Hi team! 💜 Hope you enjoyed this one 😄 my everyday bullet journal setup for 2024 is out now too for anyone who wanted to see the more "regular" planning pages 💪 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YuTGg6zn3EM.html
JESS!!! 6 YEARS! It's Just a Wedding! I had a panic attack about mine because my family is across 1k miles away.... My husband said to STOP. We set a wedding date and said, be there or be square, pretty much. We got married at a State Park on the water and had food in the lodge on the property...that was it.
Is anyone else as eager as me to see Jess doing the daily vlog on her wedding plans?❤ as someone who loves event planning, I can’t wait to see everything about it❤❤❤❤💜💜💜💜🌱🌱🌱2024 to wedding for jess
As someone who has never had a bullet journal and is pretty much Team Digital for every single thing .... I'm so blown away by your channel. The love, care, and pure artistic brilliance you put into every single thing is so very inspiring. I don't do bullet journaling (yet), but I love the idea of writing yourself a letter, and the Then and Again prompts. The reason I love these videos is because I struggle a lot with keeping track of time, and often feel like life is just passing me by. I want to be mindful and appreciate the passage of time, and this is exactly what these videos are. Not being scared of time passing, but relishing your growth every step of the way. Thanks for these beautiful videos! ❤
Thanks for such a nice comment, this was exactly what I needed to read today 😄💜 all about appreciating and being mindful of time passing, without getting down on the idea that it is 👏
Oh yes! A way to have a second journal! I’m so excited to set mine up for 2024! I have a lot to get accomplished leading up 2025, Lord willing, when BTS are back together!!
I love watching your set up videos. They are always so neat and well thought out. I think I might try starting a yearly collections journal for 2024. Your journals are encouragement for everyone who watches. Are you going to do a video when you actually populate the 101 things, future me problems and the 24's in 24 list? I would be interested in watching those.
I will have that video, yeah! Those ones typically come out towards the end of December though 😄💜 cool that you’re thinking of doing a yearly collections journal for yourself! 🥳
Yeah, I'd be interested in that too! Your brainstorm on your goals etc helps me brainstorm, @JashiiCorrin 😂 ive watched your video with the "do this first" thumbnail like 10 times already😅 it gets me in the mood to think about the bigger picture for my journal for the next year. Did it last year too
my new archer and olive journal from the nostalgia collection was delivered as i watched this video! super excited to start setting things up for the new year 🎉
This looks fantastic! The different elements of the theme work so well together. This video also came out at a perfect time, as I've been hoping to see 2024 setups start slowly popping up for inspiration for my own 2024 setup. Definitely taking inspiration from some of the layouts you included here when I set up my own journal. 💜
First, congratulations on your wedding ! You are about to begin an incredible adventure with lots of unexpected events! Your set up is just amazing: subtle and beautiful. After trying planner and digital bullet journal, I am definitely returning to something more personalized and artistic, and you are quite a source of inspiration 🎉
Thanks for the awesome videos Jess! I needed to properly thank you because I'm new to bullet journaling and have basically decided to start doing it because of your channel which I stumbled on recently and have been devouring. I particularly like how clear, thorough and ordered your speech is. Your clearly an organisationaholic which I love 😊 I mainly want to use my bujo for memory keeping because my life really isn't busy enough to warrant monthly, weekly and daily planning and to dos like in traditional bujoing. I tend to use notes, reminders and calendars on my phone for all that and am not quite ready to migrate all that to paper yet. Maybe one day! Memory keeping is super important for me because my long term memory is really bad and I honestly can't remember anything I did more than a week ago without someone or something explicitly reminding me of it and yet, I do so many awesome things with people these days. I have been keeping a lined Moleskine diary of what I did each day, but I want to record favourites, lists, goals (including your Level 10 Life idea!) and fun stuff like that too. Just need to finally go through your channel and make a list in the start of my new bujo of layouts I want to do. Do you have any videos just for fun/memory keeping layouts?
