I lived for many years in Connecticut, we were not far from Sturbridge Village, and we would frequently visit especially when my daughter was little. It was always a fun day and loving history we learned something new every time. I'm glad you were able to visit. I'm sure the cookbook is wonderful, but I recently got rid of all my cookbooks because I just wasn't using them anymore. Thanks for sharing Kandye.

We love Old Sturbridge Village. My Husband and I only live about 1.5 hours away in Rhode Island. We love Christmas by candlelight show. Just beautiful!!! I own OSV Cookbook. I love Your youtube channel.
I have that cookbook from Old Sturbridge village! I got it as a kid when we went (I was homeschooled and loved in Ma), so I’ve had it for around 30 years. We took the kids this summer when they had their Rebels VS Redcoats weekend. It was soooo much fun and my 13 year old and I were saying we wish you, Ron, and Justine could have been there. You guys would have loved it!

@cabincrafts2239 Very true. What I meant by funny was the way he said it. Like, 107th "If others talk at the table, be attentive, but talk not with meat in your mouth" I love it!
I actually bought a kids version a few years ago and would read it to the kids during their lunch. I was a school cook for 7 years. They loved it because it was put in kid language, like don't pick your boogers in front of other people, lol!
@@cabincrafts2239Bad use of words. Obviously not modern. It was different however to Plimouth Plantations which seemed more original and less reproductions. Both are beautiful places and of different time periods so my comment was inaccurate 🙂
I just googled and read M. Washington's famous quote. I remember some blue books we had at school library when I was in grammar school. They were biographies of famous people in American history and one was of her, as a little girl and I loved it!!
