It was new bike day for me yesterday. Ordered it on Saturday and picked it up on Monday. CB650R eclutch in Gunpowder metallic black. 3 miles on the clock Absolutely brilliant bike. I just wish the weather was better. Had to get my new baby dirty riding home from Nottingham to Leicester in the pouring rain 😢. Shout out to Gabe at Vertu Honda Lenton Lane Nottingham. Excellent service and had the bike and colour wanted. The new helmet arrived today. Matt black AGV K6 to match my baby. The eclutch is a game changer and will only get better in time. Just like DCT. Honda leads others follow. Stay safe Paul ❤ your content.
Yep, bloody weather has been biblical these last few days, then the Met Office confirms what we all knew "wettest September on record". I used to live in Brawny.....lol can't say I miss it though...
@BibTheBoulderTheOriginalOne I've family in Brawny, I'm over Abbey Park way myself. I get what you're saying, though. Leicester definitely isn't what it was. The city centre is a s#!t hole now. I don't bother with town anymore. Riding gets me away from all that.
@birchwoodbiker Sounds like a plan, mate. I'd like a spin out at some point. Perhaps if and when we get some decent weather, mate. And got the bikes nicely run in. I've been looking for some aftermarket items to put on my CB like a windscreen, etc. But there doesn't seem to be much out there at present. I heard you mention a bar riser for yours. If I see any aftermarket stuff come out, I'll let you know. I want some R&G crash bobbins, I've messaged R&G and am awaiting a response. Weather is due to perk up a bit over the next few days. So, hopefully, get a chance to get closer to the magic 600 miles 🏍 😁. Ride safe, mate. Catch you later 👋
I think it’s a great bike ,lovely colour 👍. I’m waiting till the new nc750 DCT come out in 2025 , I’ve seen some videos and it’s very nice , twin front disc brakes new twin headlights different shape fairing, new Digital dash and new colours . Keep your standard exhaust it’s lovely and you’ll have enough power and you said short wheel base - great for Corning you would leave a 1000 standing down a a country lane😊
I'll never get rid of ny 2023 NC750 DCT its all paid for and its incredible. Today I have also bought another bike a royal enfield guerrilla 450 as its sensational for less than £5000 with 3 years warranty. Best bang for your buck ever. 18 miles on it so far. Happy riding
@@birchwoodbiker🤣🤣I watched to you pulled out that lay-by I thought that was it. I’m still thinking of getting another bmw love the comfort of them on long rides. But Still keeping the ninja 🥷 👍🏍️
Hands up 🙌 you got me 😅 so glad you’ve still got the mighty NC , that’s one of the reasons why I follow you and your chats on your way to work, I’ve got a 24 reg nc dct think it’s the same colour as your new bike 👍
I've got the mighty Himmy 411 now lol ;) and vstrom 1000 , thinking of getting rid of the vstrom as too big and heavy as I'm old and replacing with a nc750 for every day commute miles , but the e clutch might have changed my mind
@birchwoodbiker I'm loving the AT I got it so I can take my girlfriend out, we're planning a tour next year somewhere in Europe and I didn't think the NC would have coped with us both and luggage . I've got a few videos coming but hardly get any spare time for editing !
I got a new CB650R E-Clutch after testing the CBR version in June. I've done 1300 miles on it and loved every single mile. I put it in neutral at the lights to save the clutch. The turn by turn nav is great, too. Great review. You seem to love it as much as I do.😎🏴
@@birchwoodbiker yeah, it seems like a great idea. Use the E-clutch in the beginning and then I would gradually start learning to use the physical clutch, I think this is a great learning tool for beginners like myself. Anyways, congrats on the new bike! We only live one life on this earth, make the most of it and live the way you want to 😁
Congratulations on your new cb650 r in my favourite colour old man red, have it on my cb 1100rs. Great bike for sure, its a honda you cant go wrong, enjoy ride safe and look forward to a new chapter on the mighty cb650r
Well done Paul. Married life is definitely suiting you. Lovely bike, air scoops remind me of a V Max. Love the colour. The way the weather is, thinking of swapping my NC for a boat. Ride safe mate, enjoy.
Nice one Birchy...nothing quite like 'new bike day' especially when it's a brand new one! No way I'm selling my NC either though, it's my 'forever bike'. I am however looking at buying a Triumph America. So many good used bikes on the market these days. Look forward to seeing you out and about on the CB650
Congrats BB, total surprise,, you alone will know if you done the right thing , , I traded MY NC a couple of weeks back all I miss is the frunk 🤣 enjoy the new bike and stay safe ))
Wow I've just had a Honda nc750x DCT delivered and you've just had a new bike too, I never thought you'd ever get rid of your NC. I've not watched the whole vid yet, so maybe you still have it, but it sounds as though all your promises about not getting rid of it were empty words lol, but I do understand why as i was thinking of getting the same one and I'm sure the nc750x will have an update for next year, but definitely enjoy your new bike 😉 I'm off the Matlock Bath tomorrow to get the miles on it for my 1st service too.
@@birchwoodbiker if you're near Matlock Bath tomorrow we could have a mini spin around or just indulge in a bag of chips and compare notes on the NC lol 🤙
You almost had me! 😂 now you have around town fun bike and a long distance hauler. Just like me. Hope to get my beach cruiser soon. But i am still needing to get jobs settled. So spring time maybe😊
Nice little bike I’ve wondered about the Eclutch is there more ware on them but Honda must have looked into it before in went into production a company like them don’t know if there gonna bring out the naked CB1000 naked with a E clutch are they if you’ve heard but good first ride and video does look a nice bike enjoy mate ride safe 👍
You bugger, you nearly had me then, I was about to go on about wind blast, carrying camping gear and the rest. Enjoy your new bike Paul, she looks very smart. I would go for the tail tidy, but I imagine you have a list already of what you want to do. Err, did you tell the new wife about the new bike before or after the wedding 😂
😂😂 The whole video I was in disbelief that you'd got rid of the mighty NC..Nice bike maybe a detailed explanation of just how the E clutch works if you get chance..👍
I had a 650 and a z1000st and I never put a screen on ,you will get used to it , it’s clean air , if you put a screen on it you might make it dirty air ? I used to ride my two bikes I mentioned in the snow , all winter and I never had a screen. But saying all that I’m 65 now that’s why I will be going for the new nc next year.
