UPDATE: The Charlotte Tilbury bronzer is more long lasting than Chanel. At the time when I'm writing this comment I have been wearing both for nearly 8 hours. The Charlotte Tilbury side hasn't changed at all. The Chanel size is a little bit paler and the bronzer is fading. I will share more updates in a future video. Sending love to all of you and have a beautiful day! xoxo
I was just going to ask how long lasting they are! Especially in warmer weather and if one has combination or oily skin. Thanks very much for the detailed review.
I like the Chanel one more. CT looks a bit muddy because of the grey in it. It's more fore contouring for my preferences. I have the nudegasm palette, so I'm fine with that, since the contour shade is quite similar to this cream bronzer :)
I think the CT side gave you more of a contoured and lifted appearance. The Chanel side just added a bit of a bronzy look. The affect to what I see on camera was completely different. I think using them together would be even better as the CT acted as more of a contour and the Chanel over as bronzer. I personally don’t contour but the two creams I think would look quite nice w one another. No need to apologize regarding nothing on the eyes! Looks beautiful without. Would be interesting however to see the CT bronzer as contouring on the eyes. Daily I really only use contour shades of powder on my eyes. You are lovely thank you for the video❤️
Thank you so much for the wonderful words Jennifer. I will definitely try the CT bronzer as eye contour. I think it will look very nice. Also I love the idea to use CT as contour and Chanel as bronzer on top. xoxo
A fellow European here who loves a flat white in a porcelain cup! ☕ I've just picked up the Chanel Les Beiges sun kissed powder in Light so I will skip the CT launch x x
For me the Chanel cream bronzer is a little ruddy on me, the Charlotte Tilbury cream bronzer is perfect for my particular skin tone! Thank you for the comparisons Angela & you look beautiful as per normal! X
First thoughts: the CT bronzer shade is similar to the Fenty cream bronzer shade called Butta Biscuit. I preferred the Chanel over the Fenty. CT is not a brand that I have enjoyed in the past except for their lip liners. Thank you for this thorough review! And I LOVE coffee in the morning, preferably in a nice mug. But will grab an on the go cup if need be 🖤
Haha we do rush around here so always to-go cups! I’d love to spend 2 weeks enjoying coffee at a leisurely pace people and sight watching. Thank you for the comparisons! I was curious how it compares with Chanel. Good to know the quality is there.
Grazie Angela, ottima recensione!Sono italiana e vivo in Italia, per noi la mattina non può cominciare senza un caffè espresso, rigorosamente in tazzina!😊
Hello Angel! Thanks so much for this honest comparison! They both look gorgeous on you, when I add a cream bronzer to my collection I will keep the CT in mind for sure!
Hi Angela, new here, I'm glad I have found your channel! Thanks for the detailed demo and comparison, to me it looks like the CT bronzer has some green hue in it. I'm a super fan of the Chanel bronzer for years, and I have got the 2 additional colours - I absolutely adore all of them. For a change, I was considering to try the CT since I run out of the 392 from Chanel, but after watching your video, I would not, sticking to Chanel, since sun kissed skin has some redness which is more natural looking. Thank you once again! ❤
I have shade 2 medium I think - I loveee it!! I’m very surprised at how smooth application is no smudge, or blotchy spots and agree it lasts!! Very much impressed ❤️ sometimes CT is hit and miss , more hit but this is big hit!
Thank you for such a detailed comparison. Please never apologize for not applying a lot of makeup. There's nothing wrong with a minimal approach, it's refreshing!💜
This is a great comparison. From other videos the medium CT shade is more similar to the Chanel which runs quite warm. I found it too orange for my pale skin so perhaps the cooler toned fair CT bronzer you have here might be a better fit for me.
Wonderful video, thank you for your review!! I own both bronzers, the CT in the lightest shade, and the Chanel one as well in the lightest colour (390, I believe). In all honesty, the CT one looks like..mud. Not to be rude, I guess it must be my skintone; I am rather pale, but with an olive undertone and I tan quite easily due to my heritage 😅 The Chanel one looks like an actual, beautiful, creamy bronzer and makes me look sunkissed!! I recommend the lightest CT bronzer as contour (I don‘t contour, so I guess I‘ll use it on my body instead).
Hi Angela I'm still loving my Chanel cream bronzer to be honest have been using this for a while now I find it very natural on my skin. Hope you have a great day. Take Care. Gill 🇬🇧 xoxo
Hello Gill :) I also love the original Chanel bronzer. Enjoy it! It's absolutely gorgeous!!! A huge thank you for always watching and for all your support! Sending you much love. xoxo
Hi Angela, Thank you for your honest opinion. My parents are originally from Italy. Here in Canada we would always have an expresso in the small porcelain cups after a pasta lunch every Sunday. They are both gone now so Thank you for the reminder..
