New Braunfels Schools At Stake 

Thank you for making yourself available to push out important information. Schools are the bedrock on any community. I've experienced failing schools under state take over and property values plunged because people fled. Conversely, I've experienced awarding winning districts. The similarity between the two is parents. The difference between the two is parents expectations. Anyone who hopes on here and wants to play down investment in schools, I'll take you to failing districts and let you look around boarded up homes and businesses. You think I'm kidding? I'm not. Teachers should be top of the food chain. We hand over our kids and trust teachers with their future. What's the price tag on that? Limitless. Education is critically important to any city in America.

You know it’s NOT an increased tax rate, right? This only applies if you live within the boundaries of NBISD. Also you can only vote on this bind if you fall within NBISD boundaries. The only thing that’ll raise property taxes is increased home values and that’s defended by what buyers are laying for homes based on the value they see in that particular area.

You have a choice like anyone else. Yes or No. just get your facts straight on this channel. What you do in your own world is up to you

You may want to dig a little before "misleading' people here. Voters WILL see the disclaimer 'THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE." However, the statement MUST appear alongside bond propositions, even if the measure being voted on will not increase property tax rates. the requirement is the result of a 2019 law passed by the Texas Legislature. NBISD has paid off past bond debt early and kept their current interest and sinking rate to pay for new bond debt. That's called being good stewards of taxpayer money. And it means the overall property tax rate doesn't change or goes down, depending on the maintenance and operations rate. Simply translated, THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE means that TAXES will have to be levied in order to repay the bonds. That's like saying the sky is blue or water is wet. It's over stating the obvious.

Those who believe this won’t raise taxes are pretty naive!
