Kinda crazy that screen shake is even on by default considering how much it throws off your aim. Such a huge improvement turning it off.

For video section, don't forget to use your native resolution and highest refresh rate. Not just the highest resolution that it goes. Make sure you aren't using any super resolution or scaling settings in your GPU driver. Also navigate to your game executable and disable "Fullscreen optimizations" to ensure that there's no added delay from the DWM/Exclusive switching that Windows implemented. IMO, don't bother with dynamic scale unless you're on a low end PC, much preferable to lower your settings and or reduce the resolution to a static value. IE if you're at 2560x1440p then use 75% to be 1080p if desired. Nvidia Reflex has no effect if you have your game capped to a frame rate that leaves some GPU resources available. (so AMD/Intel users do not need to worry) If you have a high amount of VRAM (4GB+) use high textures with 16x Aniso. Using ultra model quality also tends to be fine. Leave shadows on Low, but everything else can be off. Mouse sensitivity: There is a measurable benefit to mouse responsiveness up to 3200 DPI (as long as your mouse sensor natively supports it) See battlenonsense's Razer 8K delay analysis for an example of such. To use 3200 DPI instead of 800, just use 1/4 of the in game sensitivity suggested.

I disagree with some of your video settings. The dynamic render scaling should be set to a fixed value because your input latency would change leading to inconsistency in a competitive setting. Also, you can have the texture quality set to higher than low because it will help the game look slightly better with little to no performance cost if you have a gpu with a moderate amount of vram. Lastly, the FXAA essentially only blurs the image and isn't worth being on at all at that point because it makes outlines slightly fuzzier. Instead, SMAA low is a far better option. Great video though!

About V-Sync and AMD Cards If you have an AMD Card and using freesync turn v-sync on (in Game and in Drivers) you will have less input lag and a more smooth experience overall. AMD Cards are kinda odd with v-sync + freesync (also cap fps 3 under your max refresh rate) Without freesync go for highest stable FPS possible

I switched from fullscreen to borderless bc of screen tearing, my average pc latency was around 28ms and after this i switched it back and tested it was around 9ms. Fullscreen definitely ftw

3:45 is wrong, enabled + boost will take away some frames for very insignificant input lag decrease. just enabled should not have any impact on your frames.

Important for render scale: Outlines for players are actually thicker the lower you go from 100% which you can not see from this comparison picture as there were no players. Yes it looks hard to play on that picture but really its quite good and you can see enemies quite well. Not only when you have bad PC but also many pros use lower render scale like Asking used 50% even i remember. They do it in effort to keep consistant 400 fps and also thicker outline for some. I have just about constant 240 fps and I need to see a bit sharper long range so i keep 100% render scale as I almost one trick widow.

Damn i didnt notice i had to set my fps in my resolution settings, I was stuck at 60. This helped alot

Borderless works fine if you force V-sync off in the Nvidia Control Panel, tested in a live game and if you do that FPS is uncapped and input lag (according to overwatch shift+n menu) is within .2ms of fullscreen.

This is for sure going to get me out of bronze

I have bad lag spikes when I stand still I get around 200 fps but then I slightly move or someone does something I lag and or get 0-2 fps for like 30 seconds

Apparently there is a bug where controller settings are affecting K&M so would be best to bring Aim Smoothing in Controller Advanced down to 0.

I think that there is something wrong with overwatch on my pc. So my pc specs are: Intel core i-5 10300H, Gtx 1650 and 8 gb of ram. In games like valorant or minecraft I easily get 200 fps constantly but I just downloaded overwatch today and I am literally getting 3-10 fps in the menu/loading screens. Also, whenever I put my game into full screen, it moves the game over to my laptop screen (I have an external monitor set as my main display and laptop as my secondary) So i'm not really sure what to do, if anyone has any ideas please let me know!
