I’m so glad I have all the old formula quints I wanted. The new formula is a pass for me unless there is some wildly great color story. I’m sad, but my wallet is happy, I guess! Congratulations on the puppy! I can't help but think if a Fude brush took the form of a puppy, it would be that puppy. Ideally it won't find its way into your makeup collection though, I anticipate that would create a lot of kickup across all the pans.
Hi Lexi! Plum Tutu looks more brown and maroon than plum. Very dark. So grateful for this detailed review. I have existing palettes that I like more. Especially since the performance has been altered but not improved or even as good as the existing quints. Congratulations on your new puppy! I love, love, love dogs.
So far it seems that these high end makeup reformulations are a mistake. Unfortunately, Dior has made too much of an investment to change these into something better in the near future. I hope they leave the nail color alone. Chanel's reformulation chips in one day! Along with Dior, they had the best nail lacquer out there. It's a shame. Saving me a lot of money though. I have to admit that I'm surprised the Chanel np reformulation is chipping so quickly on some people. I wonder if it varies with the shades because I have actually had the opposite experience if I don't use a top coat. I find with a top coat it gets too thick and chips more easily. Ok. I have to say. Your puppy is Adorbs !!! These quints. Are not the same. Even Jen -Allfeisty said they aren’t So disappointing from Dior. I have the original, Mitzah and It’s one of my favs. Now, I will save money. I did want more. But not anymore 😂❤❤thank you for such a great review. Oh and I do not like glitter My eyes are too sensitive now
Hi Lexi, I'm hearing words like inconsistent, patchy, problematic mattes, shimmers to hide the patchiness...yet another disappointing reformulated quint which is only slightly better than the other one you reviewed. Needless to say when it's not broken there's no need to fix it and make it worse, lol. We count on you for honesty, in-depth research, detailed reviews, comparisons and more... so thank you for saving many people the disappointment. That said, I'm so excited for your new puppy you quickly showcased at the end...can anything be more adorable?!? Yes, we need the details on your newest addition to your family and how this cutie is fitting into your filming schedule and super busy schedule!

I hate that they are doing the whole clean thing with Dior, just to go with a trendy phrase. I want clean food and clean water, not clean makeup that expires quicker and doesn't perform as well. I don't need clean beauty that's cleaner than the air I breath. I mean this is going to save a lot of people a lot of money since it's not as good as before but I really liked the old formula and now I'm afraid I won't use the stuff I love as much because I don't want to run out of it. Thank you for taking on the cost of those two palettes to let us know the changes.

Thank you for your review. So far the swatches and colors have not wowed me over the older reformulation. I might just pass this reformulation with eyeshadows and blushes too! awww your puppy melts my heart. Its so cute with its perked up ears! Cant wait to hear about it in future videos.
You look great, Lexi! I had a feeling this reformulation wasn’t going to be good for those of us who loved the formula. It’s really a shame, “clean beauty” has its place but not everyone is interested in that fad. Cute puppy!

Hi Lexi !! Thanks for sharing your experience with the new quads . I think it’s great that a lot of brands our trying to go clean or cleaner beauty, but unfortunately most of the reformulations I’m hearing are not up to scratch /very short shelf life . I really hope they do not mess with the foundation formula. The colour story is pretty and looks really nice on you 😊. But easy pass for me . 🤗💕
I actually like the shades more in the new formulation of the plum Tutu - but I prefer warmer tones. As for the formula, I ordered 429 Toile De Jouy, and if I don’t like the formula, I will be promptly, returning. Thanks so much for your review, Lexi!
Hi @Lexi - like many others have said, I’m so glad I have the plum tulle and tutu quints. This new plum tutu is far too warm for me and definitely not a substitute for plum tulle and tutu. Luckily I have all my fave Dior quints in the old formula and I won’t be adding any of the new quints unless there are new cool and or purple tones released at some point - and the quality is good per your reviews 😊 It will be interesting to see if/how all these reformulations affect Dior’s sales…personally my Dior beauty spend will reduce significantly moving forward as I’ll pretty much be sticking to the lip products. I do really enjoy the Dior Addict lippies. Thanks for your thorough and honest review as always Lexi 🙏💖
I think I will be spending a lot less on Dior too. I really loved the old formula so I would get most palettes and now I will be more selective for sure.
I’m on new prescription allergy eye drops, so I’ll be steering clear of eye products for some time. Still, I appreciate and respect your opinions. Your puppy!! I can’t wait to meet her. Anything you want to share about her would be delightful.♥️ I had a sweet schnauzer for 16 wonderful years, and I don’t know if another dog is in my future. It’s like having a toddler. Love them so much. How is the transition going? I’m sure your girls are ecstatic! Thanks for all your hard work.

Thanks Lexi for ur review and integrity. I would like to pick up tutu old quint but its life shelf is only 6 month. For how long do u have yours and do you notice any quality defects after six months span 😢 Please advice me if it is worth to pick it up and expiry within 6 months
I have not noticed any differences after the 6 months is up. Mine are definitely older than that and just as good as when I bought them. I think it's worth picking up and honestly, I would keep it until you notice any texture changes or smells. Powder products can typically last much longer.
Hi Lexi, really love the Dior color stories, but I’m thinking from your review that I can find better quality eyeshadow palettes elsewhere. Would you mind sharing your favorite eyeshadow palette brands? I’m considering Tom Ford and Surratt. What are your opinions on these? I think you mentioned in one video about a Viseart palette, and maybe Byredo? I can’t be sure. Maybe at some point you could do a video of your favorite brands for each category in makeup, if you want to of course - I am off to watch your concealers smackdown as we speak!! 😂 thank you as always.
Thank you! I will definitely look into doing that! In the meantime, Tom Ford Creme and Wet/Dry formulas are great, Byredo, Surratt, Suqqu, Viseart, and Cle de Peau (new ones coming next month) are all wonderful!
So, dear Lexi, where you advise us to turn for good quality, reliably consistent eye palettes? I readily admit to having mostly Chanel, with the odd one from other brands. The Burberry holiday palette was divine! Dior was the brand I had high hopes on always providing the dream eye palettes. Maybe Viseart?
I need to try the new ESUM palettes but I've heard good things so far, Viseart, Burberry, SUQQU, Cle de Peau are consistently good. I'm sure there are more but those are the ones I can think of that are truly consistent.

Thank you Jocelyne! The entire was look is Plum Tutu. I am definitely keeping her out of my makeup area unless she is sitting on me (which had to happen today for a few minutes as I was almost done filming when she woke up).
This whole rebranding is a bust. I understand that Dior wants to enter the "clean" beauty market, but if the quality of their products is inferior to what they were, I, for one, will not be buying them any longer. I hope they didn't destroy their foundations.
Ironically, I did purchase a velvet quad and then returned it because of the formula! It’s rare for me to return makeup, so I must have been really unhappy with it. I guess all the new quads will be a pass for me :( Thanks for the review as I have green eyes and always love a good purple pallet!! Just not this one…