I’m pretty sure the CT bronzer would look more like mud on me. But beautiful packaging. I am currently using Chanel in the lightest shade. Your content is always helpful and enables us to purchase wisely. I clean my brushes after each use. Otherwise, I think we’re putting bacteria on our face. Thanks Angela!
Hi Angela, I prefer the Chanel Bronzer to the CT. The CT looked a bit muddy on camera. I have the Chanel that came out a couple years ago. It leans too gold on me so I can't wait to try this shade as the one last year is too dark. Great review as always🥰
Have you tried the Huda tan tour in fair? If so, how would you compare it to the Charlotte tilbury as I HATE the Chanel with a passion (it’s orange as orange can be on me) 😅
I would have loved a flat white a few years ago, but I weaned myself from adding milk or sugar/sweetener to my espresso during lockdown. I love shots of black espresso now! Double shot are even better. I am fair with a slightly warm tone and like the Chanel bronzer - I have the original formula - worn lightly all over my face just for some color. I don’t contour anymore but the CT looks like it would work as contour on me. 😘😘😘
I think the color of the CT is prettier. The Chanel reads red toned. I also need a cool toned bronzer because i have pink and red undertones to my skin color.
Hi Angela, thanks for getting this video up so fast. I find, for those of us who want the light shade, wer looking at a contour shade almost and so I agree that a big fluffy brush might not be the best. When I use the Chanel bronzer with their brush I find it's so perfect. I went to sleep late and the Charlotte Tilbury cream bronzer were not yet available, then I woke early the next morning and they were sold out. I'm kind of thinking of my Westman Atelier in Biscuit and wondering if they could be quite similar....oh yeah - The Nudegasm palette too...💡....thanks Angela. 10 out of 10 😳 Please never apologize, you are such a great help. 👋🏻😁👍🏻
Thank you for the comparison. The Charlotte Tilbury looks more like a contour which is fine because you wear it in the hollow of your cheek but for me I wear bronzer where the sun hits my face so I think the Chanel is actually better and I ordered it based off this comparison so thank you very much!
Thank you for your great comparison review! Helpful! I have a bit of worry about the CT bronzer as the formula seems very clay like and therefore similar to their matte eyes to mesmerize and that is one dry formula that also dries out in the tub very quickly. So I wonder what will happen with this rather stiff formula too in that large flat pan… it remains to be seen but I do think it will dry out in the pan quickly. It seems the new chanel colour is more similar to its original soleil tan de chanel pan, (the one I still mourn as the new formula is nowhere near as good as the old). I dislike that the new formula is coconut oil based as that dissolves foundation underneath and makes the wear time very short as it also dissolves in a way on itself… It works better on tinted moisturisers and bare skin. But the original formula is still unbeatable if you ask me. The CT one with its clay-like formula will hopefully have better staying power but can perhaps also look a bit more pasty on the skin. It’s hard to see that on camera though, but I think the chanel side looked a bit more transparent and veil like on your skin while the CT one looked a bit more opaque and pasty. But it could also be the colour. The chanel colour suits your skin tone better as the CT one is very cool toned almost like a contour shade. (I am guessing there is also a shade missing in the line as to me at least there is a significant gap between fair and medium in the range so there is probably meant to be a “light” one between the current shades? If so I wonder why it’s not featured in the release… 🤔 Could it be there is a problem with the formula or the chosen colour perhaps? Personally I think the shade range now is a bit lacking as I believe the fair colour is probably going to be a bit too cool toned for most fair to light skinned people who are looking for bronzers to warm up the skin. The fair one is really a bit of an unusual choice of colour to me as I find it to be a bit too dark to suit the fairest of skin tones but too cool toned to be a good bronzer for fair to light skin tones… But Thank You again for making this comparison available! ❣️
Great review!! I really wanted to compare this products :) I do not like the gray tone of CT, I have the duo and seems like it is the same tone, I only like it for winter time. I agree it looks like it will dry faster, I have the Chanel bronzer since two years now and stilk perfect. I am a tea person in the mornings :)
In my opinion and from the "you tube" perspective of course, the chanel has a more suitable colour for your skin colour (it looks alive and not muddy or greyish)but I prefer the way you applied the CT bronzer. Furthermore ,in the chanel side you applied much less bronzer and it might have made it last a bit less. If CT lasts longer ypu may juat combine these two in order to earn the warmth and the longevity . I guess that charlotte's bronzer might suit best on soft summer colour type or maybe anyone with a bit olive skin or absolutely very pinkish cool type of colour ...and you are clear winter!those with neutral ,ivory colour should wear a more red but not orangey bronzer. Orange bronzer suits the warmer more yellowish skin colours like autumn types or some springs
Angela, thank you for a very detailed & thorough comparison of the two bronzers. So very helpful to see both on your face. Thank you for the review & swatches!! 😊❤️
Hi Angela! Thank you for giving such a beautiful demonstration of the products! I enjoy watching your videos and I don’t miss any of them. I like both bronzers on you! I can’t wait to see each one in person! I’m a long time subscriber, therefore first time commenting! I would like to ask you about the Chance Eau Tendre music box. What do you think about it? Is it worth purchasing it? I would like to hear your opinion on this matter and if you are planning to get it? Once again thank you 😊 greetings from Australia.