Glad you’ve been enjoying the videos! 😄 memory keeping type layouts are kind of sprinkled throughout different videos, usually around a larger theme that the video has 🤔 e.g. the travel ideas video has ideas for themed memory keeping layouts related to trip taking, while the birthday ideas video has similar for birthday celebrations 💜 maybe a topic to do a video on in future 💪
Love your setups! Watch them avidly even though I may not necessarily use the same topics, the layouts are both aesthetically pleasing and practical -my favourite combination ❤ Enjoy the wedding planning Jess. I loved planning my wedding and something that helped me keep everything in perspective was reminding myself I wasn’t just preparing for a wedding, I was preparing for a marriage. Certainly helped me focus on what was important ❤
@@JashiiCorrin I hear you! Don’t forget that you are the boss! You get to decide so when overwhelmed, take a break and ask your self how important it is in the larger scheme of things ❤️ Wishing you much joy as you plan!!
I love the tape hack for masking off your lines. I have some not so favorite washi tapes that came in a pack and now I know what to use them for. 🙋🏻♀️
Oh I think I want to make a monthly favorites page, not because I really feel like I need a record of that, but because it would be kind of like a gratitude spread as well as helping me focus more on things that make me happy.
So soooo glad I stumbled on your channel, this is ingenious. Love this layouts, thank you so much. I’m such a huge HUGE fan of organization but just starting a “journal” thing instead of pad after pad after pads of sticky notes.
I might do that 24 24's in 2024 as well! As someone who tends to have a hard time actually,, DOING things, I think it'd be a nice motivator! Being able to write things achieved down and ticking off boxes gives me a huge mental boost!
I was looking for examples and came across your video, this was one of the best videos I have seen in a long time. Thank you for explaining so well. I will be looking at others and I did subscribe. Happy New Year
I thought of a video I'd really love to see from you, maybe even a mini series of them... how you create your themes. If it was the PET tape in this that started the theme, how did you pick Tombow colors, washi, pieces drawn versus pasted in... you make such lovely themes! I loved the August gold and blue floral. I can take a washi tape and try my hand at making a theme, but I end up using the washi tape in a static way, like at the top of the page, and I don't have additional elements like the pale grid you drew onto the page here, the kraft paper headers, and so on. (Honestly even a video about how to mix up using washi or other decorations so they don't get stale would be handy.) I probably can handle making a simple theme, even, but you've done such creative and elaborate themes in the past that I would never have a chance of making, even if duplicating yours. (I'm thinking of your 2023 black/white/gold dreamcatchers that are on a thumbnail nearby.) Please and thank you!
New year set ups are my favourite ♥ Set up my reading journal for 2024 but haven't 100% settled on my other journals for the new year. This was great inspiration. I'm thinking I'm gonna transform my current every day bujo to a yearly spread journal, so I don't waste it and can start next year in a fresh journal for my dailies. By the end of December I'll still have like half the journal empty so I need to do something with it.
I'm thinking that 2024 is the year I'm going to be starting a yearly journal. I personally like having one A5 bujo per calendar year, but for the first time ever, I am actually filling up the journal this year and I have felt very constricted when I've wanted to do more fun or experimental spreads. Seeing the way you've organized your various journals is inspiring me to do something special with those spreads that are outside my consistent monthly/weekly spreads.
Oh yay! Glad this gave you some ideas 😄 I feel you; I was trying to fit myself into two A5s each year and found that too restrictive, so have moved to 3 everyday journals and my yearly collections 🤙💜
Whoot Whoot. I ran out of my room at the end of September and started using a travelers for every day. I I fell in love with it, so I am excited to use a yearly collections journal and a travelers for the first time. Thanks for so many awesome ideas.
In 2024, I’m going to set up a yearly journal. Great idea, Jess. It will save me lots of time so I mid year when I set up a new daily journal, I won’t have so much to transfer. Yeah!
Oh my gosh! PLEEEEEEAAAASE do a wedding bujo set up!! 2025 bride here who cant figure out how to use my bujo skills to help with the chaos of wedding planning!?!
