The police appear to have connected their suspect with DNA and are hopeful of a conclusive conviction. If this is the case, the police investigators deserve huge credit. I went to high school with Bryan, anyone will tell you that no one is surprised. He always kept to himself , was socially withdrawn, and was weirdly obsessed with serial killers and murder tv shows like forensic files.

How does one guy stab 4 people to death in a house full of 6 people. Two of the victims shared a room. Did he drug them first? One victim had defensive wounds but no one was woken up. Unbelievable
They were fast asleep and most like were drinking earlier that night. And depending where he first stabbed, they may have not been able to scream (like slashing throat or stabbing lungs)

Well, they have his DNA from the crime scene...that's a fact. I've heard there wasn't a sexual assault, so he must have cut himself during the murders. Also, one victim fought back, so maybe DNA was found under her fingernails.
Ancestry DNA and others should publicize the fact that they will give the government your dna if they ask for it. I dont think most people are aware if this. Is should be illegal.

It's all publicized. Some companies require you to opt out of your DNA to be shared with LE and some companies you have to opt in to share it with LE and companies like Othram. If he is the sole killer there would only of been two Ydna samples from that night and if him and Ethan are different specific haplogroups than that already narrows it down. They're both probably different subsets of R1B so you simply go from there. There would only be 2 Ydna samples from that night, think about it. You don't need your specific family for your DNA to be further narrowed down, they need the SNPs, cross correlation of evidence, an arrest for a felony, take the DNA than they have the STRs.

It's also the demeanor of a guilty person. An innocent person who was wrongly arrested and thrown in a cell would act outraged. Not calm and polite. I just hope he knows that even if Kaylee hadn’t “done everything right”, she still wouldn’t have deserved to be harmed. He's an intelligent guy, after they lay out their key case and he talks to his parents and lawyer, he might be able to negotiate his way out of death penalty, by maybe providing a full confession /plead guilty. Maybe prosecutors are willing to negotiate it down to life if the parents prefer & /or in exchange for additional info.

Mr. Goncalves has come a long way in realizing the wisdom of keeping investigative information out of the public until it's officially released. If his lawyer has done nothing more than help him navigate how to respond meaningfully while protecting the case, he has earned his keep. Protecting the case is the best way this dad can still protect his daughter. He can protect her justice. He did a wonderful job, here.

He was a suspect very early on, when cops got his partial license plate in the vicinity during the murders, confirming car's color, make, model and registered owner on video. So now there are different takes on the suspect from fellow students. Earlier reports say he looked and acted more upbeat after the murders. Now he looked disheveled and worried. It sounds like people are being influenced by the news more than actually recalling his behavior or appearance. Something is not right.

I hope if I will be accused of a crime in the future and people I know don’t know if I‘m innocent or guilty that they all won’t come out of the woodwork and speak to the media telling every little thing I‘ve done wrong in the past. not saying that he is innocent, I think there is a high possibility that he is the person but there are cases where someone was accused and it turned out he is innocent. how must it feel when you see all the people you knew talking about you to the media and already telling every little detail before a conviction.
I really hope they have the right suspect in custody. There was a lot of pressure on law enforcement to find the killer, and so I hope there were no oversights. Bryan is innocent until proven guilty. He should get life behind bars if he is eventually found guilty of killing 4 innocent students. My heart goes of to the victims' families. I can't imagine their pain at losing a loved one in this heinous manner. The victims deserve justice, and I really hope the right suspect is in custody.

I was assaulted When I was in college. I know the staff Knew who did what and when, but the staff did nothing to prevent what I went through. After the assault, the same students and those involved Kept Finding out my locations, and stalked me. even trying to hit me with their car at one point of time. and I have no doubt in any belief that the College/University Staff in this case knew. and probably knew everything. I am left with Being able to see out of my right eye, Both hips Damaged, a compressed spine. tons of pain from my neck down. The Assault left me with, a near concussion(if not a concussion) and a massive bruise on my forehead for a year. They also did something else, which I can not even go into detail here. When will these colleges and universities be held accountable for their part's in these crimes?

The evidence is sealed until he arrives in Idaho. In order for them to get a search and arrest warrant they would need some hard evidence to get a judge to sign off.
Bcuz people can have their own opinions whether you like them or not. And they most likely have pretty good evidence like dna. When he is found guilty based on evidence, all you " it's weird how everyone is 100% sure he is guilty" will slink away and never be heard from in the comments again.
