I haven't bought a thing from Dior this year. I wanted Mimirose, which is showing up on the US website with the other quints, as if it will be part of the regular line. I signed up for Alerts. So it will be interesting to see if it returns. Dior used to be a brand I bought a lot. But that 6 month expiration has deterred me. Especially for the new lipstick reformualtion. "Clean" products without preservatives, go bad quickly. And I don't use the same lipstick every day, so they would just go bad. And they're more expensive! But I love your blue, watercolor look. I want to try your first look, but then put the blue topper over it. I missed Parure Cristal, so I have that look in my head. Thanks for the video!💚
My pleasure Deborah! I love the soft blues of this palette but I don’t know what to make of this short lifespan of the palette. It’s not realistic or sustainable.
@@AllisonChase Agreed. I tried some "clean" brands like the original Kosas foundation and Bite Beauty lipsticks, and had to throw them all out. They went bad in Less than 6 months. So I won't risk it. I'm hoping powder shadow won't turn rancid, like those other products did. But I want preservatives in my products. So, after decades as a loyal Dior customer, they are losing me.
I am glad, that someone mentions the shelf life.... Isn't this part of the price tag? I mean CdP offers for the majority of their products 24 months so I already have a better value for my money especially when owning a good amount of make up. Passed on everything due to my no buy 😊. I have a milestone birthday next week and I find when I arrive at each stage in life, I lose a bit of confidence with what and how I should be wearing make-up. I feel you! I too am approaching a milestone birthday and I sometimes wonder whether “I should be more realistic” at my age…and some days I say “ if it feels good, just do it” cheers to our respective milestones!
Oh thank you! Congratulations on that milestone birthday. That sounds really tough. We often turn to beauty to uplift us, but as we age certain techniques or old favourites turn on us.

This is such a lovely look. I have very dark brown eyes, dark hair and light skin and with my hooded lids I feel I like neutral shadows don’t make my eyes pop😭😅
This is prettier than I expected! I like both looks on you 💜I've been watching a few channels and they've all mentioned the 6 month expiry. Looking at my (much) older Dior shadows and they all have a 6 month expiry. The multiple reformulations and/or removal of certain (or all) preservatives may have more of an impact on longevity with the current releases. Time will tell. Thank you for the review!!
Thank you so much for sharing that information concerning expiration dates. Time will definitely tell. I have lots of palettes that said they would expire after a year and half…here we are several years later and they haven’t turned yet.
It's a very beautiful eyeshadow palette for spring, the 2 makeups are very pretty. I really like the gloss, beautiful. I completely understand the spirit of this perfume, it is towards my home, the Mediterranean, the Côte d'Azur, the fig trees. Thank you Allison for this tutorial💗💗💗

Hi Allison! Thank you for featuring the Mimirosa quint. I was very curious about how the colors translate on the lids. The looks you created are both pretty but the 6-month shelf life is off-putting. I have not picked up anything in Dior since buying the Backstage 9-pan palette in the cool tones.

Wow-I love both sides, but the periwinkle side is speaking to my inner fairy 🧚♂️ 😂 I just saw the new Chanel eye palette with all neutrals and a beautiful, ethereal shade of blue, and I immediately thought of you! (Charlotte Holdcroft did a couple looks with it). I would love to see a comparison between the Dior and that Chanel palette -in my mind’s eye, they seem similar. Hi Allison, I am in the United States, and I cannot get my hands on my shade of Dior capture totale foundation anywhere, is that because it is being reformulated? There are only one or two of the darker colors left at any store or online website I have looked at.