Ok this is GENIUS! I am not a bullet Journaler because I don't have time with 4 kids etc. But I DO love it. This gives me an excuse and I am a paper planner so I love this. Thank you for sharing. :)
I stole your word of the year idea, but instead did a tarot card of the year! It was so helpful to have that concept to check in periodically and make sure I'm aligning with my goals for the year :)
Love the colour palette, especially if it's what you end up using for your wedding - manifesting 2024 is the year for you! I'm currently setting up a journal that's not for me, and finding it hard to not want to set up all the things for myself in preparation for next year. You'd think I'd just power on through this one so I can get to my own, but you'd be mistaken 😂Anyway, you've given me a lot of inspiration in this video, and I'll definitely have to pop back for a rewatch when I can finally focus on my own journals 🙏
Thanks Chelle! 😄💜 can totally understand the wanting-to-work-on-a-specific-journal-while-working-on-another 😝 Me vs my December PWM vs new everyday journal 😂
Hi Jess. I just wonder about that letter that you write to yourself every year. If you could give some advise about the content or what topics us viewers could write about in the letter in a coming video. I was thinking of writing one to myself to read in the end of 2024 or beginning of 2025. But I haven't got any clue what to write about. Hopefully others will also be interested in this. Really love your videos, just found you. Maybe because I watch Erin Smith. Have a lovely summer day 😄 it's full winter were I live ☃
Beautiful set up! So happy to see that I am not the only one setting up my Bullet Journal for the new year in November already 🤣 thanks for sharing your beautiful set up
Ooooo that monthly favourites layout is so smart! I always struggle with doing any kind of fav layouts when they’re super structured each month cause some months I don’t read or watch anything new I only reread/rewatch (sometimes multiple months in a row, don’t judge me lmfao😂) so the idea of having a full spread of the months where I could just jot it all down in a free form list would be awesome!
Oh my goodness! I love this setup! Your videos are helping me to be brave enough to actually use some of my A&O notebooks! The colors used in this setup are just beautiful!
Thanks for sharing. I am getting so excited to start mine. I have a list of new things to add and you keep coming up with even more great ideas that I am going to use. 😜I love the year in review and monthly favorites! I love your channel so much!
If you could now just create a 2024 bujo spread ideas list for an 11yo, that'd be perfect. lol thank you, as always, for your inspiration! love your yearly spread ideas! (PS building a 2024 bujo for my 11yo, send help.....)
hi!! your videos helped me a lot in setting up my new journal for 2024 and i have learned a lot more about bullet journaling by your videos.tbh i got into bullet journaling when it was quite popular so i didn't really know anything about it but thankfully i have learned a bit about bullet journaling.thanks to you!😊😊
OMG Im having my wedding in 2024 and im using the washitape shop Frosty Rose tape to decorate cause it matches our colors!! Would love to see if you make any wedding themed bullet journal pages 💜
I love how you did your setup. I love how I can relate to the spaces you made, that I know I would use. I usually get so overwhelmed watching other creators do theirs, that it makes me too sad to do mine thinking it won't be as good as theirs. Thank you for this 💜 New subscriber here.
Glad to have you here with us! 💜 always love being able to share approachable inspiration with people, so glad to hear you saw some relatable layouts in this one 😊
Oh my goodness, so many wonderful options to keep in mind sonce im doing a new reading bullet journal and a new reference journal (almost like a long term journal) 💜
Finally the video I was waiting the most 😍 Beautiful set up Jess, I love it! For me, 2024 is the year I’m starting a yearly collection journal, I’m super excited to planning it. Plus, I was thinking to go with the board theme and floreal flower as well, so you can’t imagine how happy I am after this video. 🎉😍
I am super impressed with my memory right now because I recognized your wedding colors before you said that's what they were lol I never filled out last year's yearly collections, (probably because I couldn't find the journal after I set them up - I found it in August while looking for something else) so I think I'm just going to do a little number switching and use it for this coming year. These pages are really nicely done!
