Great review, production and presentation. I have the 45's and love them. Glad that they didn't change the fit and comfort. I see no reason to upgrade. Bose should give the 45 headphones the same software as the new QuietComforts in an update.
@@palashsharma30 The sound is at the higher end of top ANC Bluetooth wireless headphones. I often use them wired because my LG V60 has a 32-bit Hi-Fi QuadDAC. There are many things to consider. Never disregard comfort, build-quality and warranty/customer service. Bose goes above and beyond for their customers. If it's a 1-year warranty, they will replace for free after 2 or 3 years. Sony's W5's sound great, but have build-quality flaws threw their history, rendering them $350 doorstops. But comfort is king. Never disregard comfort. I can wear the QC45's for 5 hours straight without any pain or fatigue.
I used the QC45s but returned them, but I just got the QC 2023 and will keep them because: I can have ANC/Ambient modified like is off with the new feature, is not completely off but is better than Max ANC and Max Ambient all the time. No more popping noises on the ANC. No more Cabin pressure with the ANC. The green color is awesome. Same smell as the QC45 😂 In conclusion, is like the same QC45s but with all the issues FIXED.
I really don't understand Bose marketing. Why do they make new QC model without a number. QC 45 and it's the same 1:1 to just QC. Like what is going on, just make it QC 50 or QC 55.

Hi, great video! I tried the 45s and i love them but idk if the new model is the same or better. But one of the biggest complaints with the 45s is that they don’t have wind protection witch is important for me. Can you help me to choose (if 45s don’t have problem with the wind and i can use them no matter the wind i would buy them). Thank you!
this is just a rebranded QC45 to bring product names and features in line with the newly released Ultra model. I doubt the ANC is any different since they're based on the same chipset, it's really odd that Bose wouldn't allow any ANC control on the QC45.
The wind block feature is huge! My QC45 are useless in Northern Europe. Without wind reduction they’re basically useless. Also the QC45 were heavily discounted here for some time. The price was so cheap, but walking outside they are still not very good. The new ones are definitely better and worth it.
For noise canceling, the QC45 is a huge disappointment in terms of banging/sharp/impact noises such as spoons on bowls or cups hitting tables. The QC35 was much better for that scenario. How does QC Ultra compare for this type of sound?
In fact, Bose Quiet Confort Ultra Headphones get a relly best quality in the ANC (the best active noise cancelling in 2023, better than Air Pod Max and 1000-XM5), sound is superior than the QC45 and the QC 2023's version.
I just bought my QC45 at 20% off the RRP, which in turn made roughly A$100 cheaper. I love the sound and the noise cancellation, it’s comfy and did well on a call.
Man, it really looks like Bose went to the upgrade table and thought to themselves. How can we cash grab? Oops I mean minimalist upgrade our devices and charge more for what they’re getting. I’m sure the Samsung galaxy fold five and the iPhone 15 would give Bose a standing ovation. It’s so sad to see what companies think of upgrades now these days. It’s all nothing more but a cash grab🤪🤪😞
The best color I've seen Bose come out with in a very very long time. The only thing I need every headphone and earbud manufacture to incorporate is Conversation Awareness, Speak to Chat, Easy Chat, whatever they want to call it, it's the best feature I love to use that feels new and functional.

I have the Bose QC15 & QC25 and was looking into getting my first pair of Bluetooth headphones (That still has wired capability) and was looking for videos that compare the sound quality of the QC25 vs the QC45 and your video came up in the search. While not the exact review I was looking for, your comparison of the QuietComfort (Which I didn't even know existed) vs. the QC45 has convinced me the QuietComfort is a much better value than the QC45. The Cypress Green color option was worth the extra $20 alone for me! LOL. But every difference between the two is even more added value! Thanks for the excellent review!
The QC45 had a major discount months ago and I knew they were coming out with a new line. 40% off at $230. Great grab, maybe theyll put them on sale again for some holidays.
I’ve had my navy blue QC45 for a year now! Best pair of headphones I’ve ever owned. Bought 2 pair of headphones for my parents for a steal this year! Wonderful video ! Bose is just the best manufacurre out there
Great review. I’m really disappointed with this update. The same Bluetooth version (5.1), battery life, and sound quality. It’s really not worth spending another $350, if you have the qc45’s. I think they are pushing the ultra model.
Exactly wtf? There is literally no important difference between the two. I have been waiting for the next release after the 45 and it's exactly the same.

I do wonder if the Ultra will be as comfortable though. I know it’s called the “QuietComfort Ultra.” However, we also know that the Ultra model will be heavier, and there’s not a lot of info out there yet about the ear cups. The NC700’s were great flagship models, too, but there were a lot of complaints about the clamping force. It makes me wonder if this midrange model may still wind up being the favorite for travelers and commuters (and cheaper, too).
Looking at these for an upcoming Christmas gift for my Pop. I have the QC Ultras but the touch volume control is trash. I like the physical button aspect and I think that’s something my Pop will appreciate
Today 2/9/24 Difference is $50. Both on sale at Best buy. Wind function is the only plus to the new units. If your out riding your bike, better spend the extra $50.
For those that are deciding between the Sony Mach 5s and these.. go with Bose. I had the Bose QC 35s and they were amazing. I went to the Sony's and they sounded great too. Build looks great but after a month the fabric started peeling and they eventually broke after normal wear and tear. They also were glitchy and would randomly activate features (like active noise cancelling) that I didn't want. Sometimes I had to do a full reset if my headphones decided to slow my audiobooks to 0.75x speed. Very frustrating. Just stay with the Bose. I'm happy to be back

