This is the direction behaviour needs to go towards. More gamemodes. This genuinely makes the game so much more fun!

I saw DBD's post thinking "haha very funny Behaviour, good April's Fool's joke", wouldn't have logged in and realised it was real if not for this vid! lol

The gamemode uses custom variants of Rotten Fields & Wreckers' Yard that removes the shack (since it'd be too easy for the tiny survivors to stall by hiding in there where the massive Oni can't fit in) & puts another landmark there! I've noticed that on Rotten Fields it's typically either a hill or some random filler objects, and on Wreckers' Yard it's usually the Gas Heaven sign! The gamemode itself is SO silly, so fun & quick, and I really hope BHVR has more gamemode ideas that are just as equally daft in the best way possible.

We all know this is secretly alpha testing Godzilla as a killer! ;) Seriously though, if we get more goofy fun game modes like this I'll be perfectly happy and ok with that.

Would have also been super funny if the killer could hook and there was a new hooking animation fit for the size, where he picks up survivors by the back of their clothes with 2 fingers, like picking up a napkin from the floor

Honestly, this is awesome. Lights Out flopped but this is exactly what I expected from new gamemodes: silly and ridiculous ideas just to spice things up a bit :)

This is all to tests the boundaries of making Godzilla the next licensed killer

Honestly this is probably the boldest and best thing BHVR has done in a while. Showing that they are willing to tweak base game mechanics to extreme degrees (starting at 2 hooks, redesigning maps to fit the style, even the fact that the survivors get broken instantly with no perk influence) The devs put a ton of unseen, but very substantial work into this mode and I really hope it's a sign of things to come. Well done BHVR!

Last week in game I returned after months of dormancy and changed my name to Oniluvr420 and my pfp to Itto because I could. Today, my birthday, they do this. I know it's for the meme holiday, but 30 years I've shared my birthday with this day, and today? Today I'm pretending this is my present from the universe. Thanks to you specifically Otz for the edited oni grippers though, thems the real treat ❤

I'm assuming every time a gen is done, the next time you enter x meters for each survivor you see their aura for y seconds. This seems super fun though!

I feel like this might be them testing the waters for a larger than usual killer which would be really cool

All im saying is that this proves that a giant killer in dbd could work with enough thought

See, this is when you know that Otz has 100% control over BHVR decisions because we got a giant feet mode and we all know how he feels about them southern planks…

IMAGINE IF THEY ADD KILLER OF THAT SIZE IN GAME! LIKE REAL TITAN FROM AOT OR SIREN HEAD OR LITERALY ANYTHING THAT JUST THAT BIG

Now all of a sudden a legitimately sized Queen Xenomorph or Jurassic Park T-Rex dont seem so far fetched....

This should be permanent. This way they can open this with some new killers. Godzilla, big foot, and etc. There is a lot of potential with this game mode plus with a little tweaking it has a lot of potential especially with the whole one giant vs several mini survivors.

You know, for a incomprehensible being of undeniable evil that kidnaps psychopaths and people to feast off of their emotions, The Entity sure does have a good sense of humor.

I love seeing bhvr getting comfortable doing new game modes, even for just a short time. Gives me hope that we will get more in the future. Ps: Love you Otz

They really dropped the ball with not letting us use the armored Titan skin for oni

They gotta keep it up with new game modes and updates to gameplay. And make em available to customs with some other features maybe. I feel like we need to worry about balancing but new interesting gameplay just as much and maybe things like upgraded cosmetics and qol things.

Hopefully BHVR keeps adding more events and modes like this. To truly admit, I never expected something like this XD

I think this is a great April Fools event, but it woulda been even better if it was like what I thought of when I saw the title: just a teeny-tiny Oni running around and zooming with power lol
