Love this haunted house tutorial. Useful tip: Use battery-operated lights since they have a timer & will automatically turn on/off each day. Plus, I won't have to worry about finding a place to set this house next to an outlet to plug in. Thank you for this great idea! 🏚👻🦇

I have never crafted anything but I love Halloween and I love your idea. I got my stuff together and made it today. I couldn’t find the contact paper but I bought a single sheet of craft paper at Hobby Lobby for 25 cents that looks just like what you used. I’ve never used Mod Pod, not too crazy about that or hot glue. I was sooo excited that mine turned out looking just like yours. We’ve got to come up with something to put around the door. It looks bare So cool. Thank you for your idea. Can’t wait to see what other holiday ideas you come up with !

We made this tonight! It came out so cute! We used a brown stain instead of contact paper and my daughter made a door. She used one of the skulls in the bag and painted red eyes. What a fun project!👻🎃👻

I love it, I did one about the same for my nephew and he loved it. This would also make a great gingerbread house for Christmas.

Good morning! I accidentally stumbled upon this video after making 3 of these, but different from yours. Mine are 3 dimensional about an inch thick to set on picture holders. Erica, I loved your haunted house so much that I ran with all your inspiration and created my own. My husband said it looks so good that he hopes it becomes one of our favored heirlooms. I can't wait for my kids (adults now) and grandson to come over and see it. I'm thinking about creating another one for my grandson to use as a nightlight in his room. I'm so excited. Haunted house is totally awesome!!!

This turned out so cute & clever. My only suggestion would be that the underside of the eaves/roof overhangs needed to be painted to match the topside. And I wish that you had finished the backside of the house. Then it could be a great centerpiece or table decor. Just my opinion, but I do love your concept & how you brought your vision to life. Nice spooky haunted house! I think I’m going to distress paint the wood house rather than use the contact paper. That gray wood grain contact paper is really pretty though. So clever and easy to make a hanger for the orange lights. That idea can be used on a lot of different holiday projects. Wiring the flying bats made from kiddie rings was genius! I might play around with tissue paper ghost silhouettes in the windows, but I really do like the sparkly spiderweb mesh. The only thing I might add would be popsicles to support the base. Just a few to help keep the walls sturdy and squared up. I wonder if using the wooden jenga blocks inside the walls on the corners would help make it sturdier too?

This video from last year has inspired me to try this myself! I hope my $Tree still has the haunted house cutouts!!! I have passed them up my last two trips and now I could scream! Thank - you for your inspiration!

So I made this Super Cool haunted house, Great Idea!!!! :) On mine I added a floor base made with glued popsicle sticks painted black. Love the way it came out, My daughter loves it too! Keep those Ideas coming, can't wait to see Christmas stuff.