That is impressive! 😄💜 I think I mentioned it in the haul video when I got the tape 🤔 maybe 😝 Cool that you’re going to be able to repurpose the previous setup! 💪
@@JashiiCorrin that is where you mentioned it lol and I think at least one other time but that could have been the roll that wasn't pet tape cuz I have that one somewhere
Beautiful! I'll do for sure a 24 in '24 challenge and I'm tempted to do your version of 24x24 in '24 Let's see if I can come up with 24 realistic things that I could do 😅
Coming up with realistic things is always a challenge for me too 😂 this year I dropped 2 L of water daily to 1 L because effectively no 2 L days got recorded in 2021 😝
@@JashiiCorrin I feel you! Last month I tried to challenge myself with 2 liter too... and I dropped the challenge this month 😅 Anyway I found all 24!!! I focused on some goals for next year; my main areas are self care (beauty, media, creativity), not overspending (using my stuff&declutter) and connection (being social, dates, playing with my son, ecc...)
It might be in there somewhere 😂 I haven’t had a thorough look through in a minute 😝 I know that setting a wedding date is on my 2023 list of 101 things to do 😂
Ive watched alot of the videos though im not using a bujo im doing mine up similar to one. I get really frustrated because it never turns out right and then im stuck with the layout til the end of the month. I get it mistakes are meant to learn, but i dee her ideas and theyre awesome... It seems like i only get the good ideas AFTER i made everything. And i still screw up. March is gonna suck so bad but eh... Heres to learning i guess
You can pay your rates ahead of time and many councils give you a 10% discount if you do. I simply pay a certain amount each pay then when my rates are sent it says you owe nothing.
Mine don't give me a discount from my understanding, but they certainly don't give me a fee if I pay before the due date 😂 We did look into seeing if it were cheaper either way of paying weekly vs quarterly and there doesn't seem to be a difference 🤷♀️😅
What pen do you use to write on your washi tape? Like the kraft grid tape you use. I have SO MANY PENS and the only thing that writes on my washi is a sharpie marker, which is too thick.
The tape I've written on here is a paper tape, so literally just like kraft paper with a sticky backing. Any pen can write on that one thankfully 👌 For other washi tapes though, I normally don't write on them unless I use a paint marker, and even with that there can be difficulties depending on the tape 😅
Typically I would put weekly layouts or daily layouts in my "everyday journal" (which is in this setup video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YuTGg6zn3EM.html ) and I'd put those after the initial journal setup pages and any monthly pages. So the general order goes: - Start of journal stuff (longer-term trackers, scheduling, etc) - Monthly layouts (monthly task list, habit tracker, etc) - Weekly and daily pages for that month - Next month's monthly layouts - Next month's weekly and daily pages - Etc.
Mostly practice, and they're certainly not always as straight as I'd like, but I aim to lock my hand and wrist position in place, then drag my whole lower arm towards myself rather than turning my wrist 👌
Congrats on upcoming event planning! Are we going to see a dedicated planner for that? Somehow, it didn't make your 2024 lineup... at least not according to the video. You don't happen to recall where you got the cinnamon grid washi tape you were using with the kraft paper on the first page, do you? I've been looking for something like that, but haven't trusted any of the brands enough.
That one was specifically from a set that The Washi Tape Shop doesn't have anymore, but I've got a similar one from Stationery Pal 💪💜 stationerypal.com/collections/arts-crafts/products/solid-color-grid-washi-tape-brown?ref=2
Thanks for sharing this. I'm curious: which pen are you using to make the grid at the beginning of the video? I'm looking for inspo to go back into my planner, I haven't used mine since last April.
Let me put your wedding mentions on my 24 24's!!!!! Ilove thenewsprint and the floral arrangements... we are going to need a local to you registry link & a zoom shower event ma'am lol No pressure lol As far as the setup.... So stinkin' cute!!!!!!
