thank you for mentioning how long each spread takes. i always feel like i'm committing so much more time than other people, even for simpler spreads. these spreads are all so beautiful! i can't believe i've never seen your channel before

Thanks Hannah! I think it's good for me to be open with how long the layouts take me, especially when my videos are timelapsed! I don't want people to get down on themselves when things that longer than they otherwise thought they would 😅😋💜

I kinda do that every six months with the life of a journal, but some of my older ones didn’t have a lot of explanation with them 🤔 maybe for the oldest ones then! 😛

I love the rainbow colors! I used the same type of color scheme when I set up my bullet journal at the beginning of the year. I ran out of space in that one after May, though, so I started my new journal with June. I didn't copy over a lot of my "opening" spreads, because I have a bad habit of not going back to fill them out! lol I did the grid spacing, future log, and year in pics, because those were the only ones I really used. Then I went straight into monthly stuff.

You could use the new Archer & Olive kraft paper notePAD for mistakes on the Kraft paper section; cutting out a patch to tape/glue over top.

A challenge I did last February was that everyday I wrote down something I loved, and resolved to be proud of that love! It's super simple and super easy, but I really like it. It could be things you love about yourself or hobbies you do or shows or bands, but it has to be something you can be proud of.

I'm the same with the future log- I like having it even if I don't use it much. And I do it in the same layout you do, as it doesn't take up as much space as a vertical one!

Your spreads are so beautiful! I'm a bit late to the BuJo game and all, but I decided to start one now and set it up for the new semester (starting end of August that end of septembre bc of Corona rescheduling). Gonna put in also a holidays page of the 5 weeks vanlife with my fiancé and a 10 day bike trek just to kinda know when I was where and what I want to remember from specific days or places.

A couple finance challenges for the month are don't spend any money Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (harder than it sounds), or only allow a certain number of transactions for the month! It's easy to run errands, get coffee while out, drive through on the way home and by the time I get done I've had 5-6 transactions!!! It makes you plan the weekly purchases more in advance and (hopefully) make better choices. You could take these ideas though and put them with anything - no eating sweets Monday-friday, have a certain number of workouts you have to do during the month, etc.

I started my new journal back in June. I bought a new journal in Nov 2019, so I had Nov -dec in my journal. Witch only gave me space for Jan - May so therefore I had to start in June. But, I'm all caught up, and don't have to buy a new journal till the end of dec this year, so that way I can start fresh. Lol

@@JashiiCorrin I'm using the official Bullet Journal this time around. The pages are a bit thin, but there's only a bit of ghosting... minimal bleed through with certain markers or if I go over the same spot multiple times. :)

@@JashiiCorrin I think I average about 7-8 pages per month, so I should be able to keep one month contained to one paper type. Thinking of trying a bit of general journaling/memory keeping in the Kraft paper sections, which will give me 6 months worth of white and black sections, but who knows how that'll turn out 😂

Great idea with the Rainbow colors. I match the color(s) for the first pages with the one of the paper the journal has been bound to the cover. So my new starting pages for my 7th journal are primarily orange/orangered I'm starting a new one just because my current journal is running out of pages. The setup has only three pages because all other spreads will be shifted to my new long term collection BuJo

@@JashiiCorrin my journals are from the german brand “nuuna“ and are and four of my six nuunas have black sheets, so I simply used a random color. My current nuuna has yellow sheets at the front and here I started with the matching color. The new one, as I already sad, some kind of orange

I would say for your 20 in 2020 spread that going overseas or travelling could be an idea if this was normal circumstances, but obviously they're not. Maybe some domestic travel, exploring the country?

But your spreads are gorgeous and so detailed, so it is worth it!! I’m in awe at how much time you put into your spreads, and, as a result, how well they turn out! Normally I start with an idea, try to get it to turn out the way I want, get exasperated at my perfectionism and/or lack of artistic talent and end up with a lot of time spent and still a spread that looks not a darn bit like I’d hoped! 😂

I'm glad I started in a ~*slightly*~ cheaper notebook, but I'm also the kinda of person that really likes to "get a feel" for something using good equipment 😅 hard to say 'cause it really depends on personal preferences!

I did the filming for this one all at once 😄 The sketching out of the spreads was done over a few days though as I pieced together what I wanted
