Awesome mate , looks proper naughty with all the lights and the SC sounds great 👌, ACF50 is indeed a great protection product , also take a look at XCP rust blocker and XCP clear coat I`ve been using these for years and IMO I think they just have the edge on ACF , looking forward to seeing you and Big Lad 2.0 on up and coming adventures , safe riding Pal.

Congrats on new wheels 🎉 but now acf 50 fully protects (seriously?? there was a video that compared loads and acf did very poorly) and the ceramic coating you have been plugging for this long is now suddenly useless? Have you been dropped as a sponsor? Please clarify if you don't believe in the product anymore and why or it doesn't work or what the issue is - I got it because of you and would like to understand why you have changed your tune

The ceramic coating did nothing to protect bits that I’d hoped it would. Panniers looked terrible after winter (hence wanting to wrap new ones) and nuts bolts etc. I’ll be addressing it 👍

Well, as a viewer I have to confess a disappointment that we won't be getting a fresh new flavour for our viewing pleasure, I always find it a bit of a shame when people replace vehicles with the same-but-slightly-newer version. That said, that's the bike you like so congrats on the new one, and look forward to seeing more trips and tours with it.

@@marcio_de_oliveira Yeah I don't get it, maybe people are buying bikes on finance and swapping every couple of years as a result, but it seems to be common practice. Richy with the Africas, Bruce/Teapot with the GS, TMF with the Goldwings, etc. For me, as much as there are bikes I've owned before which I miss, I don't want to own the same thing twice because there's so much more flavour and riding experiences to try out and live with, and if I loved the first bike so much I just wouldn't sell it. But then, I've never had the luxury of buying from a catalogue, so perhaps when you have that kind of money and can get the bike you want, rather than just the bike you can afford, perhaps you do just find one model to keep cycling through.

Really nothing to “get”. And nothing weird going off behind the scenes! Simple really. I love the bike and, as mentioned, I have ridden and tested all the contenders! This is for me so why change? This is new, and again, as I said, I wanted my relationship with the Big Lad to end in a high - which the Outer Hebrides series was! Really simple as that. 👍

I had a run of bad luck with my bikes, my tiger 900 destroyed itself in only 22k miles in year one, so I got a KTM that was a liability so now I just picked up my Honda AT CRF1100 and so far I’m loving it! Perfect for our long distance touring videos

That bike looks beautiful, congratulations! A couple of thoughts from me if I may.... > If you have any matt black bodywork, I would get it covered by some protective film. I have a matt black Goldwing and, once scratched or marked, it's just not possible to polish the defect out of matt paintwork (ask me how I know!) > ACF50 is brilliant stuff and I use it on all my bikes....but it does mean any dust or grit will stick to the bike and soon make it look a bit grimy...even if the bike never sees rain. You also have to take great care removing said dust and grit in order not to put microscratches and swirls into anything on the bike that it's stuck to. Other than that, enjoy the BLT (Big Lad Two)!

Since the AT has “no name”, it reminds me of the ace track by America “ A Horse with No Name”. The track was featured in Breaking Bad (another link to your USA trip) in an episode named “Caballo sin Nombre” (Spanish for horse with no name)so a name suggestion for the AT could be “CABALLO” (Spanish for Horse). Super happy with your choice. I picked up my new AT on 1st March and loving it. I went for manual box and really wanted the electronic suspension, but that combination wasn’t available so I have standard suspension. I would be quite keen to hear your opinion on standard vs electronic suspension, if you need ideas for future videos ;-)

Ay up Rich. Arrive Cairo Airport 17:00. Review Vida Vids, 21:00........ Cracking vid as allus mate. You know very well, my own Africa Twin is a direct result of your first (much further North than our domicile) exploratory mission when you first tested Big Lad back in 2019. Honestly, still the best bike vid on here for anyone considering an adventure bike EXCEPT possibly - the Hebrides.......... Another level of awesome Rich, and in any case I'd already bought mine a year earlier........ "Onda" man pal, for over half a century, as tha' knorrs. Bikes are blokes mate. Rugged. Tough. Drop 'em on the floor every now and then. Abuse, and get 'em mucky. Cars are female........... Safe. Comfy. Warm. Place you want to be. Having said that, I have a 1954 Ferguson TE20 tractor. I bought it 2 years ago, and the previous owner, Chris (and his daughters) called it Rosie. I re-named HIM as Fergie (Have a search on RU-vid for Fergie vids) making me probably the first EVER owner of a Trans-Tractor 😊😊. He is a lad though - for sure. Grumpy old bu99er

Be really good to see someone on RU-vid actually keep a bike and clock up some serious mileage rather than just buying new bikes all the time. Out here in the real world where having money to burn is not a luxury one bike is the norm and high mileage is just part and parcel of life, keep them going till they can’t go any longer, my 18 year old DR 650 with 500,000 Klms on the clock is still used every day and would still pass a MOT, if there were such a thing here in Australia. 😂😂 and it has never been in a workshop.

Love my 2021 that I Bought new in Oct 2022. BIG EFFING PROBLEM - TFT’s are super buggy. Will reset at any time and only monitor your first 2.5 gallons as opposed to all 5. Touch screen hasn’t worked in months. suspension adjustability is fantastic. Stock exhaust is fine and refreshingly quiet. Richy. - Are you having issues with TFT screen.

Sorry to say but I just don't get it....another identical bike (even same colour) as the last one?? I've owned about 37 bikes and never gone for the same bike when changing, no matter how much I liked the old bike. Says it all rich another honda thats why i run honda a perfect package you ride them and everything is at hand i have tried other makes off bikes but always come back to the honda enjoy many happy miles of riding also why dont you get a chain oiler fitted to this one they work well saves you money in the long run have tutoro ones on all my vfrs well pleased with them.

Ps - the shorter screen is great but you might get a small amount of buffeting. The pyramid anti buffeting plastic cover fixes the problem.