Hi Angela, thank you for showing the Charlotte Tilbury and Chanel cream bronzers. For me, the star product was the cream highlighter that you applied! You won't need to worry about the CT bronzer drying out. She released a cream version of her Filmstar Bronze and Glow in the 2016 CT x Norman Parkinson collection and it has not dried out at all.
Great review Angela! I can’t wait to get my hands on the new Chanel Les Beiges powder and cream and now I do want to get Charlottes lol, Im very pale and the color fair might work well! 🙌🏻🔝🖤
Hello Angela 🥰 well the two bronzers suits you beautifully. I have the nude gasme palette from CT and I really love it. And now... I don't know what to do. I love this fair color but I also love the Chanel one. But I have so much open cream products that I have to choose only one... And it's hard. I prefere cool tones so maybe the CT is the one but I have the face palette.... With the sun there are many products that I want to share or buy... Thank you so much for your swatches it helps me always a lot 🥰😘 I don't have look at your description box yet but hope you have the French links ❤️😘
I appreciate your comparisons! I missed out on the CT fair bronzer, and I'm very close to your skin tone. I'm considering the medium out of impatience, but I really should wait for the fair😄
Hi Angela, I’m not sure if you have this brand where you are at a Sephora they carry a brush cleaner by Cinema Secrets… it is AMAZING!!! A lot of professional makeup artists use it because you can use the cleaned brush almost instantly afterwards…it was created by a Hollywood makeup artistry family if you get a chance you should try it! I tried it a couple years ago on someone’s recommendation and I haven’t used anything else since!😍❤️💕
Hi Angela, So far, the best coffee I have ever had was both in Paris and in The Netherlands. Every morning I could not wait to wake up and enjoy my coffee. I have yet to visit Italy, but I will get there soon. When I get to go I want to stay for at least one month so that I can experience as many regions as possible. Regarding the bronzers...I think the shade of CT you purchased looks more like a contour on your skin tone. Take care!
hi Angela. Regarding the coffe, in our home we drink our espresso in a demitasse cup. Always have. We a very large collection from antiques to others collected from our trips. Believe me espresso taste sooo much beter in a "real" cup. As for make up I did see some promo photos of the up coming Guerlaine quads and I can't wait. Hope they release them here in U S and not just in Asia. Hope your weekend is a great one. Keep beautiful always. XOO
I am debating between these 2 bronzers, I am fair skin and I like a bronzer that is not orange BUT I am afraid that the CT is leaning towards brown and not red and that would not look natural on me, when I have a tan I don't look brown at all. I used to have nars laguna cream bronzer and I decluttered that because it was looking muddy on me and not bronzed, on the other side the shade casino that is leaning more red is just perfect. Soooo, maybe Chanel then would be better.
L‘oréal still uses CI 77491 as a red pigment, which is a brick red iron oxide and gives us the 1980s orange face. They better switched to CI 15850, which is an authentic red like the blood in our veins.
Thank you Angela for doing this useful comparison and adding that the Chanel bronzer faded sooner. Both bronzers look so gorgeous on you - I do prefer the Chanel for packaging but I prefer the C for wear-time. Que faire??? Maybe you will find a way to improve the longevity of the Chanel bronzer, and do an update video…Then I will have exactly what I want ; - ) Thanks again.
I love your reviews and I would love to buy some of the stuff you feature. But, I am on a makeup no-buy until Cyber Weekend which is at the end of November. So, November is month 11 and May is month 5: six more months for no makeup purchases. To explain, the pandemic mask-wearing caused me to not use up stuff fast enough and I am now using up makeup, sort of as normal. (My stash is so bad that I do not even need mascara and we all blow through mascaras.)
Both the CT and Chanel bronzers looked fabulous on you, Angela in their own right! 🤩👍🏻 CT has a more contouring, sculpting effect and Chanel looks more natural and sun kissed. I guess it is all about what you like. I prefer more of a sculpted look, so even though I am a Chanel lover, I do like the CT better. Since you discussed morning coffee ☕️, I do like a cafe latte or a light black coffee(Americano) in the morning. Thank you, thank you for the review! ❤️I hope Angela and all of you have a great weekend! 🥰❤️🍀
Hello Christina :) Thank you for the wonderful comment. I agree that CT is best used as contour and Chanel gives more sun kissed look. I wanted to thank you for watching my videos. It means so much to me. xoxo
Hello Joan :) Thank you so much for watching! :) The CT bronzer works better as a contour while Chanel gives a more natural sun kissed look. But of course it all depends on your skin tone and preferences. Both are gorgeous in my opinion. Have a wonderful day! xoxo
