@@Imaginerding I found The Imagineering Story absolutely wonderful in covering the history and creativity of the Imagineers on Disney+ so probably Leslie Iwerk's book. I have the 1st edition of The Poster Art of Disney Parks, so I'm looking forward to seeing what the second edition has. I know nothing about Dick Nunis so him being Walt Disney's apprentice sounds quite interesting.
Hi George, you will post a review of the Imagineering book? I am really curious to see how is done inside, because I am uncertain to buy or not. Thank you
@@Imaginerding Really really thank you! Your channel is my favourite about Disney Parks because I love Disney parks books, I have a big collection, and you review all the books, so I can decide if to buy or not. Sometimes for me is difficult, because I am not English native speaker, I am Italian. Really thank you for your job, I appreciate a lot ❤
I’ve been reading it. It’s hard to get through. They are telling a white washed version of their history and there is a lot of focus on Joe Rohde, which is disappointing. Plus, there is no bibliography and they’re is no index, so you can’t verify any of the stories.
Whitewashed meaning they are writing their own history and distorting some of the facts to make themselves look better. And I’m just not a fan of Rohde’s hyper realism. He’s treated as if he’s an Imagineering god and I prefer the fantasy worlds Disney creates instead of the realism.
