me too , i left bob a message asking him to strike up a relationship with him as i sensed he was a genuine searcher of truth. @chrismusix5669 it's Greek for "and the Son" and it has to do with the Nicene Creed from 325 and 381. The original said "I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father." The Latins added "and the Son" without the consent of an Ecumenical Council. It caused a ton of theological debate and an eventual split between east and west. Up until the great schism in 1054, the church was one. On a side note, the reformation happened 500 years after that event and the result is massive splintering that continues to this day.

It wouldn’t make sense when the Holy Spirit, who is the personification of the Love between the Heavenly Father and Son only goes one way. The Son has to love the Father back for the Love to be perfect. Put aside the, “Oh, you didn’t do this the right way and go through us so this is not correct” This is something that is theologically sound and shouldn’t be causing division. It’s also quite a bad practice to say, “hey, this is what we have been doing for centuries so this must be correct and never changed”, if that’s the case, the existence of Jesus is something new and radical to the Jews too so people should not accept Jesus?

The Nicene Creed states there is one God, Father almighty and from Him proceeds the Holy Spirit and from whom is the begotten Son (begotten not made). If the Son has the hypostatic property of procession, this means the Father is not the sole arche of divinity of the Trinity. St. Gregory Palamas wrote a treatise on this and Eastern Catholics recognize him as a Saint.
