Tons of carpenters I work around have them and they all call them “trim saw”. Won’t replace a full size Skil , but still useful

@@The13point1 Yep exactly. Its the quick cut saw for when you don't need or want to run a cord for the big saw and just need to make a quick cut here and there

Personally for me these things really shine doing rafter/ Truss work. General you're just cutting tails and outlookers in so you don't need to make a lot of cuts and you don't need to drag around A cord.

It's a hook to hang the saw on a table or other lumber when not it use

Should be a great deal better. The brushed model is what, 5 years old or more. This is a brushless update.

It might cut for longer runtime but it won't be any more powerful I don't think, the brushed one is pretty powerful it cuts just as fast if not faster than my dewalt brushless 71/4 saw

The key difference between brushed tools vs brushless, tends to be the overall noise of the tool as well as it's longevity. Brushed tools are louder and over time have potential to lose some of their power as the brush contacts wear out, and they will inevitably need to be replaced at some point throughout the life of a frequently used tool. If you don't use your tool(s) very often, chances are you won't notice much, if any difference. Some brushless tools are more powerful, but in this instance I don't believe there is any notable power difference.

Milwaukee or Makitta in my experience

Makita will last a long time. I've worked for a lot of companies that had makita tools used day in and out but I don't like that you have to use 2 batteries with some of their circular saws and sawzalls. I have Milwaukee and have had very good luck. I sent 2 tools back to be repaired but their 5 year warranty is very good

I have a lot of bosch tools and love them but they are very slow at putting out tools. Some of their tools at Lowe's are the same ones I bought in 2013. Dewalt makes a very good miter saw. Their drills and impacts are good too

Bosch for concrete Dewalt for anything really Makita for anything(little bit less durabale motors tho)

@@mynamesnotimportant6941 makita is known for having the seeping cutting circ saws. My 6 1/2 almost cuts as deep as my corded DeWalt 7 1/4, it's only about 1/4" difference

I guy on RU-vid compared the two and the brushed cut faster but the brushless cut more

In America, Dewalt markets them as 20V max, and 18V in Europe. Exact same battery though

@@markp8295 Not so much marketing liars. 20V is the maximum voltage and 18V is the nominal. It's the same with 12V tools, in the US Dewalt, Milwaukee, and Makita all have their "12V Max" line of tools, which is actually nominal voltage of 10.6V. Happens a lot with OPE as well, such as "40V max" is really nominal 36V. Dewalt changed their marketing in the US to 20V when they switched from stick batteries to the slide on to avoid confusing customers. Kinda interesting lol
