trigger remained the same. Try doing the same but after each shot move your head away from the scope, simulate with your hand and body the cocking action and see if you can achieve the same group.

Ummmm the target and grouping shows how accurate it is. If you are manipulating the gun as designed and firing a group it shows how accurate it can be. The accuracy was clearly pretty spot on with such a tight group. Your argument is absurd and clueless.

I get what hes saying. Takes the shooter out of the equation almost fully. With a single shot you have to move your head, charge the rifle moving the poi , etc. regardless its still a accurate rifle.

Hi JC. Very interesting review as usual. One thing. Is it a true semi-auto where the bolt feeds the pellet into the breech? Here in 🇬🇧 UK we are not allowed that type, but we are allowed “Self-indexing” where the pellet is fired out of the magazine, (like the Steyr and EdGun air rifles) and not fed into the breech.👍

The bolt pushes the pellet out of the magazine into the breech. Once the rifle is fired, the bolt retracts, the magazine rotates, and another pellet is pushed into the breech. @@AirgunDetectives Thanks for the quick reply JC. Some of our airgun laws are strange, but we have to live within those laws. I have the EdGun Leishy 2 which is a great airgun. My friend has the Steyr Pro which is fantastic. Both these fire the pellets from the magazine, so are full metal and of close tolerance. We are generally limited to air rifle energy at 12 Ft/Lb maximum limit at the muzzle, and 6 Ft/Lb with air pistols. You can have more powerful air rifles only if you apply for a Firearms licence, but is a real pain to get, so most British airgunners don’t both, we just learn to shoot accurately within the law. So even though we generally can not have what you guys have, it’s nice to keep up with what’s going on around the world. Take care of yourself.🇺🇸🇬🇧👍

Our Conservative ruling party should be like a Republican Donald Trump, but they are more like a Communist Joe Biden. Here our government are inventing more Eco-Fruitcake ideas to destroy our economy, and enslave the British people. That is why I believe that both here, and across the pond Civil Wars are coming. That 2nd amendment will come in just fine for you all, but we have no such thing here. Still we will use what we can if the time comes, because we will not be controlled by politicians who have been elected to work for the people, not themselves.

@@simonnoble7589 It surely was a nice weekend. Nice weather and got something done at home even. Oh, Yes! I very much liked both the rifle and review. The Marauder seemingly been a very popular rifle, in the US anyways. And this semi-auto version did very well here. If them all semi Marauders do this well - then they'd oughta sell even better than the bolt action versions - or so one could believe.. No idea how the Marauder sales really are going though.. I also this weekend test shot my .177 Sig Sauer Canebrake using my Virtus' airtank.😁 7gr RWS Club pellets went out the barrel with an average velocity of 765fps (Virtus reg pressure set at about 1520psi/105bar) - which then is about 9.1fpe....which then is in the fpe ballpark measured of the **stock UK Virtuses...😁 I'm now gonna invest in an 8ci airtank (+ reg of course) and a buttstock for the tank. The 88g co2 cartridge thread to ASA tank adapter makes a too long buttstock for the use with the Virtus 13ci tank. But an 8ci tank is just a shorter version of the 13ci. Best Fittings surely have a great HPA kit (better than Air Venturi imo) - but the tank just is too long.. ((**From what read, several UK Virtuses in stock UK configurations have only put out something around 8-10fpe... And I blame it on the seemingly different tank and regulator they get in the UK. I personally believe they do not put out a pressure of 1100psi... But no UK Virtus owner has ever confirmed/answered anything to me when asked about this...)) Btw.. Have you ever seen or followed sub12airgunners channel? Very nice work on sub 12 fpe airguns. Seemingly a pro machinist with also tools to do some serious stuff (and just not to eff around as I do😁🤣)...

I think the earliest models had a few issues with the bolt getting stuck. I have a newer model, and it has been flawless thus far. I have about 1500 rounds through it so far. HAPPY SHOOTING!👍🏻

If Benjamin would have used a longer trigger screw it can achieve an amazing 2 stage trigger

Just found my next rifle ,,,squirrel season is open ,,,,the accuracy is great if it does that 90 % of the time ,,,,,,I been wanting a semi auto for follow up shot ,,,,,I,normally hunt with a single trey gun so the pellets go in smooth in,the breach with out any deformation ,,,,,but this set up,must be great ,,,,,in,your opion woukd this beva great squirrel gin for 40. To 50 yrds

It would be in my opinion better looking and more appropriate if they would of put this marauder in the original Armada stock the charging Handel would make more sense and the new Armada stock on the filed target. You were saying about the magazine what you like to see iI have seen after market aluminium magazines for the marauder that other company offer. The loading might be the same I'm not quite sure on that part iv also seen high capacity after market mag for them as well. Have a great one till the next one

I just purchased a Benjamin Marauder semi and de-cocked as per the manual. How do you cock the gun after de-cocking it? The manual doesn’t say anything.

This video didn't reveal any mystery at all. It didn't show how to load the damnable thing or pump it up. Maybe for a seasoned air rifle pro, it's no big deal, but for those of us who are used to normal guns, the Benjamin represents a pain in the ass to operate. Bought my Ben semi-auto gun 3 yrs ago and never have figured out how to operate it - just don't have the time or patience to spend hours on RU-vid researching it. Benjamin manual is not worth much either and I haven't found any vids that really address the topic. Benjamin did a shitty job on that line. The rotating pellet mechanism is a bear to understand - very intricate and not straight forward as to how to load and operate. I attempted to shoot it with a friend who is a rifle expert in the USAF, and he never could figure it out either.
