I appreciate the unboxing. It would have been nice to see the SD card situation addressed, which is probably the most important part.

What’s the “SD card situation”? Like information regarding what card to use, etc? My bad if I didn’t address that thoroughly enough. It doesn’t include a card but I’d recommend a Sandisk Extreme micro SD card in either 128GB or 256GB. amzn.to/3VpQ5W5

@@DigitalTechReviewsTips Thanks and no worries. I wanted to see where the SD card is located and if it comes with one. It looks great, I guess my only concern is it seems more fragile than my GoPro. So I'd have to treat it a lot differently. How do you feel about it?

How do you get the footage from the camera to your computer or phone for editing? Is it wireless/cable/memory card???

Yes, yes and yes actually. With the OP3 you can: 1) Transfer wirelessly from the camera to your phone 2) Connect your phone or computer to the OP3 and transfer footage that way 3) Remove the card and slot it into your computer to transfer directly from the card

Fun fact: those silica packets aren’t poisonous as they can’t break down in the body (supposedly). They say DO NOT EAT because they’re a choking hazard

Woah! Look at that! I learn something new everyday! Still probably not a great snack I’m guessing (due to the aforementioned choking hazard and not being able to digest them) but at least good to know I wouldn’t have to hope on the phone with poison control.

I’m not 100% sure how well they would do with drum level loud sounds, but the good think about the DJI Mic 2 unit is that: 1) It can record a backup track in 32bit float which should allow it to capture a broader range of sounds (dynamically speaking) 2) Since the mic is separate from the camera you could conceivably put the mic in something like a sock (or two) to somewhat lessen the loudness.

Yes. The mic can connect via Bluetooth to your phone and I think also laptop/ipad.

I personally have never purchased screen protectors for any device other than my mirrorless camera (because of how it rubbed against the side of my backpack when I carried it). If you plan on carrying the OP3 mostly in its protective little sheath I see no reason to waste money on a screen protector.

Unfortunately no internal memory so definitely need to make sure you have a micro SD card. I recommend at least 64GB but probably better to go with 128 or 256 if you can afford it.

Yes. All of these accessories are available to purchase separately. So if you start off with just the stand alone Osmo Pocket 3 you can pick up the accessories you want later as you need them. Prices are as follows (in USD): Wide angle lens - $49 Pocket 3 combo bag - $35 Battery handle - $69 Mini tripod - $16 DJI Mic 2 (single) - $99 So technically the Combo gives you $270 of accessories for $150 extra - but if you don’t need everything in the kit (especially the wireless mic or battery handle) then it might not be worth it to you.

So are both the larger and smaller handles batteries? They both have a port for charging

Nope, just the larger one. Totally get why you’re confused though cause they look basically identical down to the charging port - but on the smaller one it just passes the charge through to the OP3 (since it covers up the port on the bottom) and on the larger handle it charges its internal battery and the OP3’s.

No. Definitely not. We might see DJI release a waterproof case eventually (they did with the Pocket 2) but currently I would not get this if you have any plans on using the camera in wet conditions.

In creator combo u get extras as one wide angle lens and battery handle and also mic transmitter, magnet clip and mini tripod, tripod attachment and protective case which onlyyy comes with DJI pocket 3. If they bought separately all extras without that tripod n case would cost more than combo.

While dji pocket 3 will ve protective case only.. No wide angle, mic trsnmitter not battery handle or tripod or tripod attachment.

But with DJI mic 2 which u buy , u get mic trsnmitter for 2 people but in combo only for one we get. Choose according to ur needs n buy.

My suggestion is buy creator combo. That would be sufficient for one person. If u additional require more mics then only buy DJI mic 2 set.

Oh that sucks - yeah been hearing from a lot of people that it’s pretty backordered. I guess it’s a good problem to have if you’re DJI cause it shows just how popular the Pocket 3 is but annoying to people wanting to get their hands on it. The good news is you’ll really appreciate it once you finally get it and then there might actually be some worthwhile accessories available. (I’ve been working on an accessory round up video for the past 3 months and have to keep pushing it back cause hardly any manufacturers have actually released any good original accessories yet)

No, though not really the biggest deal cause microSD cards are so affordable nowadays. Would recommend at least a 64GB one (if not 128/256). I like SanDisk’s like this one: amzn.to/3xE817i.

Yes. You’ll definitely need to get a microSD (at least 64GB if not more is my recommendation) before you can record video/take photos with the Pocket 3 as it does not have any built in storage.

Check at the 7:41 mark in the video. That cable is for charging the Osmo Pocket 3, battery handle, or Mic 2. No USB wall adapter though.

I lost all confidence in your unboxing when you struggled to stubbornly shred the battery sealed bag instead of effortlessly peeling it apart at the adhesive fold, obviously designed for easy access and re-use. Just an observation. Attention to detail goes a long way.