I don't understand Bose way of thinking. We had Bose 700 with all the features and QC35. They moved all the features from 700 to Quiet Comfort and put it inside QC35 body. Like wth?! I had both 700 and QC35, sold it and got QC45. Now i dont have voice battery notification, no next/prev treck buttons on the headphones. What's happening to you Bose? We really love the brand but you can't keep doing things like that. I am not even talking about LDAC, it's 2024 😅 Can you guys please make QC50 with all the features from 700 and LDAC. Also please bring back 3d logo on headphones instead of just printing BOSE on the body. It looked great before.

My qc45’s just broke after only 2 years of light use. My warranty expired a year ago and bose decided to replace them with the newer ones anyway. That company is a total bro!
In my country this new Bose headphones were priced by Bose almost at twice the price of 45. So the difference is not small. Is there a reason that 45 can't get adjustable ANC in a software update?
Great review. Thanks for sharing. I'm surprised by how similar the microphone/call quality is for both the headphones. Many online reviews say the QC45 is atrocious, but they literally sound the same. Additionally, another reviewer said that the QC sounds significantly better than the QC45, but with EQ I was able to get the 45 to sound just as good. Out of the box, I do agree that the QC sounded better than the QC45 though.
The one reason you mentioned for upgrading is exactly why i returned my QC45 as i found them to be awful in the wind. I live in a windy area and that meant i hated using the QC45s outdoors.
@@aidanoconnor7299 Any update on how the QC handle the wind? I find that to be a very common issue with most ANC headphones. In my experience, these claims are usually misleading and the wind suppression is BS.
@@Niklaos I got the Sony WH-1000xm4 instead and they have a wind noise setting which works really well. I'm sticking with them. I slightly prefer the noise cancellation on the QC45 for cafes and shops and I like that they had physical buttons but they were so bad in the wind that it was a deal breaker.
I was really impressed with the mic sound of the old cq 35 ii. Would you say they are still worth the price tag of 240 dollars? I am really struggling to find a good over ear headphone with at least ipx 4 rating, good mic andgood sound quality.
100% the 35ii are still worth it! They have better sound better build quality and better quality internals Bose has started using cheap components since the 45 if you can find 35ii GET THEM!
Hi, I like your videos so much! Regarding this one, I think it needs revisited as the QC45s already allow for different levels of ANC. Also, no mention was made to the auxiliary cable which has an inline microphone on the latest QCs... Regards
Thank you for the great review. I just bought the old 45s not knowing there is a new model out. I got mine for 100.- (used, like new) Only thing I didn't get was the case and the audio cable. Not a big deal. So I'm happy.
I am still having the qc35 but thought about upgrading to the 45s but the mic was worse so I hope the new ones are besser I am having my pair since 2019 but the ultras are looking very good
Great review, watched and then ordered a pair of QC45's. Currently on offer in the UK and I managed to grab them for £179. The quietcomfort best deal i can find is £270. Based on the review I just couldn't bring myself to throw an extra £90/$115 on the Quietcomfort.
I have air pods max. I had the Bose qc35ii back in 2017 till 2023. They are just built great! I really miss them but the air pods max are great for me for watching tv with the aware mode on and the Apple eco system.
3:56 Is the 45's headband slightly wider? Because it looks like it in this shot. But maybe a measurement needs to be done to be sure. But if the 45's headband is wider then i need the wider because it just looks cooler. ✌️

I was torn between choosing white vs cypress green but as per the reviews, the white one easily gets stained while black is my least option coz it’s very common to my liking, so I chose cypress green-And the color surprised me! No regrets. I would say the color green in the video and website is close to the actual, however, I feel like the hue of green depends on the lighting. In normal light, it’s more darker and more classy. It’s unique and sophisticated. You will love it more when you see it up-close. Hope it helps.

I like the white ones too, but I might feel like I am missing out on the green if I go with them. The black ones are basic, but those are the best ones if I want to customize my Bose with some skins. Momentum 4 a much better. You buy a Headphone for one reason, Sound. And thats where the Sennheiser are much better than Bose and Sony. But Sony and Bose have better ANC tho, Sennheiser's ANC is Not Bad either
@@DP1AN I think the DSP, so the Amplifier in the Momentum 4 is very efficent. Maybe there Drivers are efficent too in the Headphone. But I think the battery Must be small, because Otherwise it wouldn't fit in the Headphone. I would Go for maybe 600 mAh PS: I have all of the Headphones above. QC 45 etc...
I know the qc 45s weren't much of an upgrade form the qc35s so I switched to Sony for that generation but now I'm curious if I should get the qc ultras or the Sony xm5s, I currently have the wh-1000 xm4s. I may just go back to bose if these are any good
I’ve tried everything except qc and found ultra sounds best but mine had serious connectivity probs. Might be a dud set. XM5s would be my choice but Sony give me headache

Hey I personally found the NC700 smashing the XM5 especially in noise isolation. On a call people could hear my wife talking in the background on XM5 but not NC700.
